Food was good
Service was slow-had to ask for things more than once. No one approached our table. After 20 minutes i had to catch someones eye so we could have initial greeting.
It was very noisy. I was surprised how many children were there
My girlfriend Dawn was interested in having a party at UVA for her parents wedding anniversary. We were told that we would receive a phone call regarding details. Nobody called
The only thing they can improve is desserts. It’s really not that good for this level of the restaurant

Arrived for a 7:30 reservation, were seated about 8:30. Staff was friendly, but it's slightly annoying to wait and hour to be seated with a reservation. To add, via Open Table the restaurant was showing availability all evening. Food was great as was the service - just annoyed on the wait

fabulous dinner....great wait staff...Shawn and Shawn were the best....just be aware that this is a BYOB.....it is not listed as such but I found out by reading reviews......Can't wait to go back
The restaurant was a little cold. It was very busy. Our server was not attentive.

The Chilean Seabass special was amazing! Ambiance was great for everyday dining or date nights. A little loud if looking for a quiet date night though, but no problem for most occasions.
We would prefer not to constantly be referred to as"You guys." We left high school 67 years ago.
Many restaurants train their staff to avoid this. It really demeans UVA.
Otherwise we like UVA and go there often.

Reserved a table for six. Experience exceeded expectations. Terrific, friendly service, excellent, well presented food in a most pleasant atmosphere. First rate.
I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and upscale decor. Mark is a friendly, attentive server. After he describes each special and answers questions, it is difficult to decide which delectable dish to choose. You really can't choose incorrectly since everything is delicious. I had crab bisque which was rich and had just the right amount of crab in it. My entree was the Zabaglione salad. It came with mixed greens, pears, candied walnuts, cranberries, goat cheese and Zabaglione dressing. It was fabulous and filling. Don't miss the chance try this restaurant.

This is not my first time at UVA and it won’t be my last. I’ve been for dinner with friends, had our salon party there last year and just recently went for my friends birthday. I have yet to have a bad meal. The food is excellent quality, freshly prepared and has delicious flavor. Their servers are pleasant, informative and prompt. The fact that it is a BYOB is a bonus.
I highly recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.
We were a party of 6, and all of us enjoyed our lunch entrees. From the veal parm & fish selections, to the pasta and salads, everything was delicious including the fresh Italian bread. Besides the food being excellent, the service was just as great, our waiter was excellent! Can't go wrong eating at UVA!
I dined with 3 friends and we all ordered the prixe fixe menu.
Smaller portion s offered for 4 courses, 25.00.. It was good, nor a big offering,but it was worth 25.00.
Yes, I would come agian and order regular menu. Pasta Fagule was very good as was the salmon

We received a very friendly greeting by the hostess when we arrived. The decor was stylish with unique lighting features. The food was outstanding- particularly the Veal Valentino. The Clams Casino appetizer was also very good as was the Sea Bass special. The service started out well, but things fell down after our entrees arrived. No one checked back after our entrees were served and once our plates were cleared a very long time elapsed (I would estimate 20-30 minutes) before we were offered coffee/dessert. To make matters worse, we selected a dessert to share only to have them come back 5 minutes later again with the dessert tray with the one we selected removed advising that the last one of that dessert had been sold and would be like to select another. We declined. We had chosen to try this restaurant based their advertised offering for our OpenTable rewards redemption, unfortunately they seemed unfamiliar on how to process it which was quickly straightened out by us calling OpenTable for guidance but not before the wait staff announced it is "like a credit card and your balance is zero" in front of other diners. Only because the food was absolutely wonderful, I would go back again.

We were seated immediately on Friday evening by a very pleasant and professional young woman. Our waiter was pleasant and courteous. The food was great and our waiter was attentive. The only issue was the noise level and I know that just can't be helped. I think your menu selection is varied and I really appreciate that. We will certainly be returning to try some of your other dishes in the future. Thank you
We have been to Uva several times and always say that we should go more often. It is a great place.
Great food! Best Italian I've had in a while. BYOB is an added bonus. The staff was friendly and Knowledgeable of the menu, and the service was great. Will definitely be returning.
Fabrizio Costagliola was amazing! He is consistently wonderful and we always ask for him because he makes our experience the best ever. He is friendly, warm and very efficient and goes beyond! He is a gem and an asset to any place he is. We highly recommend him!

Great place. Unassuming from the outside but warm and friendly inside. Owner is a great guy. Food is awesome. Nice atmosphere. It’s one of or regular places to eat dinner.
We began our meal with wonderful soups - pasta faglioi and crab bisque. My husband had veal saltimboca. I had the grouper special with spinach and risotto. Both were excellent and the portions so generous that we had leftovers to bring home. The meal concluded with tiramisu, which we shared. An exceptional meal with impeccable service!
Food was good. Prices are a little higher than most restaurants in the area. Portions are a decent size. Restaurant is a little too crowded, squeezing in a lot of tables; thus the noise level is a little high. We ordered decaf coffee, which was served lukewarm at best. We requested fresh coffee, which was happily made for us. Ambiance is very nice.... love the eclectic design and feel of the place.
I reservaed a reservation on open table and drove 40 miniutes to find out that Uva was closed because of a electrical issue . I should have never been able to make a reservation on open table if the restaurant was closed
Everything was fantastic, from the service to the delicious food. It was a great night out.
This was our first time at Uva and it was a busy Saturday night. We loved the atmosphere and the variety of table sizes....a few larger parties mixed in with some 2's and some 4's. Extensive menu. Attentive staff. Great food. Would definitely recommend!
