Adjoining Spinasse is our Aperitivo Bar, Artusi. Join us before dinner for handcrafted cocktails and antipasti.
What Insiders Are Saying
Spinasse in Capitol Hill is one of the best fork-up-your-money Italian restaurants in Seattle.
Faithful fan of Spinasse for years. Thank you for always making my friends, family and myself feel well taken care of. Love the Tajarin al Ragu but enjoy the thoughtfully curated menu and wine list!
We had dinner on 8/14. Both of us had the tajarin in sage butter but the pasta was very much overcooked, and very salty. Tajarin is delicate and hard to get it just right. It maybe an off night. Spinasse is known for their pasta so I hope they will pay attention to do it right. Also, we have salty taste but on the 14th, everything was oversalt, from the english pea salad to the pasta and the kale sautéed in garlic.
The pastas were great. We ordered the butter/sage and ragu. The only thing I would change is the pasta type, I love thicker pasta for my dishes. Other than that, it a nice spot to get some good authentic Italian dishes. Oh and the zucchini flowers are aaaaamazing!
Spinasse is the best restaurant in Seattle. So consistently, amazingly delicious every time. OMG the butter sage pasta......
Amazing! Some of the best Italian inspired dishes I've ever had. We'll be back.
The butter and sage pasta is fantastic!
The menu is fairly limited. Our wait person did not know how to smile. I feel Spinasse is overrated.
This time we had a risotto dish, which was a first for our many visits to Spinasse, and it was so stellar we have taken another restaurant off of our list entirely. Much of our fine dining is centering around Spinasse now because it is unbeatable on a lot of vectors.
The food and service was wonderful. Would have preferred not sitting right next to door. Dessert wasn’t anything special. Dinner was very good
Overall we were disappointed. Your place came highly recommended and we felt for the cost the portions were small and flavors underwhelming. Our server was great though . She was the highlight of the evening.
It was our treat dinner for our 30th wedding anniversary and it didn’t live up to the hype.
It was my second time in in here, and everything was excellent once more. This place stays up there on my list of Seattle favorites.
A Nice place with great service. Food was good but can’t compare to NYC nor Charlotte. The hyp is overstated and I can’t understand the difficulty in getting a reservation.
FOOD AND SERVICE WERE BOTH EXCELLENT - WE JUST ASKED THE SERVER TO BRING US WHAT HE THOUGHT WS GOOD - FANTASTIC MEAL - ONLY ISSUE WAS SITTING OUTSIDE RIGHT NEXT TO THE STREET - LOUD!
Very good and authentic Italian food. Thank you for the wonderful service
Another wonderful meal with great service! We always enjoy visiting Spinasse when we are in town. The food, wine and service always exceeds expectations!
Every single frigging thing I ate there was absolutely delicious. No not just delicious. Amazingly delicious. Best meal I’ve had in Seattle.
Amazing as usual!!! Favorite restaurant and perfect place to celebrate my daughter's 21st bday!
Tajarin pasta amazing and unlike any other pasta we had had before. Delicious!
Always have a wonderful experience here. The room, service and food are fabulous. We shared the house antipasti (3 of us) and it was amazing; you get some of all their antipasti dishes - salads as well as prosciutto and melon and more. The stuffed artichoke blossoms were delicious. Then their pastas are homemade and really excellent; husband and I usually share 2 half portions. The wait staff is very helpful and will bring you more of their delicious bread! Can’t go wrong here for a special occasion!
Outstanding fine pasta with sage butter! Completely enjoyable evening, Kathleen was great. Everything was fresh and creative.
Amazing experience, service was perfect and the food was outstanding, broccoli was a bit over seasoned.
What a delicious meal! We started with the mixed antipasto - everything was very tasty. We then split two of the pasta dishes: the special rabbit ravioli and the mushroom ragout. The rabbit was exceptional and the mushroom quite good. Our secundi was good - the pork and the rabbit were delicious. My salmon seemed out of place - it was well cooked and tasted good but didn't seem to mesh with the rest of the menu. Our dolci of the tiramisu was amazing. I'll be back to try the "taste the whole menu" option!
The food was okay but the service was not very attentive.
Absolutely fabulous food. Their pastas are among the best I've ever had. Of particular note was the Tajarin con burro e salvia - don't miss it! Their appetizers (all of them) are equally good. Make sure you try the squash blossoms. The main course of the pork shoulder, Maiale al latte, was also fabulous.
Service needed help. While we weren't rushed, there were many lapses. Even with the less than stellar service, the food and value compensated.
Never a disappointment.
Terrific and knowledgeable staff who take pride in serving fresh and delicious food in a nice setting. We recently had a great dinner catching up with old friends. Would go there again and highly recommend it to others!!
Lovely food and atmosphere. Very authentic dishes and extensive wine list. We will be back!
Always great food with excellent service. Pastas are amazing and the rabbit dishes are a must-have if they're on the menu. Their bar has a great selection for Italian liquors and a knowledgeable staff.
Our starter was a pea and cauliflower salad. We had 2 pastas (a risotto with balsamic and a pasta with mushrooms). For the next course, we had the rabbit meatballs, which are really fantastic.
The tasting menu is great, but you should come hungry - it's a lot of food.
Note that they serve northern Italian food, inspired by the Piedmont regionof Italy that borders France. This is NOT the red tomato sauces typical of southern Italian cuisine (many ppl think that's all of Italian cuisine). People who want pizza, baked ziti, or a big bowl of spaghetti with enormous meatballs in red sauce should go elsewhere - you won't find it at this resurant. If you're open to new taste experiences or like northern Italian food, then you should come here.
incredible flavors! Ordered the HALF portion of Prosciutto and it was immense and 2 of us to eat it. No complaints! Pasta with sage was mouth melting and Zuppa Inglese was the best ever had.
The food was way overpriced for the small amount of pasta you get and the taste was ok
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. I made a trip out there just to eat the pasta!
We come to Spinasse every time we are in Seattle
Great service. Hand made pasta with butter and sage is a must!
We go to Spinasse a couple of times a year and it is marvelous every time. The milk braised pork shoulder was insanely good. Their pastas are the best I have had anywhere. We'll be back again and again.
We were visiting Seattle for the weekend and the reviews of this place made me want to go, and we are so happy we did! Everything about Spinasse was great, the food, the staff, the quiet ambience. Special shout-out to our lovely server who helped us make up our own tasting menu. We of course had the two house special pastas and they were amazing. Also had the assortment of appetizers plus the stuffed zucchini blossoms, which were out of this world. The restaurant seems to carefully space out how many guests are in the space at any given time, so it never felt crowded, nor did we feel rushed so they could turn our table over to the next guests. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Seattle!
Wonderful service, delicious food. We have been to Spinasse many times and are never disappointed. Fantastic Northern Italian cuisine.
So good!!!!!!! Everything here is absolutely exceptional. The food is so clean and expertly prepared, it’s an absolute treat and is at the top of my choices for a meal out. The tasting menu really gives you an opportunity to experience just how good this place is, its amazing.
We traveled to Seattle with intent on visiting Spinasse a second time after an outstanding dining experience 2 years ago. Nothing less than excellent service and carefully crafted food. Can’t miss the house-made pasta. Tasting menu is the way to go. Brilliant restaurant!
I forget our servers name, but he was an absolute delight. First time here and he explained everything to us. Service was wonderful. Food was even better. Definitely will be back. Thank you guys!!
