    Best Trummer’s experience ever! The food was incredible and the service was, too. Travis, the Assistant GM, always makes sure everything is absolutely incredible and perfect! When we get our rare opportunity to go out on a date night (and get a babysitter), this is our top pick.

    Everything was just fine however they had no relief for our waitress. She had the entire floor hence service was very slow. Not her fault but one can’t run 10 tables and expect to deliver top service.

    Trummers does not disappoint! My son brought me here for my birthday dinner. The food was delicious. The service was top notch and the ambience was welcoming and upscale. This is not our first or last time we will dine at Trummers.

    Terrible service!! Server was no where to be found majority of the time we were there. It was early and only 3 tables with people so it wasn’t like he was busy with other tables. We served ourselves water multiple times since he was inattentive. He never checked on how our food was to our liking.

    Very disappointed. We arrived at five and seated in the main dining room, while we waited…for anyone! The dining room had the pervasive smell of mildew (we all noticed the odor immediately). When we were finally approached and asked about the odor, the server or maybe a manager disavowed any hint of an odor. We were moved to the secondary dining room, with no ambiance. At some point one of the owners stopped at our table to ask about dinner. I asked her about the odor and she, too had no idea of any smell! WOW!

    Quite nice Thanksgiving meal. The food was delicious and plentiful. The top floor did lack ambiance, which is a shame, as the first floor is lovely.

    We made a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner and are so glad we did! Everything was the same for everyone, but we could choose the main entree among 4 options. We loved everything! I don't even like turkey normally, but this was moist and flavorful with amazing Gravy. JR was our waiter and was bust, but very attentive. Best decision was to go to Trummers and not cook at home.

    Tried the Thanksgiving menu. Ordered the turkey and whole branzino. Would have expected the fish skin to be crispy. The pretzel stuffing and mashed sweet potatoes were very good.

    Service was slow and not attentive with the exception of the wine/beer steward. We sat with empty dishes in front of us after each course and had to ask for our dinner dishes to be cleared. Three from our table ordered prime rib and after being served their entrees, had to flag down the server to ask for steak knives as well as the accompanying au jus sauce. Also had to ask for coffee and dessert menus. Food was overpriced and nothing special. For example, Boursin Cavatelli was some pasta with a thin sauce - little meat.

    We love Trummers but this last visit was below our expectations as the restaurant had several inexperienced servers on the floor. Food was good but now we are paying for bread ala carte was a bit of a surprise. He cornbread was excellent but it should have been a complimentary part of the meal.

    Had high expectations for Trummers. It was my first time there and my anniversary and not once did anyone mention it while we were there (made a reservation stating it was my anniversary). We sat and Colven greeted us immediately after. Asked what we wanted for drinks but didn’t take the time to discuss the menu, or ask if we’ve been there before. Made us feel like he was getting through our service as quickly as possible. The food came, and it was so so. Tartare was good and so was the cavatelli but everything else was meh especially for the price point. I asked if they did anything specially for anniversaries and Colven responded by saying “I mean yeah we write “happy anniversary” on the dessert of the day…. then i had to ASK him to bring that our for us and he said “um yeah sure”… All in all, our anniversary dinner was not as special as we’d had hoped and wish we stuck to our usual (trattoria) up the block.

    From starting at the bar, to finishing our dessert at our nice table in the main, spacious dining room, all of our expectations were exceeded! The wait staff and food were excellent. Definitely a great find and a new “go to” spot for us from now on!

    This whole experience was amazing. The food was excellent, it was a tad cold but I'm always cold so that's neither here nor there. I had a very nice time and we didn't mind the bill because it was worth every penny.

    We had a lovely evening. The food was amazing, and the ambiance was very nice. While the restaurant was crowded, the noise level was just right. Quiet enough we were able to converse over dinner. And our server was fantastic.

    One of the best meals that I have had this year. Trummers always delivers - one of the best restaurants in Northern Virginia and incredible food for its value. only slight negative is wine list is probably too overpriced. Big mark up on some bottles.

    For an 8pm reservation, we weren’t seated until 8:25p, negating the concept of even having a reservation. After seating it was another 10 minutes before staff came by to even ask about drinks. Clearly there were staffing and overall coordinating issues this night. For the price point, I was disappointed overall vs previous visits. Honor reservations properly and I will increase my rating.

    The food was absolutely delicious! Perfectly sized portions, not small at all but not huge either. The desserts were also incredible. Super flavorful and perfect for a special occasion. The service was also impeccable. PS the Titanic cocktail is phenomenal and super creative.

    I go to Trummers a few times a year. I want it to be good and as of two years ago, it was pretty damn good. For whatever reason, they changed to be an "american bistro" and the food went from really good to just bad. We have been several times since they changed and its like a nightmare... It just keeps getting worse and worse. (Color of Money) Tonight, the appetizers were uninteresting. Bread choices are just stupid; you can choose either Rye Bread or Gluten Free Cornbread with pear butter. I guess those were the two varieties on sale at Aldi. Limited bread choices would have been fine if the bread had been well made. It was not. We chose the Cornbread. It tasted like sand with applesauce (pear butter) so we traded for the rye. The Rye wasn't much better - they served three dense rye rolls that probably could have been used as baseballs. Without the butter the Rye would also have been inedible. As for salad, you get one choice of salad and while I dont care for a lot of dressing, there was pretty much none on it. The lettuce looked like it was purchased from safeway over the weekend. Horrendous. I got the chicken and instantly wished I had gone to popeyes or even Boston market. Either one would have been better than this atrocity. The chicken was overcooked tasteless and dry dry dry. The overcooked chicken was served with some corn cake thing that had no flavor and required lots of liquid to wash it down. They did serve it with Carrots that were good.   Got brussels sprouts. I didnt think it would be possible to screw those up, but Trummers found a way. No dessert. Enough was enough. Best part of the meal was getting the check finding out it was cheaper than Arties. Trummers was just bad tonight. Overall the food is pretentious which would be fine if it tasted good. It did not. No wonder the restaurant was mostly empty while Villagio across the street was packed. We definitely chose poorly. Wont happen again.

    We had a great dining experience. The signature cocktail was delicious. There was a kids menu for my 9 year old and he ate his whole dinner. The appetizers were unique and tasted great. We even got special handmade ice creams. The waitstaff made sure we were all very happy with our meals. Hoping to get back soon to try their French rotisserie prime rib.
