Very friendly service but never intrusive. Fantastic coffee and very good food. I will be back and I strongly recommend.
Got the Tilth tasting menu and everything was very good. Their soups have been incredible each time I've eaten here.
We had a fabulous time for our 5th wedding anniversary.
We enjoyed the cozy ambiance. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. And the food was delicious--from the creamy coconut squash soup to the rich, earthy mushroom risotto and seared scallops! We arrived early, and the room got a bit noisy as it filled up. But we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. We'll be back--soon!!!
We had the brunch prifix menu—delicious! A great way to sample the menu and plenty of food for the price. Enjoyed everything! Would recommend the baked egg, the quinoa salad, and the French toast.
We had a terrific anniversary dinner at Tilth. Andre our server was really respectful and careful about consulting with the chef about my many food allergies. Every bite of the tasting menu, even when adjusted, was a delight to our palettes-yum! Thanks for a great dinner.
The food is memorable for the right reasons. The menu has nice variety. The servers are knowledgeable and do a very good job. It is a comfortable place to have an extremely nice meal. Consistently good and highly recommended.
We had eaten at Tilth for dinner a number of times, but had never had their brunch (Saturdays and Sundays). They have a lovely brunch menu, including a prix fix three course meal, which would have been too much food for us. The entrees we ordered were excellent - I had the quiche with blue cheese and a potato crust, C had the wild mushroom omelet. Both were excellent. There are plenty of other things on the menu we'd like to try, so we will be back.
My meal was very ordinary, my wife’s was better. Service was inadequate. Tilth normally does better $$$
Food was good but very small portions and very pricy. Feel there are better dining options in Seattle with better ambiance. The restaurant is small and inside an old house, not exactly what I was expecting for $110 a person.
Have had dinner here a couple times, and this was our first brunch. It was immensely enjoyable and I would say I enjoyed it better than dinner, which was a really great experience as well. Love her food sourcing and thoughtful creations.
We tried the orange cranberry muffin (wish the jelly and creams came on the side instead of slathered on) ginger waffle plain (for picky little one), the sourdough French toast, a bit sweet however delicious, the foraged mushrooms omelet (LARGE, should be shared, and the hash.
Every bite was savored or brought home to enjoy later.
Would definitely make this reservation again.
On a drizzly night our group ordered the smaller of the two vegetarian tasting menus. The courses grew from the simple but delicious apple celeriac soup to a gorgeous and flavorful bean cassoulet. Excellent service and a cozy warm setting made for a wonderful evening. And the commitment to local flavors included a Theo Chocolate ganache cake, showing off our favorite fremont factory.
Christmas Eve dinner for 3. Prix fixe at $135 per head. UNDERWHELMING for the price tag. Should have gone to Canlis.
Disappointed on Christmas Eve. My vegetarian wife had one choice, the cassoulet which was tasty but just a bowl of mushy beans with nothing special considering the price. My lamb was excellent but half as much more would have been optimal. The celeriac soup was wonderful but again about 20% more would have made it perfect. The chocolate dessert was excellent. For two of us the bill was $314.45, including a mandatory tip which was without any alcohol. I was on the verge of being hungry. It was good, but the price is high for what you get and it wouldn’t take much to make it right. I have seen many other reviews saying the same. Maybe they should listen.
Very disappointed in our Christmas Eve meal. Incredibly rich, and not in a good way... very heavy butter and truffle tastes stuck around way too intensely. Heirloom bean dish look positively unappealing, and the cheesecake honestly had no flavor, like at all. I expected to pay beaucoup bucks for my dining experience, but I also expected the quality of the food to match the steep price tag.
We ordered the tasting menu with the wine pairings. The portions were perfect, and a couple of the dishes were truly outstanding. Most notable was the arctic char, and everything on the plate was absolutely extraordinary. I felt the pacing was too brisk, with zero time to savor the last sips of wine before the plates were whisked away and the next course served. The sliced rib eye looked perfectly prepared and enticing, but the dish was very disappointing since it was served barely warm instead of hot. Our last experience at Tilth was so memorable that our expectations were high, but this time it was not up to that prior level. Despite that, it was a pleasant evening and our guests enjoyed it.
One of the best brunch experiences I’ve had. We were not rushed, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding.
Lovely spot for a festive family dinner. Delicious dinner, quiet enough for visiting, gracious service. We always enjoy coming here.
