The White Swan in Gressenhall is a beautiful country pub full of community spirit!
We're passionate about local beer, friendly welcoming service and proper pub food done well. The menu features beer battered fish & chips, local sausage & mash and homemade curry. You'll find classic pub fayre with a signature touch using fresh, seasonal & local produce and a kids menu too. Sunday roast served up family style so everyone can dig in and enjoy.

    Although the pub itself has atmosphere and the service was adequate unfortunately the food was substandard. After waiting an hour and a half the main courses ordered were unrecognisable as described on the menu. In some cases dishes were not available (no pastry for the pies advertised)! Parking is limited and blue badge bays could only be accessed by driving over a kerb. It was disappointing as the pub is a community enterprise and has a lot of potential if the food supplied could be of a better standard.

    We went on a Saturday evening, half the main meals were not available, the food we did have was fine but not as good as the food we have had in previous years. Hopefully a one off but was disappointing.

    Sunday lunch disappointing - the vegetables were undercooked, the yorkies were soggie and the meat was tough. It's sad as overall is a great community pub and we have been many times and not had a problem but it needs to up it's game on food to remain competitive.

    Very welcoming, we walked the Nar Valley Way and arrived 2 hours early! Very accommodating and looked after us well. Food very good and a fair price point.

    The main meals were delicious. The young new waitress was very good and attentive. Unfortunately the desserts were not as tasty, the pumpkin pie was underwhelming and the peach cobbler had a distinct salty taste. The Eton Mess was delicious. Great venue and lovely atmosphere.

    We are usually very happy with our visits to The Swan but were disappointed on this occasion. Our food arrived nearly an hour after our arrival and despite being told there may be a wait this was not acceptable. One of the items on the menu was missing, cauliflower cheese, and although this was flagged up it was not hot when it arrived. We made a late booking and feel it should not have been accepted if they were unable to provide a good service. Our waitress was very attentive and apologetic and the nut roast was delicious. It would be a great shame if this kind of mistake would see the demise of a very pleasant community pub. .

    We had food four nights in a row on holiday and it was fantastic.the pub had a great atmosphere with really friendly staff ,a great choice of meals that were all plentiful and delicious.we will be back when next in the area.
