   The food was delicious and our servers were efficient and friendly. Very down to earth place. Just a bit off the beaten path, this was a nice break from the chaos and “ scene” of South Beach.

   Fantastic food and service. Truly Authentic. Amazing meal for the price in Miami. Is not a fancy restaurant but the food was amazing and the service was great. Is a little of the beaten path but well worth the visit. We have eaten in a lot of higher priced, fancier restaurants in Miami but I would put Via Emelia 9 at the top.

    This is a neighborhood gem that is locally owned and can be counted on to have an interesting menu, tempting specials (this was the end of Truffle Month) and a table when you need it. We are sorry that the city made them reduce the number of outside tables, but there are still some two-tops and four-tops, as well as an expanded indoor space. This week four of us had the beef cheeks (!) special, the tagliatelle with prosciutto, the octopus tempers with stracciatella (the creamy inside of burrata), grilled langoustines, fennel salad (such delicate shavings!), and pasta with truffles grated in front of you to your liking and pocketbook. Lovely time!

    One of my most favorite restaurants. So much more authentic than the sea of "fake Italians." Lovely staff, delicious food and good wine. I go regularly and all my family and friends love Via Emilia 9 also.

    I’m Italian, and unfortunately for them I know how Italian food is suppose to be. I ordered a gnocco fritto, which even look closer to how it’s suppose to be. As a dessert I ordered a tenerina, but I got an no homemade chocolate muffin with mascarpone on the side. I’m from Bologna, so I do know how a tenerina tastes like. I had huge expectations as a lady from Italy I met on my walk, she deeply suggested (almost bagged) me to try this restaurant if I was truly missing a piadina or gnocco fritto. Very disappointing!

    I made reservations very early in the month of December to be able to get a good table to celebrate the New Year's Eve. However, when we got to the restaurant we had to wait 30 minutes because "our table" was occupied by other guests, and once we were seated we realized we were right in front of the restrooms! We ordered our usuals: Melanzzane and Tagliatelli con carciofi and limone, but they were not as good as usual: the melanzanne's sauce was acid, and the limone sauce for the pasta was a soup! Additionally the pasta was not al dente, it was overcooked. The ambiance was very loud, and we had to endure the passing of many people going to the bathroom. I also noticed that the menu states a certain price on the dishes offered, but on the receipt you add a few extra dollars. The experience in general was subpar.

    A disappointing evening. The portions of pasta were small. The buffalo mozzarella was not creamy, and the branzino was strangely tasteless. Would not go again.

    Very disappointed in that location as it was recommended. Service was extremely ‘rushy’, cafeteria style. On a friday, I want a nice dinning experience in a restaurant like this. Got pressure to order very quickly, we got our appetizer in less an 1 minute, basically meaning the were ‘ready in the fridge’..then pressure to order the main meal quickly. Got our pasta again in a few minutes, lasagna possibly just microwaved. Our server had an attitude all night, making it not enjoyable. Not what I call a dining experience for a date or get together with friends on a weekend. Our food was ok at best. On the positive, the restaurant is nicely maintained, clean, well located but I hate to be rush on weekend dinner, I won’t go back.

    The food is really good and I prefer it like they did it this year, with no set menu like in the past. What it left space for improvement, was the additional dining room located next to the restaurant that felt empty and no ambiance and we were not informed that our table was located in a separate room - almost empty.

    Went back two nights in a row for the meatballs and peas...the octopus was excellent (although the potatoes could have been warmer)...sausage and pasta was superb. Would absolutely go here without hesitation, but because it's always full the service can be a bit slow but tolerable.

    From the moment we walked in the front door, the wonderful hostess, the amazing smells emanating from the kitchen, to our server, as well as the vast choices of fresh made pasta, sauces, truffles, incredible wines by the glass, we are definitely coming back again.

    Consistently great clean dishes. Loves the salmon special, not what I usually order but must say it was Perfectly prepared done to the charred crispy skin 😋. The cavatelli pasta with pumpkin and bolognese sauce is consistently good - fresh pasta makes al the difference .

    Appetizers were great. Service was awful. Maybe because there were so few people in restaurant the staff got super lazy. Only 5 slices of bread served to a table of 6. Had to ask for more. Had to ask for water twice. Had to ask for another bottle of wine because they paid no attention to the table. Was never asked how was my dinner (the lasagna was barely warm, for 3 of us. ). The filets were delicious, the deserts were good. Service was not.

    Very cute little spot outside of usual touristy areas. I really have been dying to try this place for while, it looks so authentic and cute. I came with my dad so we came early, 6pm on a Saturday, but the place was dead even when we left around 7. The food was truly disappointing. Some very basic boring bread came cut up in a paper bag ahead of the meal. A vegetarian, I got the truffle pasta and it was basically noodles in butter sauce with some shave truffle on top. The shaved truffle was exciting as she grated a half a truffle on my plate at the table but it didn’t improve the flavor of the dish at all. Very simple and bland, and cold as well. She took it back to reheat but it got cold again right away, maybe those noodles don’t hold heat. My dad got the chicken and he enjoyed it. The potatoes were the highlight of the meal, I would order a side of those any time. Sadly I would not recommend or come back here, but maybe it’s more of a carnivore type place. Perhaps the meat and seafood are amazing so look to other reviews for that.

    fillet mignon on Miami spice is spectacular. also artechoke salad was delicious. The portions seem larger than before, so I think I’ll retuirn more often (the portions previously got so small I stopped going.)

    Lasagna tasted like hamburger helper. The server spilled red wine all over us — my boyfriend was wearing a white shirt. Instead of comping our meal or wine after ruining our evening, she only offered a $10 discount. That won’t even cover drycleaning! Never again.
