Founding Farmers - King of Prussia
Not how I remembered. Seems like they downsized brunch buffet but still good. 4 out of 5
was so excited for the “handmade pasta” it was awful. hard to mess up pasta with salt pepper and cheese. there was no salt it was tasteless and the noodles were thick and dense. I ordered the lobster salad and it was so over cooked. will never go back.
also the bar will not stray from the “bar menu” - ambience is somewhat deceiving but it’s basically T.G.I. friday’s a little dressier.
First impression walking up to the desk to let them know I had a reservation was it was very noisy. That first impression carried through the entire meal. The second impression that was also not good was the list of “Worldwide” draft beers. Of the approximately 20 “draft” beers 17 were from the USA, 1 was from Mexico, 1 was from the Czech Republic and the 3rd was a “bottled” beer from England; pretty bad “World” selection. So first 2 impressions were both negative, hence the overall rating. I would not recommend it and will not go back.
Food was delicious, as it is at all of the other FF restaurants. This particular location was pretty busy and therefore quite noisy. It was hard to hear each other. Our server was also pretty slow. Took a long time to get our order taken and get our drinks. Then a really long time to get our check in the end.
OMG GRAPEFRUIT BRÛLÉE is my new favorite “healthy” food. The hot food was all cooked very very delicious, but was cold when we put it on our plates (maybe to prevent over cooking?). They were accommodating too - when they had an oven malfunction and all we wanted was cinnamon rolls they said to come back in 20 min and they’d have it waiting for us at the front desk (they did). I also have a nut allergy and they broke down each cuisine I could eat. Highly recommend! Price is a bit steep but it’s for a farmers union so I think it’s worth it!
Delicious food! I would recommend to go with an appetite so you can try all the amazing things... And get your money's worth
First time and will not be my last. Food was awesome. Many choices to choose from.
Excellent cuisine and excellent service. This is a pricey outing, but well worth it. Noise level a bit high.
We had a party of twelve and the service was great and efficient. The menu had something for everyone. It was a good choice.
Great healthy options and good service.
A great place for a family dinner for any occasion. Very good food, excellent staff, overall very nice place !!
My fourth time at the Founding Farmers in KofP and its always first class . I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner and would highly recommend.
Very loud place. Food is awesome. Service takes a while. A real while. Like very long. But it’s worth it. Highly recommend. Thanks
Meatless burger is not good. Really enjoyed fisherman’s stew
This was the second time I asked others to eat at Founding Farmers and it will be the last.
The noise level was such that I had a difficult time trying to listen to a guest sitting next to me.
Love this place. Food very good. Always busy which put service off this time. They forgot our apps
We had lunch reservations on a day when there were several large parties in the restaurant. After being seated, we asked to be moved because the noise from one of the parties was just too much. Unfortunately, the noise level at the next table wasn't much better. Our waitress was prompt and pleasant, but we waited nearly an hour from placing our order to getting our food. The manager did come over and explain that the kitchen was swamped because of the big groups and he offered us free desserts. The food was delicious, although the portions are really too large. The cornbread is terrific and the salads are very tasty.
Hi LW76: Thank you for your review. I am real sorry to read that your lunch experience was somewhat compromised by the events taking place at the time of your visit. :/ We appreciate your feedback and do hope for the chance to have you back for another try in the future! Please call us at 484-808-4008 for any reservation help needed. -Amy
First time. Loved the décor and openness and light from all the windows. Service was impeccable and food was excellent. Can't wait to go back. Would like to go to happy hour and Sunday brunch.
The menu is great and service is unparalleled.
We love eating here. We bring relatives for special occasions or when our family can’t agree on somewhere else, we can always agree on FF! The menu is vast and fresh. Their drinks and flavored sodas are outstanding. Love the ambiance and menu options. Our server wasn’t the brightest bulb in our last visit. He kept coming back to the table and asking again what people ordered. The service was slow with this one but typically isn’t. We were waiting for 15 min for the check while he was out having a smoke. You could tell by the smell. Still would go back in a heart beat and just not accept the same served
Great restaurant! Beautifully designed space - very noisy so don't think you can have a quiet conversation. 3 of us dined, we all loved drinks, apps and entrees. Garlic black pepper wings are a must. Husband had Crab Louie and licked the plate clean. Generous portions and great values. Thank you FF!
Overall including the food the experience was average. Second time I was there within 30 days and each time they were out of what I ordered. Just bad luck. I will go back at some point just not soon.
