About the restaurant

Housed within a beautifully restored 1898 church in downtown Bentonville, The Preacher's Son offers Northwest Arkansas's most distinctive fine dining experience. Executive Chef Neal Gray brings his Michelin-star training from acclaimed kitchens including The French Laundry and Blue Hill at Stone Barns to create seasonal menus that celebrate local ingredients with refined technique. The historic sanctuary features soaring ceilings, George Dombek's magnificent stained glass windows, and 288 individually hung gold bells, creating an atmosphere that feels both reverent and celebratory. As the anchor of a three-level hospitality experience that includes speakeasy Undercroft and seasonal rooftop bar Celeste, The Preacher's Son represents the heart of Bentonville's culinary scene, where history and hospitality converge.

This is a destination dining restaurant just off the Bentonville square. It has seasonal rooftop bar and a basement one with live music as scheduled. The main dining room is an open and visually striking space, but despite a good number of tables filled it never got loud. Service was thoughtful and intuitive, plating lovely, and food delicious. This place gets quite a bit of business dinners, so even on a Monday I would make reservations.

Great service, fresh flavorful food (the "obligatory" flatbread starter is indeed a must-have), and comfortable urban oasis setting. Caveat - we were there for weekday dinner and sat outside; weekday breakfasts and lunch may be much busier and fast paced vibe because the restaurant is on the Walmart HQ campus.
