One of LA's finest Italian restaurants, Osteria Mozza in Hollywood is still very much at the top of its game.
Not accommodating at all- no flexibility to running behind schedule. We’re tv executives, meetings run late. Telling us we have to be done by a certain time, come on!
Noise level was bad and attitude of the server was awful

The entrees were exquisitely prepared. I ordinarily do not eat such rich food, so I would try to balance my selections to make room for dessert. I thought the wine was overpriced but a cocktail was par for the course. A glass of wine averages $33 almost the cost of many entrees. And corkage fee is $45 which is dis-inviting. Yet, a great dinning experience

Our Anniversary dinner at Osteria Mozza was sadly very average. We have been going to this restaurant for years and have ALWAYS held it in such high regards. Our waiter was inattentive, our burricotta was uninspiring, with a grainy bland texture to both the cheese and the toast it sat on. Nancy's Cesar was delicious and we loved our wine (suggested by sommelier). The rest was forgettable. Not sure will go back.
SPEECHLESS! One of the best restaurants in Los Angeles.
Food was good but on the salty side. Our waiter disappeared for 20ish minutes so our last entree came incredibly late. Total dining time took approximately 2 hours due to the long wait for our last entree.
Fortunately we were seated in the intimate back room and not the main room which was deafening.
I had high hopes and was unfortunately mostly underwhelmed. I’ve had far better/lighter/tastier and more authentic gnocchi elsewhere. The bottle of Super Tuscan we ordered wasn’t nearly as good as other Super Tuscan wines I’ve had. Didn’t care for the smoked burrata and wish I had opted for a different selection there. Loved the watercress and avocado salad. My friend loved her pasta with sausage. I tried it and it had a little kick but was definitely tasty. Bombolini were good, though I wished the cream was slightly sweeter to offset how very tart the huckleberry was. The pistachio gelato was excellent. We were told the other gelato flavor was caramel but it was espresso flavored. Clearly some highlights but all in all, a bit of a wash. I’m sorry to say that the food at Felix in Venice blew this meal out of the water. I’m not particularly inclined to go back, despite otherwise being a fan of Chef Joe!
Service was very perfunctory
We had a fabulous time at Osteria Mozza celebrating a family reunion. The food was wonderful! We definitely plan to come back soon.

Osteria Mozza was a great restaurant. I dont really have to many complaints just one the steak I got was rare very very rare, I love meat and I usually get it medium rare but the steak I got was so rare it was basically raw, it was almost as if it was put on for a matter of 1 minute each just to get the color on the outside and then put on the plate. Other than that I don’t have any complaints all the food was pretty good and our server was very kind.
Have been here before this time was very disappointed. So noisy. Maybe what we ordered was wrong. Kale salad good but really really salty. Softshell crab over powered with cumin. We ordered 3 different pastas - all just fair. Republique much better. Ordered a side of mushrooms - inedible. Just a giant salt lick. So disappointed.
I know high end restaurants are expensive and this is definitely expensive. Enjoyed the service and all the food - Great for special occasion.

Way too much garlic in pasta. Peppers were burned but they call it blistered. I have to say that we didn’t eat them but were not charged. Fish was ok and desserts were very good. Not the experience we expected based on reviews
Had a 15 minute wait before being seated with a 9pm reservation. They made up for this by bringing an appetizer to the table which was nice. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and friendly. The Caesar salad was over lemoned but still good and interesting and then radicchio salad was good but heavy on the dressing as well. The waiters were over-pouring the wine so that we would have to buy another bottle which I found rude - there is no reason the bottle should have been empty with double poured glasses among three people who weren’t guzzling before the appetizers were finished. The duck was salty and needed to be sent back. The Bolognese and the rabbit ragu were both fine but nothing to write home about. The busser dropped food on my father’s white shirt which was frustrating but they made up for by crediting us. Might come back but not the top on my list at all.
It is a nice upscale restaurant to take your family, friends or business associates to. It has a great service team and certain unique and delectable dishes in their menu. What I found challenging were two things
A) some of the dishes have salt levels which are off the charts. I thought I was the only one who had the issue but when I checked around the table, the entire family was giving the same feedback. I also saw similar responses in the reviews earlier
B) the value for money compared to portion sizes + flavor are mismatched for some of the dishes more specifically in the main course section. I found my duck dish to be very mediocre in terms of flavor. Even the skin was not truly crisped making it feel damp & mushy even before the squeezing of the lemon!

