   The guy who sat us was friendly but other than our interaction with him this place was poor. Our waitress was not friendly and I barely saw her not only at our table but any of her other tables. Had I not asked for refills I would not have gotten any. The food was terrible other than the Alfredo my son got off the kids menu. My husband got the seafood mac and cheese which was for some strange reason watery. I got the blackened flounder over risotto which as a whole was under seasoned and the risotto was so dry it wasn't edible. We come to savannah often but this was the first time we've eaten here and will 100% be our last.

   There were a couple of items that we ordered but did not eat due to taste. The table next to us was the same. Other items were excellent. The oysters with collards appetizer was a let down.

   The food was delicious and we enjoyed it on the river walk patio! Great service, great prices and wonderful place to enjoy our 30th Anniversary dinner. They even surprised us with an anniversary card!

   We were there for less than an hour. We had a cocktail and her appetizers came right away. But I am in chorus game before you’re halfway done with her appetizer. It felt rushed, as if they’re obviously trying to turn the tables over.

   Upon entering we we're placed at a table by a door OK after sitting awhile I wanted to be next to my wife as the table was quite large an I seemed far away from her and the conversation was not going I informed my waiter the I wanted to move closer he told me I couldn't because I would be blocking the door and it would be a fire hazard this table should be moved or made smaller to accommodate a couple better the food my wife had was great I was glade that she had some left as it was marvelous the shrimp and scallops over pasta. I had the Mahi and it tough and dry with a slight peppery taste it was on abed of something that was alright a little bland but better then the Mahi we had calamari it was very good. We ended our meal we shared a peach cobbler but the table was so big we had to keep pushing the plate back a forth had the waiter brought to small plates with it we wouldn't have noticed the inconvenience all in all it was alright we would go back just for the shrimp and scallops and the calamari but would not sit at that table if it were notfor the table I would even say romantic in the review

    We were seated by SHANNON who we adored from the get go. She gave us a window seat where we watched the container ships and Savannah River Queen pass. SIDNEY took care of our table side needs and was quite lovely. We had passed by the River House many times and finally gave it a try. I had flounder Oscar lightly blackened over creamy rice and spinach. It was wonderful. My dining companion had the special. A filet over orzo and vegetables. Quite delicious. It was a great experience and we look forward to dining there again.

    Food was not as described. I ordered a pasta with seared scallops and shrimp and they definitely were not seared. Also, the waitress acted like she could care less. Very nonchalant which was disappointing because we went to celebrate my nieces 21st birthday. It just wasn’t a good experience.

    As it was our 50th wedding anniversary (5/26/) we were expecting a lot! We had eaten at the River House a few years back and were totally satisfied. This time was a let down, food was average and our waitress had a total attitude. (She just didn't want to be there) I would like to add that she was not rude but not at all friendly....Maybe she needs a night off !!!!!!

    Great food, great ambiance, definitely try some of their cocktails and the fried green tomatoes are fantastic. Beware if you have to change your reservation and do it on the open table app it apparently doesn’t transfer to the restaurant so when we arrived we were almost an hour late according to them although our app showed the correct time. The gentleman at front of restaurant was fantastic and got us seated right away even though the open table app had not notified them of our change of plans. Great service will definitely stop in again.

    Great server and ambience. Had made a reservation for dinner at 7 and was seated promptly. Only complaint was the dessert ordered peach cobbler which was obviously not fresh peaches as listed on menu. Tasted like can peaches, We had been advised to ask for it heated which we did. Presentation was very nice taste not so much. Word to wise don’t order fruit dessert unless fruit in season. Would return for dining as good other than dessert were very delicious.

    My wife’s steak was way over done. We had to wait for a remake. By the time she got her food I had finished. It was my 70th Birthday dinner. Not very good experience.

    Wonderful food and service. We had lunch and ordered seared scallops, fried green tomatoes and lobster shrimp rolls. Also bloody Mary’s. Everything was 5 stars. It is a quiet lovely place with very friendly staff. It will be on my list any time Zuzu go back to Savannah. Don’t miss it.

    The Grouper Oscar was bland and salty. Hard to find the crab. Everything else was very good. It was hard to catch our servers attention in between food delivery.

    Our night was completed with dinner at River House. On our reservation we noted that this was an anniversary visit. On our arrival no one mentioned our anniversary at all. Would have been nice to have had greeted with a happy anniversar

    I was so excited to eat here, what a let down. Also it was Mothers Day! Appetizer was oyster with collard tasted disgusting and a couple of the oysters were bad. I had a crab cake salad. The crab cake was all filler didn't see any crab. My husband wanted the Maui that was on the menu they were out of that so he ordered the fish of the. His fish was cold and the potatoes were under cooked. The server told us up front that they were out of a lot of food and we could expect a longer wait time. Server asked how we liked are meal are response was no we didn’t . Server went the Manager and got us 15.00$ off our bill which was ridiculous. That didn't even cover the tax… will not recommend or go back. Very very dissatisfied. Server was good.

    I hate leaving bad reviews but this restaurants google rating is not accurate or to date. My wife and I Ordered the blackened flounder and chef’s appetizer. Appetizer came out at the same time as the flounder. Couldn’t tell if waitress was having a bad day but she was unpleasant and not attentive. We thought it might just be a bad day for them but once we got the black flounder, it was rubbery and not fresh. The risotto had no flavor and tasted like rice that had been sitting in water for a while. I hate leaving bad reviews but this restaurant was a waste of time and ruined my wife’s and I’s appetite for the rest of the night. I hope it was just a bad visit for us but they didn’t do anything to make it right either. Hope they can turn it around to the good reviews they used to get in the past.

    I would not recommend this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best, I ordered the pecan salmon which had little taste and the mashed sweet potatoes were awful - too sweet and overcooked. The waiter was rude and could care less about customer service.
