Bagot Street, Abbots Bromley, ENG WS15 3DB

About this restaurant

The West Midlands is a hotbed of Indian cooking, and there can be few places in the UK that can boast as many high standard curry houses. Even the smallest town and village has their friendly neighbourhood dhal dealer, pakora provider and bhuna bringer, but there is a reason that the most knowledgeable punters of the region head to Abbots Bromley to get their fill. The Royal Ruchi on Bagot Street in the centre of the village was the first Indian restaurants in Stafford or the surrounding towns to offer a tasting menu, which is designed to expand the minds and the expectations of curry connoisseurs. That means everything from authentic street food from India to gourmet regional specialities such as grilled Achari king prawns, traditional Kashmiri style lamb, Goan masala sea bass with fresh asparagus and a top notch dessert in the form of carrot fudge with pistachio kulfi. There is wine pairing for all tasting menus, and advance booking is absolutely essential: so book a table now.
