   The dining experience was absolutely amazing. The service was great and the food was outstanding. My favorite dish was the Chefs Cut, which was Ribeye the night we dined. The portions were plentiful and we had a good amount of leftovers to take home. I would highly recommend for a nice date night or special occasion.

   I really enjoy going here for Sunday brunch. The ambience is great to kickstart my week. It can be tricky to get a reservation at times, but I’ve just started to plan for my brunch days a week in advance. While this is frustrating because I’ve been there several times and the restaurant was empty, I enjoy their dishes. Yet, the service is so hit and miss, which at times, has made me really not want to make the reservation. There are times I’ve gone into the restaurant and waited 10+ minutes just for water. Or, the servers just seem to be really upset. To be clear, the restaurant is not that large in size—which allows for a nice intimate setting. But the servers seem to consistently be overwhelmed in ways I could never truly understand. I wish to mention I’ve spent several years in the service industry as well, but I do think it’s important to extend grace. There needs to be more training on the server front. I don’t think of myself as a needy table, but it can get frustrating at times to wait for the basics. I really enjoy the food, light music, and even the overall restaurant set up. I will certainly return, but I do wish they had better service.

   This restaurant never disappoints.First time for brunch and the experience EXCEEDED expectations! Everything was exquisite. Flavors, presentation, quality,and portions were all spot on. By far one of the best restaurants in Baltimore.

   We had an amazing experience, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was absolutely the best, with Chef preparing as we watched. The staff was friendly and attentive. Their philosophy, "we do not sell food, we sell a dining experience". Well said, and they made good on that promise. Thank you all!

   The Food and staff were amazing. I highly recommend. We went for the Winter Prefix. This place delivers. No skimping on anything. They had to roll us out we were so full.

    Parking for this place is a nightmare. You have to park at least 2-3blocks away. Very small inside and food is subpar. The cornbread is a choking hazard. Bone dry.

    Went here for the first time to celebrate the birthday of my better half, along with her daughter. From the moment we walked in the door, they welcomed us into their space and made us feel at home. The waiter was extremely attentive and friendly in everything related to our experience and more. Every course was incredible and we had enough extra to bring home to enjoy the next day as well. Every dish was made with the utmost care and the flavors were truly unique. We can't wait to go back there again and looking forward to walking there in the warmer weather.

    So, the food was tasteful... The steak & brussel sprouts with bacon was delish! Some things I'd suggest to the chef would be to give customers another cheese option for eggs instead of Parmesan cheese. Add cheese inside of the spinach dip. It actually tasted like cream spinach with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. Have other steak sauces available like A1 or Heinz 57 for customers ordering the ribeye outside of the chimichurri sauce.

    My first time dining at WFC and it was a 5 star experience. From the host, decor and the food. The Chef is humble and gracious. I was not a fan of duck until now!

    The place is small one server one chef. So plan to wait. We had to sit in the corner bench while waiting for our other guests. We already had a credit card on file so it was off putting. The brunch menu was limited but decent. Appetizers came after entree drink after food. Not bad not amazing

    Water for Chocolate is a unique experience-- a chill atmosphere with stellar artwork and great music adds flair to dishes so skillfully crafted by Chef Sean -- a fusion of southern comfort, sexy vegetables, surprise flavors and unique touches creates that "O. (pause) M. (pause) G. (scream!) moment. The vibe, the portions, the flavors -- all are generous and joyful.

    The best!!! They got it right! Sadè was playing in the background all night! The food was amazing, flavorful, and so comforting. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about every item & attentive to every need we had. 5 stars isn’t enough! We will be back for the brunch! Thank you for making a welcoming space for everyone.

    Lovely small restaurant, good food. Perfect "date spot." For brunch we had the duck poutine, French toast, Parmesan-spinach dip--all excellent. The crab quesadillas sounded wonderful, but really needed a crisp outer shell to make it memorable.

    The menu is a foodie delight. My favorite dishes are: Shrimp and Grits, the Salmon Tacos and topped off with a French 75. This is my go-to brunch place.

    Water For Chocolate was really good. Very nice quaint place to go and just enjoy the smells of the preparation of your meal in the open kitchen that feels like it's a part of the dining area. The food was really good. I tried both versions of the shrimp and grits and the dope juice was a great compliment to wash it down.

    Chef got upset because I asked for fresh grits. They were cold hard and I could pick up the entire mold of grits from my plate with the fork Dry, stiff, cold. Cornbread was cold but the only thing I could eat when it didn't crumble off the fork. That was okay. I didn't take photos because presentation was not worth the space on my phone. I thought chef was going to make me a new plate of fresh creamy grits. Instead he told the waiter to take the order off the check. He came and took my plate off the table himself. He was not pleasant and didn't try to redeem himself. 2 other people sent their food back and they didn't order the BBQ shrimp n grits. My brother ate 1/3 of his omlette. The potatoes that came with his order were smashed and they were a mixture of baby red, Yukon gold and purple potatoes. I knew what it was but my brother didn't.

    It's a fairly small space with an equally small staff, yet you never wait too long to get seated or for your food to arrive. Each dish is plated with care - I almost hated to disrupt the tower of veggies piled atop the sweet potato polenta - to really give it that elevated soul food vibe. I only wish it was easier to park in the area - if not for lucking into a spot out front, our options were to walk from blocks away where you still have to deal with residential permit zones.

    Met a high school classmate here. Perfect place to catch up over great food. Service was top tier. We didn’t feel rushed. Each plate looked beautiful and tasted delicious. Will definitely return.

    My husband, son and I dined here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were excited to try this place after reading the reviews. All was well with the first two courses. For my main entree, I ordered the chipotle maple salmon with cilantro rice which sounded like such a nice combination of flavors. When it arrived the salmon had what seemed like a barbecue sauce on it but it did not taste like Chipotle or maple but whatever...I let that go. However I noticed that it was served with plain white rice, not Cilantro rice despite how it was described on the menu. I figured it was an oversight so I called the waiter over thinking maybe he could just bring some cilantro to the table. He said, Oh, I’m sorry that happened” but didn’t offer to make it right in any way. He could have brought some cilantro or provided a choice for a replacement side dish but he did not. He then walked away so quickly that I didn’t even have a chance to ask him for one. I understand that mishaps are bound to occur in any restaurant but I also believe that it’s in the restaurant’s responsibility to to find a way to make up for them in every way possible. In this case, that did not happen at all. Also, in my reservation I specified that we were celebrating a birthday but there was no acknowledgement of this at all. Overall, the food was good but I wouldn’t say that it was amazing.

    We went for brunch and were excited to try out a new place for us. The smells that come out of the kitchen were fantastic- so we were expecting very flavorful food. We were all disappointed in what we ordered. Three of us ordered steak and eggs and none of our steaks were cooked properly and were very fatty and bland. The other two ordered the BBQ shrimp and parmesan grits w/jalapeno cornbread and the shrimp was overcooked and there was sausage on top which was not mentioned. The only things we actually enjoyed were the Chicken dumplings with ponzu sauce & the Parmesan spinach dip w/toasted focaccia. The service was slow to say the least. We ordered everything at once so that our waiter would not have to come back again- since he was not terribly attentive. He knew we wanted the appetizers first yet everything was brought out at once- the tables were so incredibly small that there is just not enough room for that to occur- yet he placed things down essentially on top of other things. We were so sad that the experience was not what we expected at all.
