   I HAVE BEEN TO MANY PALMS IN THE US I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH VEGAS IN THE CESAR PALACE BUT YESTERDAY AT THE HARD-ROCK HOTEL IN ORLANDO I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THE SERVICE THAT ALL THE FOOD TOOK TOO LONG TO COME OUT AND WHEN I GET MY STEAK IT WAS COLD AND WAITED ON THE TABLE MORE THAN USUAL TO BE CUT, I NOW KNOW WHY THE PLACE WAS NOT PACKED ON A FRIDAY NIGHT.

   We shared the 12 oz filet and it was good, cooked to right temperature, but I wasn’t impressed. I was expecting to be a bit more ‘wowed’. Wild mushrooms for side were very good. For being a higher end restaurant in this area, it was not what we expected but still a good meal.

   The service from Angela was amazing. Great suggestions and knowledge. Told us the history of the drawings on the walls. The pre fixed menu for Memorial Weekend is sooooo worth it. Will definitely be returning

   Love the relaxing ambience at the Palm. Staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. Gabe our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful by giving great food recommendations. The broiled lobster was excellent and superb compared to any other restaurants. The steak was cooked perfectly and loved the garlic mashed potatoes. Great experience.

   Julien took great care of me and my family last night! We were celebrating my dads 63rd birthday and it was a memorable experience. Julien was extremely knowledgeable and had great recommendations. My dad had the 22 oz. dry aged ribeye and claimed it was the best steak he ever had. Him and i started off splitting the wedge and it was indeed the most fresh and best wedge salad we have ever had. We finished the meal with a slice of carrot cake and a beautifully sung happy birthday song. We will all be back sooner rather than later. The food was INCREDIBLE. The service was even better. Thank you Julien for making my dads birthday one he will never forget!

    Everything was awful from start to finish. First, bread came out cold In a high end restaurant, you would expect warm rolls. Next, we order the grilled octopus as an appetizer. It came with two pieces. First piece was fine. Second piece was undercooked and unchewable. We sent it back and manager came over to apologize and said she would "do some things for us" to make up for it. Next was lobster bisque. They poured the bisque into the dish at the table, which was a nice touch, except they didn't bring any spoons to eat the soup. After several minutes, the spoons arrived, but I wish they didn't. It tasted like the cook accidentally spilled the whole bottle of salt into the soup. (At least I would like to give the cook the benefit of the doubt that this was a mistake--it couldn't be the actual recipe). I didn't complain about the soup because I already complained about the octopus. (Didn't want to be one of those). Then we saw that every table around us was complaining about one thing or another. LOL. Next came the main course, I ordered the pappadella bolognese and my son ordered the 8 ounce filet mignon. The pasta in my pappadella was under cooked and the noodles were all stuck together. (It wasn't stirred in the pot while cooking). Horrible. My son could not chew the filet mignon. What? Filet mignon is supposed to be the tenderest cut. There was a large vein running through the middle of the steak (which is not supposed to be there in a filet mignon). He had to spit out pieces of the steak into his napkin because he couldn't chew it. I suspect they gave him a different cut of meat, and charged for the filet mignon. Next came the check. They comped us for our 2 sodas, $9.00 total, but didn't take the octopus ($23.00) off the check. I called the manager over and she apologized and said that was an oversight. The waitress came back with a revised checked that took off the octopus, but added back in the sodas. Petty. $225 for two people.

    The food was delicious-We had the calamari and shrimp appetizers, steaks, hashbrowns, asparagus, and fries and the chocolate cake. All were fantastic. Amy was an excellent server. Gave only 4 stars for ambiance only because the air conditioner wasn't working properly and it was hot, but I'm sure that's not always the case. Gave 4 stars for value because it's expensive to eat here, but it was definitely worth it to us. By far the best food we had at Universal. Nothing else came close. My son (22) said it was the best meal he had ever eaten. Thank you!!

    I read the mixed reviews beforehand but decided to eat here anyways because I was staying at the Hard Rock hotel. I was so disappointed with the food, ordered a steak medium and came out medium rare and decided to send it back just to have it bought back out the same. Had no flavor and it just seemed like a piece of old meat, only ate half. Ordered the shrimp ( over cooked) . The creamed spinach was good but didn’t want to just eat that for my dinner. My server knew we were not happy with the meal but just went on her way. So in the end spent $200 for a half eaten steak, overcooked shrimp and spinach (and no cocktails). Go somewhere else, would not recommend!

    Terrible experience for Mother's Day 2023. Spent $450 for food that took forever to come out, out of stock items (after ordered), ordered items that never made it to the table, and a wrong item that made it to the table. No offer to make anything good.

    Orders were messed up several times, wrong drinks, tuna appetizer was rancid. Smelled like bait. Filet was burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. Order was medium. This not the first time the experience has been below average at The Palm.. It’s a shame… management removed the tuna and offered to toss the filet back on the grill after everyone was done and over it. Save your money.

    Our service was outstanding, thanks Chase. My friend had a correction to her steak which they made in record time, amazing chef. I have always had the salmon and it's outstanding, this time I had the bass. I don't recommend it. It was unflavored and dry. However, I would never take away from the brilliance and kindness of the staff at this restaurant. Oh, and the grilled octopus is to die for ❤️

    Waitress was GREAT!! Super service! I ordered a 12 ounce fillet and it was very dry. Ordered medium rare it came medium well. Crab legs just OK. After eating at Charlie’s steakhouse. It’s hard to compare. $300 for two people.

    Disappointed with food. I have been here before. A much dif experience. The food this time was over cooked and if it had cheese like the ceaser salad and au gratin potatoes had way too much cheese I couldn't even find potatoes and the salad was unfortunately was overly drenched. Again not like last time. Restaurant was extremely loud and I could not hear my date talk. Service was excellent. I will go back and try again... The first Time was amazing!

    The Palm is the best restaurant in the Universal Orlando vicinity. The service and food was top notch. It was an experience and was the dining highlight of our visit. Our waitress helped us navigate the wine list when our selection wasn’t available. Her suggestion was spot on. She made great recommendations and even shared some travel tips for Italy, when we shared our son was heading over the following month. We started with a shrimp cocktail and Buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes. My wife and daughter shared a N.Y. Strip. I ordered the veal chop parmigiana. When I asked how thin it was pounded our waitress’s response was magical, “How thin would you like it?” Perfecto! For sides, we had asparagus and the classic, half and half. Since we aren’t quitters, we capped off the night with a piece of gooey fudge cake. The Palm is not to be missed.

    This was a disaster of an experience. We paid over $1,000 for dinner, and the food was terrible. Wrong steak temperatures, the lobster was cold/rubbery, and my steak which was a $65 steak was cold. The majority of us left our food and didnt finish it. I would not recommend.

    Disappointing. As a long time participant of 837 and Landry’s, this meal was subpar. The lobster and steak were both overcooked. The lobster claws were mushy. The filet was dry and charred. The appetizers were less enticing than most bar food. Overall tolerable but not enjoyable and certainly not the usual standard I have come to expect at other locations.

    Stay away! This has turned into a tourist trap. The only thing that was good about the meal was the bottle of wine and the oysters. The steak tartare smelled, was tasteless, and dry. The steak was over cooked and the lobster gnocchi had two very very small pieces of lobster. There are much nicer steakhouses in Orlando which are within 3-4 miles from here. Very disappointed especially after spending $500.

    Service on this particular evening was a miss. Time between apps and entree was an hour and I was never provided any explanation as to why or an apology.
