   I must start by saying I am a HUGE fan of this restaurant, this space and the service. I was a tad confused that, despite our early reservation (and only about 9 patrons in the restaurant), we were not able to place our order for about 10 minutes post being seated. Odd. However, once our server did take care of our order everything went smoothly and in line with the high standards of service and enjoyment we've come to expect from the Stables. I mention this as I believe it to be an anomaly, not a feature. I heartily recommend The Stables to anyone who loves great food, great drinks, well paired wine and a convivial atmosphere in a really nice Fan space..

   So happy we chose to dine here! Welcoming atmosphere, warm bar area, and cleanliness of dining room was outstanding. Menu is creative and each dish we ordered was not only prepared perfectly, but exceeded our expectations. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with wine selections. This restaurant is definitely worthy of a return visit. The chef is so creative, that I would have loved to see what would/could have been created as an amuse bouche. Well done.

   Service was outstanding. Responsive, knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. Mussels appetizer was finest I’ve ever experienced. Very tender and perfectly prepared. Ribeye was also very flavorful and perfectly cooked with a great quality cut. Waitress was very responsive to our wine tasting that didn’t initially meet what we were looking for and brought us a different wine that worked well. Gearhart Chocalates and lemon cake made for a special night for my special person. Thanks.

   Food was good, skip the desserts that didn’t live up to the rest. Kept the dining area kinda cold, several patrons kept their coats on- sadly sucks getting dressed up and not being able to comfortably eat because of the draft. The bathrooms are scary small and sketchy- tarnished the ambience.

    First time visit. Unfortunately we cannot recall our server's name, but she was outstanding!! We did tell her she was one of the best servers we ever had anywhere!! The food was amazing! Hot, fresh, and sooo flavorful! All four of us pretty much cleaned our plates! Plus, we ordered desserts, which rarely happens! We are definitely planning to go back once the season changes and the next menu comes up!

    The Stables was highly recommended by a co-worker of mine and it lived up to the billing! Had a drink at the bar before dinner and the cocktails were fantastic! The smells from the kitchen (just in front of the bar) were even better! Our waitress was fantastic and the food was delicious!

    Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was not at all pretentious. The cocktails were pleasantly strong, the appetizers generous, and the main courses perfectly cooked. The duck breast was amazing. Highly recommended.

    Second visit and experience was as good as the the first. Food was terrific , red curry muscles, scollops and rockfish, all nicely prepared. Service was attentive and cordial. Wine list is interesting and reasonably priced.

    Overall the food was good. Both the pork and duck we ordered were well prepared and tasty. We weren't a super fan of the strawberry shrub drinks, they had too much vinegar in them. One person in our party had dined at the Stables a month prior and had the muscles which made her sick so she was a bit apprehensive when she found out where we had reservations.

    My husband and I came here for Valentine’s Day. The food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long at all. Our waiter was very friendly and checked in on us frequently. We were stuffed by the end of our meal and were really happy that we came here. We’ll definitely be back again in the future.

    This is one of our favorite places for a nice date night so it was a natural choice for Valentines day. Each course was excellent and the salad in particular was simple but one of the best I have had. The champagne provided with dessert was also a nice touch.

    An absolutely lovely valentines dinner. The specialty menu was definitely designed to prepare and move quickly (salad, soup, scallops, etc) but it was done beautifully and neither of us left hungry, that is certain! The staff was very sweet and helpful, the cocktails (both on menu and a 'make me something interesting ') were lovely, and the location - a Bit off the main dragon Cary street- makes it easier to park, even. The only thing I would fuss about is the weather was too chilly to leave the front door open and I was kinda cold even after it was closed again.

    We have been to Stables once in the past and loved it! Then COVID came and stopped everything. We were finally able to get a reservation! Again, a fantastic experience! Excellent wait staff, phenomenal food, great ambiance, and such a warm and wonderful experience. We look forward to our next time… introducing our friends to Stables! Thank you!

    Fabulous entrees—one was the special market catch—rockfish—perfectly cooked and seasoned, served on garlicky broccoli rabe and parsnip purée. Excellent! Partner had duck breast that was expertly prepared—crispy top fat layer and medium rare meat-with amazing brown sauce tinged with oranges, alongside sunchokes. Fab Cab Franc wine to accompany. Fantastic service by very knowledgeable and attentive Emily. Exceptional dinner all the way around!

    Our experience was wonderful! First time at The Stables are the service was exceptional. Emily took great care of us and was so knowledgeable about food and wine! It was really a joy to talk to her and get her recommendations. Katherine was also great! She had very good recommendations and her energy was awesome! The food was fantastic, the drinks were delicious, and the wine was so good! We will definitely be back. Shoutout to Emily and Katherine for taking such good care of us!!
