Our service was exceptional. The food and beverages were fantastic. It was rather loud in the dining room, but that was fine by us. We were happy to see so many people enjoying one of our favorite restaurants. My only complaint was that we didn't receive any bread with their world-famous hummus. We tried a new-to-us appetizer, the carpaccio, it was delicious.

The food and service were excellent, but this was our first visit and we want to see what else they have to offer. The place is always crowded, which speaks to its popularity. It’s pricey but worth it, especially for a special occasion.

Trattoria Marcella has been a family favourite for over 20 years. We have come to rely on the consistency of flavours and service. Understandably, on Mother’s Day weekend they were very busy and the noise level was high. That was not a concern, the lacklustre service and room temp appetizers, Toasted Ravioli and Fitto Misto, were not pleasant. We always order those appetizers and I never recall them not being hot…flavor was there so they must have been sitting a while to cool down. The waiter did not refill drinks without request, was not attentive and simply dropped the check on the table, without a word. We are loyal patrons and will return however we expect better going forward.

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful - quick but not rushed as we had tickets to the Fox that evening. I cannot wait to go back! Our server also recommended a bottle of wine and it was one of the best Cabernet wines I have ever tasted.

Food is always outstanding. Great meal. Great service. Great value. I love going there. Maybe it was just our luck, but noise was a bit too much. It got better as the crowd thinned out later. But overall, best meal in a long time.

There was no music on, and it was packed to the gills. It's just a big dark room with no windows so I would say it is lacking in atmosphere. Food is better than most St. Louis Italian places, but the menu also hasn't changed in 20 years.

They were super busy but we were seated for our reservation in about 5 minutes. Mike, our server, was busy but attentive. The roasted wild mushrooms were delicious as was the lobster risotto.
