The food was good but not GREAT for the money. I would expect the quality to dip after it was sold to Landry’s. Their leveraging of cost is ruining the great small chain restaurants they have taken over. My asparagus was lukewarm but I was super tired and hungry so I didn’t say anything. The scallops were good but also not super hot. My server was great. The decor needs a lot of love. It’s very dark and tired. Overall, there are better values for the quality. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Lily was our server and did an excellent job - friendly, prompt and informative. This was a group dinner, heavy on appetizers and drinks with some folks enjoying entrees. We liked some appetizers better than others: avocado toast, wings and Mac and cheese were favorites. We were happy to be there on Wednesday for 1/2 price bottles of wine. Convenient to Petco. We would go back! MoreOpenTable Diner -
Went there for my son's birthday and everything was fantastic! The food was and is always excellent and our server, Jason, is one of the best! We had asked to be seated at one of Mary's tables, but she was off that day so Jason was our waiter. He is one of the best! :) MoreOpenTable Diner -
Grant Grill did a great job accommodating our team dinner during a conference in San Diego, this despite the fact I underestimated the group size in our reservation. The dinner was delicious and I liked that the wine list is comprehensive enough to have good choices at all price levels but still accessible and not overwhelming. From the octopus to the salmon, lamb, sea bass and steelhead, everything was delicious and artful presented MoreOpenTable Diner -

Second time here for brunch and bottomless mimosas, as usual a great experience. However I did not like the two hour table limit, not really an enjoyable experience when someone puts a time limit on your outing. I understand they state they get booked but you should also want your customers to enjoy themselves and not feel like they are on an assembly line of customers. the service overall was great! Great fresh Italian food. It was actually around the corner from the main strip but that was OK because there was a little less noise. The service was a little bit on the slow side but our server was attentive. I felt the wine choices were a little bit limited but reasonably priced. The pasta was extremely fresh, fresh vegetables, love the house Italian dressing. I would’ve liked to seen a few more traditional Italian pasta offerings and more choices with the type of pasta you could choose for an entrée. It appears the only choices you had or Penne or spaghetti. I would’ve preferred something like angel hair with a veal or chicken dish. Otherwise the food was decent and reasonably priced. I would definitely come back as a family outing but would probably prefer something more upscale for something more intimate. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Excellent selection of Mezcals in a cool downtown atmosphere. A smaller venue, but still very comfortable. They are new, so when I asked for a menu of drinks, I was given a list with about 10-15 pages of alcohol, but none of it had prices. I'm sure they will fix this in the near future, because who needs a random price order that could cost me who knows what?? MoreOpenTable Diner -

LOVED this place for Sunday brunch. The food was incredible and there were so many options. Literally anything you could want. And they had everything in small plates so you could sample everything and not be too stuffed. From sushi to the cutest little wedge salad to prime rib to the best dessert room, everything tasted fabulous. There was also unlimited mimosas and excellent service. There was a live piano player and the setting was so special. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Overlooking San Diego Bay at the crossroads of downtown’s most storied neighborhoods, Chef Amy DiBiase and Chef Paul McCabe impart Vistal, a shared culinary tribute to the seaside communities and diverse cultures that encompass San Diego’s past and present. The two award-winning chefs seamlessly blend their contrasting takes on the region’s core flavors, presenting bright, bold combinations influenced by the Baja peninsula, Pacific islands, Mediterranean fishing villages and beyond for a refreshing new perspective on coastal Southern California cuisine.
With gleaming views of the water, Vistal’s design is reminiscent of San Diego’s endless summer. An imposing 29-seat bar is angled towards the USS Midway, which is framed by the dining room’s panoramic windows. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors let the sea breezes in, leading from the main dining area to a west-facing terrace offering tabletop seating, fireside lounges, and an elevated view of the bay.
