   We took our nephew for brunch. It was the first time for all of us. Wonderful service and food. The atmosphere was lovely. We will be back.

   Ultreia never disappoints. Everything is fantastic. We particularly loved the stuffed, bacon-wrapped dates and Moorish style ribs. The special gin tonics were awesome too! We can't wait to return again :)

   I have not found octopus that I enjoy eating until I ate at Ultreia. It was tender, sweet, and delightful. Interacting with our server, Courtney, was such a lovely experience and when we go back, we will request her. The only thing I didn't enjoy was smelling like the kitchen when we left. It seemed as if the ventilation was not working properly. Overall, an excellent experience though.

    Good food and service. However, the restaurant is freezing in the winter. On 2 separate visits, the room was 10 degrees colder than the rest of the building so 4 of us kept our bulky coats on. The wait staff apologized for the temperature but stated they were unable to change it.

    The staff here was super-knowledgeable and friendly. Our sever was bold and confident in her recommendations and was engaging and responsive. Our water glasses were kept filled and the pacing of the dishes being delivered was wonderful. The food was a great representation of Iberian tapas, and though the menu is fairly small, it has diverse selections for every palate. The sommelier was on his game with Portuguese wine (as well as wine in general) and was also engaging, but not in that slightly pretentious way that some of them can be sometimes. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. The space is a little confined, but the food and staff more than make up for that.

    Overall great experience. Food was delicious and our server made great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The mushrooms with black garlic mousse was so perfect. Cocktails were tasty and generous.

    Food was very good. I was there for happy hour and definitely put it to good use. Only major problem is that you will go back home smelling like food all over. There’s no ventilation. I recommend it if the ventilation issue does not bother you.

    The room had a smoky haze and a very unpleasant smell of fried oil- as if the vents had not been cleaned or were not functioning. I wish I had brought a vacuum to clean the significant amount of crumbs off the chairs and cushion edges. The service was very nice, however. The food was very average, even the cheeseburger did not taste good as the meat was burnt.

    Several of the small plates were excellent. The large plate ribs were disappointing—excessively fatty, so-so flavor. But there were three bigger issues: food was very very slow to come out of the kitchen. We sat for at least 20 min between courses. There was an unpleasant cold draft at our table. And the restaurant was visibly smoky from the kitchen. When I left my eyes burned and my clothes smell like stale food smoke.

    The food is always excellent and our brunch was no exception. Ultreia is a small space especially when eating indoors. Our Sunday visit found the restaurant full and so it was noisy and hard to carry on a conversation. We also had a table for four in the corner of the restaurant and the HVAC was blowing cool air on us. It got a little chilly but it didn’t deter us from having a good time and enjoying our food.

    The food was good overall but the octopus was way over prized for the portion. Plus, it was somewhat chewy. The crispy pork shoulder was the winner. Followed by the mushrooms and patatas bravas. The pan con tomate was fair.

    Ultrea is such a sweet little restaurant tucked away in the NE corner of Union Station’s main hall. The menu is Spanish with delicious tapas. Happy hour is a great value in this very expensive downtown Denver restaurant scene. Owned by a James Beard Best Chef of the Southwest, Jennifer Jazinski never disappoints.

    First the food was great. No issues there. However, the fry oil and smells from the kitchen were overwhelming and took over and ruined the entire experience. The air stunk of it and was hazy with it (you could see the particles in the light beams), and we went home reeking.

    We opted for the Chefs tasting dinner, and it did not disappoint! It was A LOT of food for 2 people, but so incredibly flavorful. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food, cocktails and wine. To no fault of the servers or chefs and cooks, the kitchen's vent hoods did not seem to be able to keep up with the amount and type of food being cooked, so it did get a little smokey in the restaurant. The front of the house team tried to compensate by cracking the doors to the outside, but it's January in Denver, so that's not something that can happen for long.

    I love this restaurant. It’s a staple for me. Keep in mind that this restaurant gets very smoky in the kitchen and you will leave with a smoke smell in your hair and your eyes may feel it by the end of the night.

    Cold. I made a reservation and asked to be seated where it was warm. Put us in a corner with huge drafts cuz they kept the door to the patio open. Asked to be moved upstairs but said already reserved. Wont waste my time again. Bye bye!

    Food tastes amazing. Far too little of it. Yes, it's a tapas restaurant, but even the entrees were far too skimpy. We spent about 200 dollars for four adults but I had to make something to eat when I got home (and I only weigh 110 pounds). Why not ramp up the portions of bread for all diners, so diners can enjoy the tapas on the amazing bread as well as feel like they're getting some volume? A too-loud background noise level makes it hard to talk, and the air was quite smoky on the top level. Another issue is that of bathrooms, and this applies to all of the nice restaurants at Union Station. If you need to wash up or use the bathroom, it is a long walk to the bathroom and you'll then be jostling with others as though you're in an airport. Great bathrooms are actually part of the experience for me when I go to a creative restaurant, so this is a disappointment, although I know that I am more picky than most in that category.

    It was a nice experience i came for a solo dinner and got placed upstairs, it was great but doe the weather the doors were closed so all the smoke from the kitchen was going up so my eyes were suffering a little. Food was good i wished they kept the order menu so far the waiters were always attempted and cordial always helping. I am glad i got to enjoy my meal

    The ventilation was broken during our dining experience, and the smoke was intolerable. My eyes were burning from being so irritated, and I could not enjoy my meal. I am surprised that the manager and staff did absolutely nothing about the air flow with this mishap. Truly surprised that they could have at least gone to get fans, opened the doors, or even offer the possibility to guests to eat outside, where they had heaters.
