You’ve never seen anything like this extravagantly decorated tiki-bar funhouse from Tatsu
Aikawa and the team behind Ramen Tatsu-Ya and Kemuri Tatsu-Ya.

Recently named one of the 40 best bars in Austin by Statesman critic Matthew Odam, Tiki
Tatsu-Ya is disguised by a fake travel company on the outside, but stepping in, you’re
immediately transported to another world. The riotous colors, sound effects and over-the-top
tropical cocktails in custom mugs and glasses feel like an island vacation or 21+ Disneyland.
Shareable drinks come with fire shows, and even the food far surpasses typical bar fare with
mouthwatering dishes like Spam Musubi, Crab Lagoon, Kalua Pork and the Pu Pu Platter, which
shouldn’t be missed. Reservations are recommended.

    Such a great spot to come out for food and drinks, with a really cool theme! Food was good, I just felt like it was pricey for the portions I received. The drinks are good, I did think they would be stronger. Staff was very friendly. Their wagyu was so good, wish the dish came with more!

    Good is quite good but the service not the best. The waitress didn’t had knowledge of the menu and the person who would bring the dishes, had this sass for no reason.

    As always this was a wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The food is high quality and delicious. Every drink I've ever had here is great and I've tried them all except for one that I'm allergic to which has never worried me because they ask each time about allergies. The bartenders make the drinks to perfection each time. To call out my favorite, you can't go wrong with the Forbidden Grog.

    Unique experience hidden away in Austin. We sat downstairs in the cave, which had the best ambience in my opinion. Everything we ordered was excellent. We really loved the crab appetizer and lettuce wraps. You cannot go wrong with the Mai Thai!

    Staff was able to accommodate a request/preference. Despite having to wait a little for it, they were able to accommodate and even give us a treat. Giselle (sorry if I misspelled) our server was great! We took our friends who were visiting town and they loved it.

    Please make a better effort to honor actual reservation times. Thankfully our server was quick and polite. Food was pretty good, but the price for the amount is a little steep. Both drinks were really good! Ths ambiance was giving rainforest cafe.