Hi DonG: I am super sorry to know that we have been out of the very one dish you have your eye on, during your past two visits. :/ Our team wants to do our very best to ensure this disappointment does not occur a third time, and ask that you please call us in advance of your visit to confirm our availability: (484) 808-4008. Thank you and we hope to have you back again soon! -Amy
I went to Founding Farmers for the Sunday Brunch after having great experiences for breakfast in the past. The buffet was mediocre, the food was dried up and overcooked. It was very small with hardly any breakfast items and most lunch items. very disappointing. It was $30/person, even for my tiny 15-year-old daughter who had half a plate of food (most places will see how little she eats and give us a children's rate)
I'd go back for regular breakfast, but definitely not for brunch.
Hi LaurenceB: Thank you for sharing your brunch feedback with us. I am so sorry that your experience failed to measure up to our a la carte breakfast, and overall left something to be desired. :/ We appreciate you letting us know these details and our Culinary Team will take into account what you shared about the food this time. We hope to have you & your daughter back soon, and please call us at (484) 808-4008 for any reservation help needed. -Amy
Unfortunately it was way to crowded, by the time you got back to the table, the food was cold.
The food was just so-so... not as good as I was informed.
Food was delicious, decor is beautifully decorated like modern farmhouse.
Can't wait to go back again!
Parking is tight because the parking lot/shopping center is so busy.
Service and atmosphere was great. The mussels with red sauce were amazing. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish were very greasy and soggy and they placed them on top of the fries which caused the fries to absorb all the grease. This resulted in a sloppy, soggy mess. The flavors were ok but just a giant grease ball.
I’ve been coming to Founding Farmers for 10 years (starting in DC), but the best part about them is they get better and better with every visit. I have always raved about them and have spent many occasions here. This being my third time at the KOP location, I have to say that I am never disappointed. The service is always delightful and the food is incomparable! The ambiance is so unique and that really helps make this place so likeable. LOVEABLE! If you’re looking for amazing food and value, this is your place. It’s hard to nail every aspect of the dining experience, but they do it effortlessly!
The menu was a nice combination of all different types of food as were the prices. We enjoyed everything about it. The prices were not bad but the cost of a glass of wine was a little high.
My chicken salad sandwich was delicious it was made with cranberry bread.
Made a reservation for my husband and I just to get away for the afternoon. We ended up getting there in time for brunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was fresh and delicious! Craig, our dining “liaison”, was amazing! We also enjoyed a few of the other servers who would come by with little hors d'oeuvres and would chat for a few moments. Service like that is what stands out and keeps me coming back!
We love to come here for special occasions, and our visit was as great as all prior dining experiences. The food was eclectic, tasty, and provided multiple options for both meat-eating/vegan diners. Finding broccoli rabe as a side dish was a bonus!! As part of the brunch buffet, multiple mini-options are passed around by wait staff, and this week included old-school deviled eggs, crispy spicy fried shrimp, and teriyaki steak on a skewer. We were also offered several "made to order" breakfast dishes, including eggs florentine, eggs benedict, and buttermilk pancakes! I love the several seating spaces and that this is a family-friendly place. At $29/person, the brunch is a wonderful bargain as it includes your beverage (coffee is stellar here)! We are never rushed through our meal, and the wait staff are beyond excellent and friendly! Highly recommend FF!
I’ve eaten here before but for some reason last night, the chef was heavy handed with the salt. I mean very very heavy handed. Both meals were extremely salty. It was very difficult to eat. We didn’t return the meal because we hadn’t eaten anything all day but the food alone was not that great given how salty it was. Dessert and service was excellent!! Very disappointed about our dinner...our last visit the risotto in my shrimp and crab was undercooked, but also over cooked as the outside was chalky like. I’ve had plenty of risotto in my lifetime and a big fan of it but will likely never order the risotto at this restaurant again. Enjoy the friendly bartenders and ambiance but hope my food improves.
First visit was totally awesome. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely return.
Thank you, Tony for sharing your wonderful review with us! We really appreciate it and look forward to having you back for a return visit very soon. :) -Amy
Excellent service and food.
Good as always, but the one in DC has slightly better food in my opinion.
I placed a reservation for a birthday and from the pictures it looked like a nice atmosphere for a nice celebration. When we were seated, we were seated in the very casual, diner looking area. Even though the reservation said we were celebrating a birthday they failed to appropriately seat us in one of the nicer dining rooms. After being seated it took way too long for food to get to our table and for the price the food was very bland. Would not recommend
Yummy. Great food. Kettle corn is amazing.
Enjoyed a very varied menu and comfortable atmosphere.
Absolutely fantastic meal, wonderful waiter and service. Highly recommend! Have the scallops- they are out of this world
