We always know we're welcome at Tambascio's but, on this night they just outdid even themselves. We were out with a very special friend, our food was amazing and service was more than great, it was like being with family. Then, on the way out, we ran into the father of a very special young man we knew years ago and suddenly, we were were all part of this amazing gathering at the bar. We came for supper, but wound up with family, old friends, new friends, and a fabulous evening. Thanks to John, the family, Abby, and all the staff form the warmth and welcome that made it all just happen.

In the late 18th thru the early 20th centuries, A lot of Albanian’s immigrated to Italy for many year’s where they have gotten tremendous experience in Italian Cuisine. Later they flocked Italy to the USA looking for opportunities in the New World, and brought their culinary traditions along with them to neighborhoods that later became Little Italy and Hell's Kitchen. Philly's the owner of La Fortuna Bar and Restaurant she is one of them.

A return visit confirms that La Fortuna is by far the best lunch special in the entire area. Portions are more than generous, quality, presentation and value cannot be duplicated anywhere. Service tends to your every need without interruption.
