   Overall, it was decent. We had a reservation for 4, but were seated in the chilly, bar area upstairs (should have requested downstairs). The crispy brussel sprouts were amazing, but the spinach-artichoke dip had more cream cheese (?) than spinach. The sauce that came on the pulled pork sandwich was super spicy and the chocolate/peanut butter pie for dessert was good, but really small. The service was ok, but the 90’s music (which I love) was loud. We did get to watch some of the Sweet 16 Basketball Tournament, which was nice, but otherwise…probably won’t be going back. Sorry!

   prime brisket - serving not enough to warrant $20 price. Food was a little more than room temperature, meat was dry. Mac/Cheese again was barley warm. The atmosphere was nice and staff friendly. Probably would not go back.

   We had a marvelous time! The food for most of us was great, although my vegetarian husband was disappointed in the Mac & cheese (nothing to write home about, he said). The rest of us carnivores were quite happy! The addition of the McTeggart Irish Dancers made the evening particularly special! I was quite impressed that someone actually read my email (via Open Table) and responded graciously to our requests. When we arrived, the staff were even more accommodating! Our thanks to everyone!

   This is a tavern style ambiance. The menu has some excellent choices, favoring bbq beef and pork. It sounds strange to say, but the seasoned French fries are incredible! 3 of us had brisket sandwiches at the recommendation of our server. They did not disappoint. Our group was celebrating birthdays and they made it special for us. Excellent experience.

   Felt like we were sitting in someone’s garage or on a train station. Freezing cold, in a grubby dark corner with plastic windows that couldn’t be closed properly so everyone had to keep their coats on throughout dinner. This was Moms’ Weekend and a special evening out with our daughters. I had contacted the restaurant in advance to request their best table and position and they could have told me then where we were going to be seated, not in the main dining room where there was the atmosphere and vibe we were hoping for. Won’t ever take a large group there again. Food was good and great service by Ellie. Thanks

    We were seated next to a sliding glass door . It was freezing. We requested to move to another table but we’re denied despite two open tables next to us that remained open the entirety of our meal. My Moscow mule order was not placed. When it was finally brought to the table it could have passed for a margarita it had so much lime in it. Couldn’t taste the ginger. The ribs were overcooked. Sadly this establishment has declined. The BBQ used to be so good

    Very good. Had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Very big and not dry. Had a side of macaroni and cheese which was very filling. Overall a good place in a nice part of town.

    I have never been to the West End Tavern, and was delightfully surprised. The food was excellent and the service was great. l had the brisket and it was superb, as was my husband's Fish and Chips. The Hungry Toad has been our "go to" quick restaurant, but they changed the menu so we decided to try something new. I think that West End will be our new "go to" restaurant! Thanks for the great meal and service!

    From a supper on a friday night, Dining on Main floor better than upstairs which is basically a sports bar. Service was poor, inattentive. Food was "ok". Very noisy upstairs, difficult to carry on a conversation. Lots of better places to meet and eat in Boulder.

    Stopped by for Happy Hour on a Friday afternoon after shopping on Pearl Street. Had a decent Cosmo and crispy Brussels sprouts from the Happy Hour menu. Added fish & chips and burnt ends to make it a meal. Food was very good and well portioned (we had sprouts and fries left to take home). Place was busy and a bit noisy, but a good value on the west end of Pearl.

    We have eaten here a few times and it's pretty much always the same: very good food (pub-like, but with a twist) but not great service. It doesn't stop us from going there, so not sure that's really any incentive for their servers to be better trained................Prices are decent, but it can get a little loud in there so keep that in mind when bringing people (not great for intimate conversation.)

    We felt like we were in the kitchen not a tavern. Avoid the back section on the first floor. The back door was open and very drafty and cold. We all wore our coats through dinner. Food was good not great.

    Very mediocre food..dry and a bit flavorless. Had the jalapeño burger, bbq pork sandwich and fish sticks. Daughter liked the fish sticks so w shave them an extra star. Waiter was great! But overall service was a little slow. Old fashioned was good. Front desk, less than happy to be working. Not a great spot and confused on the high ratings it does have.

    We ordered a couple of drinks, corn ribs, a beef brisket plate and a half slab of ribs. The beverages could have been better. The corn ribs had good flavor, but they were not the easiest to eat. The brisket was slightly above average, although it needed a lot of barbecue sauce to make it taste good. The ribs were the same quality as the brisket. The cornbread muffins were the best, a proper southern kind of savory. Overall, the food was decent, but it was overpriced and nothing to write home about. The service was unfortunately very disappointing. While there were plenty of tables available, we were given a table on the 2nd floor that received a strong draft of cold air from outside, was in the middle of foot traffic from and to the 1st floor, and next to floors that shook every time people walked past our table, which happened every 15 seconds. Despite being right in the middle of foot traffic, our server did not have any interest in actually serving us. He took our drink and starter orders and brought our drinks to our table very quickly. The corn ribs were served to us by somebody else quickly as well. It was a decent start. But then our server, who was standing and talking to his coworkers for 10 minutes, never bothered to take our main course orders. Somebody else, a 3rd person, noticed, so she took our orders. A 4th person served us our plates, but she didn't ask if we want more to drink. A 5th person took our empty glasses but also didn't bother to ask if we wanted more to drink or water refills. After we finished, we sat there for 10 extra minutes before our server finally came back to ask if we were done and then took our plates... again, not asking if we wanted more to drink. We sat there for another 5 minutes before a 6th person asked us if we wanted the check. A 7th person brought our check to our table, took it back and then processed our payment. Our server, who was 10 feet from us, didn't acknowledge us as we left.

    Cold unexpected outdoor seating. There was no indication when making our reservation that we would be sitting outside on a top deck area with a good breeze. We were cold and uncomfortable. There were no indoor tables and we needed to eat.

    Great bbq and bar food. Nice atmosphere although we were the table closet to the prep kitchen, I think there is a rooftop I'm sure it's nice up there and the bar area is cozy. Servers were attentive and fun.

    The West End Tavern is a fine, but not great place. I had pulled pork and it was nicely cooked and prepared but I didn’t like the selection of BBQ sauces. My friend had the fish and chips and liked it a lot. The fries are amazing as is the cole slaw. I would have rated this a 4 except for the BBQ sauce and it took 15 minutes or more for someone to wait on us. Service was fine after that. Don’t order the Malbec. It’s not good.
