A Traditional village pub for “Drinking & Dining” set in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. We serve local, high quality food in a relaxed atmosphere with a warm Yorkshire welcome. You can call in for lunch, or spend the evening with us and dine in the restaurant or bar. Much of our menu consists of produce from village allotments and from our own vegetable gardens. We are, and have been since the beginning, devoted to sourcing and using local produce from the East Riding of Yorkshire. Why not take advantage of our Yorkshire Lunch Menu

There were 3 in our party and 2 enjoyed their meal. My wife had the beef main course which she found chewy! I had the halibut which was fine and our companion who is a vegetarian found the veggie options fine

We came for Sunday Lunch to celebrate our daughters Birthday. We live in North Lincolnshire and our daughter and her husband live in Pocklington. We thought it would be a really good venue. How right we were! The food was delicious and the service 1st Class. The venue was ideal and the tables well spaced out. We had a lovely relaxing enjoyable time. Thank you all so much.

Cosy pub surroundings with hearty fare. I enjoyed the multiple delights of pea and asparagus in soup and salad while my husband went for the more traditional meaty pub dinner. Enjoyable.

Remains a great little find - gastropub at top end of the scale. Can't fault it for Sunday Lunch or evening meal.

Oh yes and have done more than once now. Done the Sunday Lunch and now a Friday evening with friends - perfect both times. Great atmosphere - service balances professionalism and comfort, with food top notch. Can't fault it.

Friendly and attentive service. The staff obigingly adjusted to a last-minute increase in our numbers. Well cooked food and well-presented. I personally prefer my Scallops to be done through but that is a minor quibble.
