    Follow us underground and prepare for a night to remember! This is your ticket to our late-night party, dance floor and it includes a glass of champagne on arrival. Superstar DJ DNE will get the party started in style and there will be plenty of live entertainment. Dance the night away, with electrifying energy from Melbourne's most-loved DJ. Enjoy a late-night snack from our Supper menu, which will also be available. And when the clock strikes midnight, brace yourself for the spectacular. Entry is available from 10.30pm and tickets are $50 per person, including your welcome drink. *Venue will close at 1:30am *Booking does not secure a table, this is a standing event.     I had high hopes for Yugen from everything I'd seen and heard from others, but sadly it did not live up to it. I was impressed with their extensive vegan menu, the wonderful staff and ambience, but disappointed with the food I received. I need the red pumpkin curry with spring onion pancake, only to receive what I believe was Chinese doughnuts that was over-fried with parsley (not coriander) on top, which didn't go with the curry at all. I had to order a bowl of rice. The curry itself was fine but not as good as your average Thai restaurant. The crispy eggplant was supposed to come with garlic soy and chilli sauce according to the menu but instead it was sweet chilli sauce. I would've appreciated if staff had advised me of the changes before serving the food. My friend really enjoyed her sashimi.

    Food is outstanding and serves are generous. Baked whole barramundi with chilli sauce is a must have dish. How they get all the bones out while leaving the entire fish intact is beyond comprehension . What a skill. Negroni with a twist ( plum I think) - beautiful Finally, the service… exemplary

    Really lovely, we shared food amongst table of 4, service staff were attentive and knowledgeable-assisted with wine and ordering quantities. Super luxe Japanese food. My favourite was chicken skewers, salad, eggplant, duck and rockling-king fish was lovely also. Would recommend.

    Offer bookings as late as 11:15pm only to have managers telling you they’re closed at 12:20am, even though the closing time displayed on website and google is 1am. Worker came to us with an eftpos machine in the midst of us EATING. Very poor service, misleading booking times and did not let us dine for the 2 hour booking period.

    Incredible venue with exquisite details. The food was delicious. Great portions too. On the slightly more expensive side for certain dishes but totally compensated by flavour. Staff were attentive and extremely accomodating. Very eager to revisit and experience all over again. Honestly wonderful and lives up to the hype.

    We had a very special evening at Yugen Dining for my birthday. Having dined at Yugen Teahouse earlier this year and loving it, returning for dinner was always on the cards and I'm glad I chose my birthday for the occasion. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and warm from the moment we were greeted at the door and accompanied to the lift, till when we departed. The best word to describe the interior is luxe! Very swank. The attention to detail and deliciousness of the plum negroni set the scene for what was to come with the food. Our same party of 4 chose the oysters, prawn toast, chicken meatball plus betel leaf skewers, the barramundi, lamb ribs, two different types of fried rice, the eggplant, the silken tofu, and the chocolate, plus passionfruit desserts. There was also a baby tart provided gratis for the birthday girl! Everything was delicious. For a seasoned foodie, there was lots of textural experiences and unusual flavour combinations to keep things interesting as well. Being a savoury fan, I'm not usually that enthusiastic about dessert, however that changed, firstly with the spectacle of the presentation, and then by the taste! Absolutely delightful! Would love a return visit and would highly recommend to others for a truly special destination dining experience.

    Yugen was amazing. Venue was stunning and the service was absolutely impeccable. Our table was looked after by Jo, and she was very nice and always looked after our needs. I mentioned to her that I had some dietary requirements and she made sure that the food met the requirement.

    by far the best Asian cuisine restaurant I have been to, everything on the menu was perfect. Nothing to complain in terms of food. Service was great, very attentive staff. Our only con was that the staff never really cleaned our table during service, they had spilt some water on our table and never cleaned it up. When you’re paying $150pp, you’d expect staff to clean the water off the table.

    Decor was lovely, great looking place. Food was tasty, but not unusual or special enough to warrant the price tag. Service was attentive, but felt like they were rushing us. Food came out so fast and so close together that the entire meal - three courses was over (Inc. eating) in under an hour. Which is fine if you’re paying for a quick bite etc., but for $200+ you expect to be able to sit and enjoy a little more.

    Had a 20:30 reservation, told to move to the side as they needed to seat people before us and we waited an additional 20 minutes. The aircon was pumping to the point that we were extremely uncomfortable. The food was below average and covered in oil. Felt like it was deep fried from the frozen food section and extremely overpriced. Bill came to $400 for 2 people. Bar look beautiful but other than that, not worth it and don’t intend on ever going back.

    A very pleasant evening with great, friendly service from knowledgeable staff. Sat in the high seating which was comfortable enough though the lighting was so poor that ourselves and adjacent diners were using phone torches to read the menu so that kind of sucked. Otherwise a great meal and a lovely evening.

    During my recent visit to Yugen Dining, I was impressed with the venue's beautiful aesthetic and the exceptional service provided by the staff. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. Despite the stunning presentation, the taste and texture of the dishes fell short of my expectations. The duck dish left much to be desired. It was overcooked and chewy, which was disappointing. Additionally, the side dishes served alongside it were mix matched and did not compliment each other at all. We passed on our feedback to our waiter who then advised she would inform the chefs. While the overall experience was enjoyable, the subpar quality of the food left me feeling underwhelmed.
