Spectacular. We had a fabulous dinner. Highly recommended. We had the cheese gnocchi- lighter than air.
Excellent food and great service. Great place for groups!
Four of us celebrated my son's 35th birthday at Gnocchi. We ordered 4 different appetizers (2 were on the "specials" list) and 4 different entrees. Everything was wonderful...and huge...which is not a complaint! I've eaten at Gnocchi a number of times over the years and plan to keep it at the top of my list of favorites. It just gets better! And it's a BYO!
Had the best night celebrating birthday with family. Staff went out of their way for us! The lobster and crab ravioli were too die for!!! Will be back soon;)
Excellent food - excellent service. Just noisy when they have a full house. But worth every penny.
Everything is great at gnocchi. Always order the specials. They are off the hook!!
I haven’t been here in years and everything was just as I remembered it ! Gnocchi are cut perfectly with the perfect amount of flavor in each bite ! We also got the mussels, and buratta as an appetizer, both which also melted in my mouth. Would go back every night if I could !
We went based on a recommendation from friends. Definitely not disappointed. I cannot tell you how good the risotto and braised lamb was. Very reasonable and incredible food!!
Very happy with this find! A great choice for a delicious dinner where you can keep it pretty casual. The gnocchi ricotta special in blush sauce was AMAZING, as were the meatball and green bean appetizers. Plates were large portions for a very reasonable price. Looking forward to going back with friends!
Note: Cash & BYOB!
Great staff food fantastic. From the music to the outstanding staff and every food dish was top notch. Cant wait to go back to try out rest of menu!!!$
Great service! They brought out a homemade dessert for my dads 63rd birthday! Very kind and the food was amazing as always! Best Mussels in town!
Small dining room, but in a charming way. Service was wonderful- explained options and specials- remained attentive throughout the evening. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. Crisp, cold Caesar salads, delicious meatballs, wonderful gnocchi w/ bolognese sauce. Enjoyed the desserts too! Will go again on our next trip to Philadelphia. Note: BYOB and CASH ONLY.
Green beans as an app??? Wow. Gnocchi in an Alfredo sauce. Simply superb.
Alysa truly provides top notch service with impeccable food by her side. The tuna is phenomenal as well as their signature GNOCCHI! You’d be stupid not to come in for their amazing Italian experience. Not to mention it is BYO.
Food very good, but wasted between a very, very noisy room and a dessert server that was so arrogant and visibly annoyed when we would not order dessert, that all of us could not believe it and was a bad ending.
This is the second time I've taken a group there for a celebration. Both times we went with the Chef's Tasting Menu and blown away with plate after plate of fresh, delicious food. We all left beyond full and with a little something to save for later. I highly recommend Gnocchi and will be back!
Gnocchi was the best. The food is insanely good, the wait staff is super friendly and good spirited and overall, I would recommend this place to anyone.
This was my first time at Gnocchi, and I had an absolutely amazing time! Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and the food satisfies the soul. I plan on returning very soon!
OUTSTANDING EVENING!!!!! Would highly recommend if you are interested in delicious food, great company and an overall fantastic experience!!!!!
Great food. Definitely try the gnocchi. They were pretty good with my crazy kids, except they were a little standoff-ish about ordering right away, which is key with hungry kids.
Outstanding food! Felt like we were in Rome again!
Absolutely delicious and large potions so you can easily get two meals out of what you order but the service was a bit slow. Still plan on going back.
Have been here numerous times - one of our must take friends to places. Have always enjoyed the food.
Yummy food and wonderful service!
I felt like I was in Italy. What an awesome find. Top notch service with fantastic food. BYOB makes this place even better since there is a great wine and spirts store down the block. We’ll be back to try the rest of the menu and the extensive specials.
Super cute restaurant turning out BIG plates of gnocci. My partner and I brought our kiddos in to have dinner and to celebrate a birthday. The mussels were spectacular and the gnocci is awesome - very big portions and delicious sauce.
This is by far my favorite restaurant in philly. The staff is excellent and warm and makes you feel like they know you. The food is exceptional. I can’t say enough good things. I’m moving soon and this restaurant will be one of my most missed parts of philly. Highly recommend.
Our waitress tried to do her job but the kitchen was awful at how they handled our order. It took an hour to finally get our first appetizer, steamed mussels which were very good. Then we were told it would be another wait for the rest of our order because a large party had come in AFTER us but they were serving them first. We decided to leave and management did not charge us for the one appetizer. We left a tip for the waitress.
We hadn’t been to Gnocchi in several months and we went on Sunday and it was FANTASTIC! The food was delicious and plentiful! Service was very good and they made us feel good about being there!
Absolutely amazing, we were celebrating my girlfriends birthday and they treated us so nicely and gave us a free dessert with a candle and everything! Definitely will be back!
Worst service ever. Staff including owners / manager were extremely rude.. had the worst attitude. Never will go back, food was OK 3/5 service I would rate at 0/5 if I could
We dined at Gnocchi this past Saturday to celebrate my parents’ 50th anniversary. Gnocchi is one of our favorite restaurants and they did not disappoint. The food and service was outstanding and they made my parents celebration very special.
Food was phenomenal!
Amazing! Would definitely go back in a heartbeat!
This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. The gravy is terrific, the gnocchi are terrific and I have been there twice and loved everything I tried (It will sound otherwise, but I am really quite picky).
I have had (with my wife) the tuna steak on an arugula salad, chicken parmigiana, chicken Florentine and Gnocchi entrees. I have also had the eggplant, meatball and Portobello Mushroom appetizers. I loved them all. Warning - the meatball and Portobello appetizers are quite large (and very good).
To me ingredients are everything. In an Italian restaurant I want good olive oil, great cheeses, good balsamic vinegar and homemade pasta. I also want a simple, basic delicious gravy. This place has it all. Basic great food.
They also always seem to have several specials each night so the limited menu posted on Open Table is miss leading. Listen carefully because the specials are really special.
We dine out 7 nights a week and this place will become one of my weekly stops.
We were first timers and chose the restaurant as it is good for groups and had nice reviews. Some of the food is very good (portobello mushrooms/ artichoke/ meatballs with linguini), while other dishes are meh at best (gnocchi, tuna, flounder). Portions are HUGE; our waitress did not guide us well in this respect. We were a table of 7 and could have EASILY shared 4 entrees (rather than the 7 we ordered). Also, we specifically chose this restaurant b/c they served GLUTEN FREE pasta (we called in advance and made notes in reservation) and they were out. The flounder was a terrible disappointment.
Also, the food from the kitchen was TERRIBLY slow. Only 2 occupied tables for a 5.45 PM reservation and the kitchen spent more time sending out delivery orders than taking care of the people who were actually in the restaurant.
We'd go back if we were in the mood for meatballs as they were exceptional. Would skip most of the rest.
Very nice BYO with attentive service and excellent pasta.
From outstanding service to delicious food, this place is a must visit!
CASH AND BYOB
We found a table at the last minute on a Sarurday night and really enjoyed this neighborhood restaurant.
It was crowded with locals and the food was wonderful. They have a small menu, but probably ten fresh specials that were amazing. Next time we are in Philadelphia, we will make sure that we return. They make you feel welcome.