We ordered four pasta dishes. One was so al dented as to be chewy. Red sauce could have been from a bottle. Two other pastas had a filling with what tasted like scrambled eggs when it had been described as light fluffy ricotta with sweet corn. Two of our four person party could not eat their minuscule sized dinners as they were awful. Left hungry for $300. Don’t go.
Avoid the valet parking... Waited in line to park for about 10 minutes on arrival (only 2 cars ahead), and waited about 20 minutes to get the car when leaving. Kind of ridiculous when paying $15 to valet park, plus tip.
Great food but waiters extremely busy and we had to wait 20min just to order drinks and then were told to order to food at once as it takes time yet we barely finished starters as all main dishes arrived.
I am sure it was an off night but I expected better from Osteria Mozza. Our server forgot a side dish that I ordered and we were stuffed in a small table against a column. There wasn't enough room on the table for the food. My head bumped against a plate that another server was bringing to another table. The restaurant was loud and not comfortable. The mozzarella was just average. For 4 people and a $650 tab, I expected more.
There is no comparison to Eataly. Osteria Mozza feels like being and eating anywhere in Italy.
The evening was wonderful, the service was first rate and the food was exceptional except for my duck confit. The problem with the confit is that although the meat was extremely flavorful, it was rather crudely presented (half a duck on plate with a lemon wedge and two little dishes on the side: one with sweet corn and the other with this spicy pear jam), and was badly composed. The meat cried for acidity and there was non to be found. Also trying to separate out the meet from the bones was rather crude and inelegant. My friend though loved her sea trout, the caesar salad, the raviolo and the mozzarella were all wonderful and the wine was fantastic.
Tastes quite authentic like the restaurants in Italy. 环境挺好，中国胃就可以别去了

Loved the food, decor, and the waitress was terrific. Do not remember her name but she grew up in Carmel CA. Every dish she recommended was on point. Everyone was so friendly, as well. We will be back

Osteria Mozza used to be my favourite in LA but sadly the duck confit was way too salty and the pasta were nothing special anymore
I love Osteria Mozza. Some of the best pasta I have ever tasted. The portions are perfect, but the noise level, man, it’s LOUD in there. They could seriously benefit from some dampening decor.
This restaurant delivers on every aspect one could hope for. The server is incredibly dedicated to giving you the best culinary experience, and the food is delicious without being pretentious. The ingredients are so fresh and so simple that it somehow manages to be unlike anything you will ever taste. Cannot recommend this spot more for incredible Italian food in a beautiful restaurant atmosphere.

Misusing the term 'Osteria' which in italian means 'Guest House'
I thought they would serve a sofisticated version of the beloved traditional italian cucina povera: beautiful produce, simple, handled with care, healthy, lively, colorful.
Instead what we one gets is a ruccola salad clogged with a heavy green sauce, a way overcooked pasta swimming in a melted butter pond. The taggliatelle with ragu were not bad, the fennel salad was ok. The wine list is very comprehensive. The service was also good. Another thing is that the same owner runs a pizzeria next door that's connected through a door to the dinning room and people cross from one business to the other (maybe the sole Osteria element in the house) suddenly poping in the dining area which made the whole experience very uncomfortable, as in somebody running from a fire nextdoor...

It's a very pleasant place and I wish I could rate it more highly. But, although the pasta dishes were exceptional, the meat dishes were merely okay. And, although our server was extremely nice and helpful when he was present, he'd disappear for long stretches and prove almost impossible to flag down if we needed something.
My biggest issue, though, was with the time it all took. Three courses for three people should not take over three hours to be served. I like having time to relax and chat during a meal, but this was ridiculous.
I'm a great fan of both Pizzaria Mozza and Chi Spacca, though. So, perhaps this was just an off night.
Service was incredible, the yellow tail collar was a very good dish, so glad the server recommended it. Everything was perfect!
