Decent Food, but Nothing Memorable The restaurant has a laid-back, low-key hotel atmosphere, which makes for a relaxed dining experience. Unfortunately, while the food was decent, nothing really stood out. We started with the Lobster & Corn Empanadas, Corn Ribs, and Guacamole. The empanadas were just okay, and I wasn’t a fan of the charred corn purée that accompanied them. The Corn Ribs were an interesting concept, but ultimately, I felt like we were just eating corn on the cob. That said, I did enjoy the dipping sauce. As for the Guacamole, it was exactly that—guacamole. Nothing particularly special or memorable. For our entrées, we ordered the Queso Birria Tacos and the House-Made Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Short Rib. Both were fine, but neither dish left much of an impression. We also had margaritas, which were underwhelming. I’ve definitely had better. Overall, the experience was just okay. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing wowed us either. For the price point, I expected more in terms of flavor, creativity, and execution. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a dining experience that left me wanting to return.

Great evening at SaltRock Southwest Kitchen. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. The weather in Sedona was quite extreme. We were originally seated indoors, and they moved us outdoors when it became nice. Then the thunder storms returned and they moved us back inside. Cocktails and dinner was superb. Can't wait to return.
