Tremont Cafe was recommended by a friend who set the expectation appropriately. Very good food, but pricey. I believe we got what we paid for. The drinks and food were interesting and delicious. I had the beet and cashew salad which had so many flavours and textures. It was very unique. I also had the sweet potato gnocchi with Brussels sprouts. It was light and flavourful. I loved it. My husband had the Steak Frites with the strip loin and it was a more basic dish (compared to mine), but still excellent. Tremont Cafe is going on our list for future special occasions.

Fat Pasha is chef Anthony Rose’s big, generous take on Mediterranean cooking, influenced by the Jewish food he grew up eating from his mother and bubbie. Opened in Toronto’s Annex in 2014, it’s built around bold flavours, vegetables, grilled meats, hummus, salatim, tahini, pickles and food made to share — including the whole roasted cauliflower that’s been there since day one.
Fat Pasha earned a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand in 2022 and 2023. Rose spent years cooking in influential kitchens for Jonathan Waxman, Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Bradley Ogden before returning to Toronto and becoming Executive Chef of The Drake Hotel. He later opened Rose and Sons, Big Crow, Schmaltz Appetizing and Fat Pasha. Rose and Sons also cooked a special brunch at the James Beard House in New York with Bonnie Stern.
More than a decade later, Fat Pasha is still what it was meant to be: loud, warm, casual and a little chaotic. Come with people you like, order too much food, put it in the middle and dig in.

Food was excellent, we had dinner on Friday, we were expected to have live Turkish music !The piano bar was also excellent ,maybe its more suited for weekdays or Sunday only.

This was agreed between my partner and I to be the best meal we had all year. The lamb shoulder was fantastic. We loved the hummus royale. Everything we ate was phenomenal. The decor is slightly underwhelming, but the food makes up for it. Wow!

One of the best dinners we have ever experienced 👌We do fine dining often but this evening was exceptional. The chef even customized my brisket to include pasta. Wow was a dinner 👏 The duck confit was just as great. We can’t wait to see them again 🙌