Disappointing. Service was slow and the food was sub par. My squash gnocchi were thick and tough and the yogurt cheese at the bottom had separated. While the beets in our beet salad were delicious, the dish included a green-black herbal puree that detracted from the freshness of the dish.
Food was not not good, but for a 'fine dining' experience with tasting menus with these prices it was really not spectacular at all. Fish and meat dishes were the best, rest was just okay (risotto was actually overcooked). Wine matching was disappointing and some courses where way too big for an 8 course meal (although we note that Americans may disagree with this, but we're used to European standards).
Exquisite. Tilth serves the best food in Seattle. Here's what I wrote for google:
Culinary artistry! The celeriac soup made me swoon. Since when does celeriac soup make anyone swoon? It has the wondrous tang of apple and is poured over a little diced apple and ricotta for extra creamy richness. The char was exquisitely prepared -- so buttery soft but with a perfectly crisp skin like I dream about. It was wonderfully flavorful with its parsnip puree (so smoky, nom nom!) and balanced by broccolini and a slightly citrusy vinaigrette. I would have liked the risotto to be a bit chewier but the flavor was perfection. There's something magical about the combination of the rare ribeye and delicata squash. They made a glorious bite together. And dessert was gorgeous, richly chocolatey with chantilly cream that I won't forget for a long time.
The wines were perfectly paired with the tasting menu. I love that they have multiple options for the tasting menu -- size options and vegetarian choices.
I hadn't been to Tilth in some time, and found myself wondering why. Our server (new to the restaurant) was delightful and a real pro. And I just love the homey but elegant interior. I'll remember to do this more often.
Great vegetarian options and a few meat/fish options which suits our mostly vegetarian family well. My fave was the celeriac apple soup. Chef knocked it out of the park.
Tilts never disappoints. It has aways been one of my favorite places in Seattle. A last minute decision, we were able to make reservations and got seated where we could chat and carry on a decent conversation. The pre-fixe menu was outstanding! Thank you for a great meal!
Fantastic food and environment. Expensive but you get what you pay for :-)
Very disappointed in the food . Way overpriced for what you received. Service was fantastic.
Food was wonderful the service was fantastic with friendly staff. They accomodate the Celebration of my mother 85 years old birthday celebration. I am coming back.
Best steak I've had in recent memory. My friends raved about the arctic char. Great service. Pricey, but worth the splurge.
Tilth is always superb. A great place for a group of 4-6 - order small plates and share. Nothing will disappoint.
We had a great time! They were so helpful and kind for our group of 7 out to celebrate two birthdays. We loved it!
First of all, the service was excellent and our server made every effort to make sure everything was well taken care of.
That said, the food was middle of the road at best. We had a muffin that was dry and relatively boring, a salad that was uninspired and eggs Benedict with hollandaise that was more like melted butter than refined sauce and eggs that were severely under poached (transparent, runny yolks).
For an everyday restaurant, I would have given it another star. Tilth, however, holds itself out as fine dining, and the food did not measure up to that standard.
Brunch was perfect in every way!
Loved the food! Delicious.
Service was excellent.
I absolutely love the vegetarian and vegan options that are creative and extremely healthy! A fabulous neighborhood restaurant with friendly and knowledgeable service staff. Can't wait to go back again!
Although the food was all very good, we were disappointed with the overall experience. The noise level made it hard to have a conversation. There were 4 of us and because it was so hard to hear, we had to speak louder and that just made it worse. The restaurant wasn't full by any means. Our waiter was not engaged at all - he seemed pretty disinterested and not very friendly. We'd been wanting to try Tilth for a long time but sadly, will not be back.
8 of us (2 birthday guests) enjoyed 2 Tilth tasting menus- vegetarian or with meat. Every one of us said the food was excellent. We were able to have conversations with each other and had an attentive yet unobtrusive server. Thanks!
One couple had never been to Tilth and I’m sure they will return. The Heerens
Wait staff know what they are doing - lovely menu, with just the right amount of dazzle to keep us excited for the next course. They are all passionate about what the chef is preparing, making the experience feel decadent. Inviting, warm environment, good for conversation. A foodie's PARADISE!
Excellent service and food was wonderful , highly recommend
Service on Thanksgiving was very slow, entrée served lukewarm.
This was our Thanksgiving meal, and it was outstanding. Every little bite was delicious. The service was impeccable. Thank you for a great meal.
Have never had a bad meal here. Everything is fresh, creatively prepared and delicious. Love the Theo chocolate cake.
Very good meal, loved the atmosphere - felt like we went over to someone's house for a nice dinner party!
