Russell’s Dining Room… a food lover’s delight, a winemaker’s favorite and a warm, friendly setting.
Celebrated our 11th Anniversary here. We moved to Bothell 3 1/2 years ago and had wanted to eat here since then. We were glad we did. The food was farm to table fresh and a good value for an upscale restaurant. My wife New York steak was enormous. My scallops were also large and both were perfectly cooked. The service was fantastic. We will definitely be back.
Usually we have good meals there, but something tells us that Russell must not have been there that evening. My wife's shrimp and pasta was good, but my NY steak was very tough. The server said they could make me the filet and i thought that was a great idea. Unfortunately it was delivered pretty much raw. I took one bite and had it packaged and cooked it last night. I sent some pictures of the raw filet to some friends and relatives and they were mortified at how raw the steak was. The scallops and bread pudding were very good. Usually they write Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary on the bread pudding plate, but even though they knew it was our anniversary the plate did not show that. Not a big deal though. It will probably be quite a while before we return to Russell's.
The food was to die for. I would go for appitizers, drinks and dessert next time. The scallops and crab cake were absolute perfection. We went for our anniversary and were too full for dessert unfortunately after the appetizers, bread and entres! My husband ordered the New York Steak- he wanted red meat, but said it could have used more salt, but he loved the mushroom risotto! I got the fettuchini with prawns and it was ok. The shining moments were our appetizers. So yummy.
So next time we come I think I will stick to the yummy bread, appetizers, and make sure to get dessert!
I highly reccomend trying this place out.
We were quickly seated, and our server tended to us promptly, but didn't bother us too much except to fill our water and bring us two good meals. The dessert and wine fantastic!
We enjoyed our food but my boyfriend said it would have been better if the lamb had a bit more of the sauce with it. There was a wedding going on upstairs and it was a bit noisy, but not overwhelmingly so. Our server Mathew was fantastic and very helpful with picking out my wine to pair with my meal!
A special occasion made even more special. Always on point, consistent with great service, what more can you ask for?
Our server (Rebecca N) was excellent as well as the assistants bringing food and refilling water glasses. We sat at table 43 which was a little loud for us ( we are older ) therefore in the future we might ask for a quieter area of the restaurant. We enjoyed the food and our time at Russells
Great place, great food and great service.
Great place for special occasions. Fantastic food and great service.
Always amazing service with Dan and exceptional food from chef Russell. Friends enjoyed our dinner very much!
Still a favorite after all these years. Lara - server extraordinaire.
The food was excellent and so was the service! I highly recommend the scallops best I’ve ever had!
The New York and Fillet steaks are AMAZING. A bit of a problem when my wife wanted her salad WITH her dinner instead of before (she wanted no starch). Seemed to create a big problem that we've never had anywhere before
A hidden gem. We have lived in the Seattle area for over 40 years and had never been to Russell's before. It's a great place with EXCELLENT service. Food was good and wine list was great. Take the time to find the old barn and have a fun experience at Russells.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Russell's on Friday. Everything was perfect, appetizers to dessert. Our server, Rebecca, was especially wonderful! In fact, all the staff were relaxed and welcoming. This is a perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion!
1. best service anywhere, hands down;
2. best scallops of MY LIFE;
3. felt special on our anniversary.
noise level was a little crazy given the type of place, was much better when music came on but that wasn’t until last 30mins of meal.
we will be back!
I would recommend this restaurant under certain circumstances. We’ve been under better conditions, the climate was cold(air conditioning), noise level was out of control.
We began in the bar, the bartenders seemed to have better things to do. While there was enough seating, the clientele was less then interested in accommodating for two.
Our server, Kendra, was fabulous & did everything she could to mitigate the bad situation.
We went to Russells for a special occasion due to friends recommendation. Food was average tasting and expensive. Did not mind the expense if everything had been excellent, but it was not the case. The special, caprese salad, was about the same as dining at Applebee's with mostly salad and a couple of pieces of wedged tomato; the beef carpaccio was so thin, it was like jelly and could not scoop it off the plate. The lamb, main course, although we ordered it medium rare, was purple (raw). When we sent it back to heat it up to medium rare (which is what we ordered) it came back overcooked and this time smothered in gravy that was not there when dish was first presented. The scallops appetizer was nice, however, and some pieces of bread were less salty then others, but had to fish for them. All in all would not go back as food was just OK and not worth the price.
Amazing service, despite the subpar meal we still tipped well because our waitress was very personable and engaging. The highlight of my steak dish was the zucchini...
My rack of lamb was suppose to be med rare and is was rare rare! The risotto was bland and overall I was not thrilled with my meal. Our wine however was very good. My husband had the scallops and they were perfectly cooked.
Fabulous experience, all around! Wonderful attentive service, and AMAZING food, and terrific wine selection. Will be a regular, for sure.
Russell's hasn't updated their menu in years and, frankly, it's tired and overpriced. The wait staff is well trained and service is what you would expect in a destination restaurant.
Russell's never disappoints. Lara is the best server ever, she always remembers us. We feel like we're dining with family whenever we go.
Excellent meal! Have been before, will go again! Service was exceptional
As always we enjoyed their delicious food, well prepared, well presented and of the highest quality. The service is good, the wine list well thought-out, and the overall experience leaving me looking forward to our next visit to Russell's.
We have always enjoyed Russell’s. The bartender there has gone above and beyond every visit to the point we have brought 4 sets of friends to try out Russell’s. Each have been highly complimentary of the service.
This was our first time trying dinner and there was a clear difference in the customer experience. Our waiter was awful, we felt he ignored our requests and pretty much was an overall disappointing evening. We had heard rave reviews about the scallops. One Example: The menu has an entree AND an appetizer scallop with the exact same title. When we asked if they were the same item, or if they prepared the dish differently, our waiter could not differentiate or describe the difference. Only that they were “different”..
our friends also felt a negative vibe from him when asking about the halibut.
We will come back for happy hours and the great bartender. Sadly that was the last dinner we will bring our friends to.
Appetizers, entrees, and desserts were outstanding as was the wine that was recommended; I'll definitely be back!
This place never disappoints- that & they have the best server in Dan!!! :) Keep up the good work Russell!!!
We visited Russell's with friends to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent, especially the Scallop appetizer. The server was attentive without being intrusive, put in a rush order for an appetizer that was overlooked, and replaced a bottle of wine we ordered when upon opening discovered that the bottle was bad. Food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was average, could use some spruce-up to be on par with the food.
Great dinner, food was delicious, service was on point, just a perfect evening
It was recommended by two patrons. Scallops were delicious. Meaty soft and just golden to boost its flavor. Fillet mignon was perfect and portion is good for two to share. Salt loving Husvand loved chicken. It’s a bit salty for me as I cut back on sodium. Voss sparkling water was great. Wait staff came around . We didn’t drink wine so can’t tell how it was.
Amazing place for a nice dinner out with a loved one. The food is incredible and well worth the price.
First time at Russell's, the food was really good, location was neat and nestled in the industrial park of the Bothell Area. Our waiter was great and overall was an all around good experience!
We chose to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary at Russell’s This wasn’t our first time at Russell’s and we knew that the service, food and ambiance would be on point. We were not disappointed. Thank you for an amazing night! .
as always dan is the man great food great atmosphere and great company
Great service and great food!
I've heard about Russell's for years, but we've never visited until recently. Looking for a nice, local restaurant to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary, I was reminded by a friend about Russell's. Our servers were so friendly and the food was delicious. My parents really enjoyed it and so did we. I can't wait to go back, especially for the cheesecake!
