Has a very nice dinner. I had monk fish and friend had tuna. I really miss Waterzooi in Port Washington but the Garden City one is still great

Waterzooi is always fabulous! I go for the mussels and tried Calabrian for the first time. I was not disappointed. We had two kids under 9 with us and they had great meals for them, too! It was lunchtime, so some business lunches going on, but we didn't have to worry about the kids being too loud.

The service and food were excellent. Our drink and dinner orders were prepared properly. Our server, Syrah R and the whole team lived up to Waterzooi's high standards. We frequently dine at Waterzooi and chose this restaurant to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary. We were seated on the patio as we requested. This addressed our one complaint with the venue which is the noise level. Even though we were seated on the patio the noise from the restaurant was so high we had the raise our voices to hear each other. That said we will certainly return. It appeared that the restaurant was not aware of the requests we made on Open Table but fortunately was able to accommodate them.

Hostess was waiting will a smile and showed us to our table water, menus and explanation of the specials . Of course ordered the mussel pots a couple variations the Steak Frites and the salmon. All vey flavorful and brought to the table in a no rush atmosphere. Also enjoy a couple Belgium style beers from the tap that were perfect. Another Happy evening .. Food was very good. This is a fairly large restaurant and on this Friday evening they blocked off a portion. Subsequently we were seated on the aisle. Really not good but in all fairness they did ask us if we wanted to sit in the patio which we thought would be too cool. It was a little too loud but it is like that in most restaurants today.
