At the edge of the CBD, in the spectacular 22-hectare waterfront precinct where an old container terminal once stood, discerning foodies can now find some of the city’s best sushi in Barangaroo. Established in 2016, the newest addition to the Zushi restaurant empire is in Sydney’s impressive new harbour foreshore playground. Zushi Barangaroo is both stylish and comfortable, capturing the relaxed style of a typical Japanese bar or izakaya designed by the renowned architect Koichi Takada. We offer premium service complimented with a wide selection of imported beers, Japanese inspired cocktails, and Japanese sake and whisky.
Zushi prides itself on using only carefully sourced local ingredients; the freshest vegetables and sustainable seafood where possible and most of the menu is gluten-free. We are open every day for lunch and dinner, serving delectable sushi, sashimi and share plates. And the glorious harbour views are pretty tasty too.

    Had my baby shower lunch at Zushi on the weekend for 20 people and couldn’t commend them enough. The food was amazing and fresh as always, the service was fantastic - they were constantly walking around refilling drinks, bringing out food and asking if we needed anything, everyone left full and happy and even those who aren’t fans of Japanese food were impressed. They also catered for 2 pregnant ladies, a gluten free, and had a kids menu which we all appreciated. From when I made the booking until when we left, the Zushi team did a great job like always. Thank you so much !

    Zushi has been a favourite of ours for many years. Yesterday we did notice the menu was missing a few of our go to dishes. The sashimi taco was a little disappointing as the avocado was brown but we enjoyed our group lunch date .

    The food was delicious but the service was very average. When I asked if I could take away the rest of the food the waiter agreed and confirmed what dishes were to be taken home, but when I asked where it was he said he had thrown it out due to a misunderstanding…

    Hi Georgia, We use chicken thigh (not breast) so the meat is darker as it is closer to the bone. We hope that helps answer that as our produce is most definitely fresh! We receive all our produce fresh daily from our suppliers so rest assured we would never sell anything that wasn't fresh and up to food safety standards.     I had been Zushi Barangaroo once before, about 2 months ago. I belong to a lunch group of 4 which was formed about 6 years ago and we meet 3 -4 times a year. It was my turn to choose a restaurant and I'm pleased to say my 3 friends were very pleased with the selection.
