About this restaurant

Neighborhood gem

Lancaster, Pa. is home to The Waterfront restaurant. Once an old mill house, the casual yet elegant restaurant is now a popular place to enjoy a delicious meal. The exposed brick, fireplace and warm lighting give the dining room and large bar at The Waterfront a cozy, inviting feel. Dine on the patio alongside the Conestoga River on a pleasant evening. At The Waterfront, the staff strives to use only locally sourced produce and meats, as well as freshly made bread for all the dishes on the menu. Using only the freshest ingredients means that the menu changes at least three times a year. While enjoying one of the specialty cocktails, try one of the items on the bar menu, such as beef brisket crostini. For a full meal, enjoy the local smoked pork shoulder or the seared Scottish salmon.

A real gem .... spur of the moment reservation as we were in the area proved to be quite enjoyable. The "chicken shepherd pie" and the "crab cake wellington", both small plate specials, were outstanding. And besides, where can you go and have the waitress offer anchovies on the ceasar salad!! Most places don't even know how to spell the word!! Happy we stopped in ... will do so again.
