   Absolutely phenomenal experience! I travel often and the service, food and ambience are second to none. I am from Florida where the seafood is incredible and always fresh. I must say the crab cakes are the best I have ever had. No filler and perfectly seasoned. The ambience is lovely, just the right blend between new and old. Antique chandeliers and woodwork coupled with modern touches and the restaurant was spotless. Great service as well! My server was knowledgeable and friendly and rounded out the experience. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and go!! 10/10 highly recommend.

   It was the perfect way to end a visit with my son , works at William and Mary. We enjoyed the music, the ambiance and our food was delicious. Our waiter, Tom, did an excellent job.

   Food was excellent. Ambiance was excellent. The service was beyond sub-par. The rare seen server was cold in tone and pulled a disappearing act for most of our meal. We had to beg for one round of refills, after making multiple unfilled requests;. Our dinners sat out cooling as we waited for utensils (never seen that at a high end restaurant). Empty appetizer dishes and water glasses littered our table as our party traded melting ice in our glasses to substitute for missing drinks. All could have been resolved with a reduction in tip, but our party of 6 was forced to pay full 20%. The Manager was also absent during meal, but did show empathy as we departed restaurant disgruntled. Unfortunately, the damage was done. Our party of 6 was not impressed with the evening.

   The Tobacco Company has a great atmosphere, great bartenders and waitstaff. Food quality is amazing and service was spectacular! A group of us came from a show at the Altria Theatre for dinner and had a great dining experience. The jazz music that evening was a bonus! Thank you for a great girls night out!

   Disappointing experience. Service was practically non existent. Food was mediocre. Band was fantastic. Ambiance was cool. Will go back for music and drinks but that’s all. And to top it off I received a notification that I wouldn’t get points for the Open Table reservation. All around fairly bad experience. Do not recommend

   It was a great experience. Wonderful atmosphere. There was plenty of room between tables. We felt as if we were seated privately but within the company of others. The waitstaff was attentive and visited with us at all of the right times. The food was delicious. The drinks were phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant. It was worth every penny.

   We were in town for GalaxyCon and my birthday and to hang out with old friends. They put us on the third floor in a little private cubicle and even welcomed my service dog. The ambiance and food was just amazing. Thank you so much! TBC is one of my favorite places to eat when in town and always will be!

    Outstanding dinner. The service was excellent and the food did not disappoint! We ordered the filet, meatloaf and the scallops; all were delicious! The server helped my daughter with drink choices and she loved it.

    We loved our experience! The food was amazing, Elliott our server was great, and we loved the atmosphere! Will definitely come back! One thing that was not annoying, just the noise we experienced is on the third floor there was this motor like sound that would come on every once in a while which was loud, but didn’t disturb us too much.

    A beautiful venue with tasty fare. Make a reservation as the restaurant is always busy. Sitting on the rail is quite nice. The more private tables get a bit cozy, I would let the staff know while making a reservation if there are more traditionally build people in your party. Our server was slow and a bit inattentive, but very pleasant. Steaks were cooked well; order to the more rare side if you like a lot of pink.

    Our experience was wonderful. Unfortunately my pork tenderloin was overcooked but they offered to replace but I hated to but it was so dry I am disappointed with myself for not accepting their offer.

    After waiting 20 minutes to be seated which I had reservations, they put us on the third floor after we sat down, we asked a hostess for a dessert menu. She told us if we want to order only dessert that we have to sit on the first floor I told them they did not tell me that when I got there, I asked to speak to the manager, the manager never came. A waiter, showed up at our table and took our dessert orders.

    I ordered the prime rib, it was mediocre at best, green beans were cold and barely cooked. Loaded baked potato was not fresh and very dry. My wife had she-crab soup and the company chicken. Her meal was superior to the prime rib entree. Her veggies were tender and flavorful and her mashed potatoes were very good. Key like for dessert, again, nothing special. Our waitress was fine and took care of us, although not exceptional. For the price of the meal and the reputation of the restaurant the evening did not live up to our expectations. This was our second visit. The ambiance is fantastic, but everything else has room for improvement.

    Amazing!! We loved the food and our waitress was so kind It was very busy and loud downstairs but upstairs it was really nice. I think that’s where they seat people with reservations, but I’m not sure.

    The ambiance in this re-done tobacco warehouse is outstanding. It is the best in the Richmond area. The Tobacco Company is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. The mashed sweet potatoes were in fact sweet and the best I have ever eaten. I didn't care for the brussel sprouts....but does anyone really like brussel sprouts? Everything else was perfect.

    My wife and I went to Tobacco Company for our anniversary dinner and really enjoyed it! It was perfect for the occasion, and we really liked the food and cocktails. We got there a little early and sat at the bar on the first floor, which is a bit more happening (band plays later in the night). Then our table was ready on the third floor, which had the right ambience for an anniversary dinner. The pecan pie for dessert was amazing!

    The ambiance was very nice I loved the music and the lighting. The old tobacco look was pleasing. Our food didn’t take very long but our sides were not hot, they were room temperature and our steaks were more in the burnt side. It was our 1st wedding anniversary and I noted that on the reservation yet there was no acknowledgment of it at all. So that was disappointing! We asked if they did anything celebratory and the waiter said they do any of the deserts free except the butter cake. That was a disappointment because the butter cake is the best dessert there is! But we settled for the chocolate torte and even when that came it didn’t say “happy anniversary “ on the plate so that was disappointing. We also were seated next to a large party of 14 people so it was hard to hear each other speak over their table. I would consider coming black possibly but definitely not for a milestone like this or even a birthday.
