   Service was outstanding. Braised short ribs were tasty, carrots were colorful and whole but could have been tasty if not so crunchy raw neither a fork nor knife could reduce the size enough to eat without picking up with fingers! Mashed sweet potatoes were different.

   Really creative cuisine. Love the fried green tomatoes. Every person that sat down looked at everyone else’s food when it was served. Was that good. Great service. Awesome hole in the wall pub that is a hidden gem.

   Food and service were not good! We are Savannah locals and this place use to be good but has gone down hill. Mimosas were warm, biscuits were burnt twice even after sending back the first one. Save yourself time and go somewhere else, much better choices!

   As soon as I walked in it smelled horrible… similar to a frat basement with old beer. The hot wings were recommended but were horrible. They were tangy but in a weird way. We both had something from the sea selection but the shrimp and calamari were not local or no where near fresh… more so from the grocery story frozen isle. The pasta that was mixed in was over cooked and that I could buy at my local store. The cocktail I had was just bad and the wine was warm. If you’re looking for a simple canned beer, fried food, or a drunk snack, don’t even bother coming her either.

   Staff were great from hostess to waitress. Very helpful and personable. Decor and ambiance was very nice. Felt like your very own secret place, like an old speakeasy. Tight seating but don’t have an overcrowded feel. Three of my party of 4 loved their food. One was less impressed with the banana foster French toast. Didn’t care for the flashed fried toast and said that made it dry. No syrup provided with dish. Garnished with bananas that were just cut and not caramelized. That person said they would not order again. Chorizo skillet was deemed VERY good. The pub club was quite large and chocked full of meat. Very good and filling. The side of french fries are large, tender and tasty. Chicken and waffles were a hit. Served with syrup that doubled as a topping for the French toast. The side of cheese grits (with bacon) was tasty and rich but felt like more of a raw cornbread by one taster. One of the party had been here before and noted that the burgers were really good too. All in all it was definitely a keeper but some will probably order other things next time.

   The experience was great, server was super friendly and they had our table ready at our reservation time. Only reason I’ll give a 4 star is bc they didn’t have any high chairs and they didn’t have any kids menus. People have kids, we can’t act like they don’t exist lol…well you can but come on. But the food was delicious and so were the drinks! Definitely recommend this place!

   We have eaten here many times and will come back. This last visit both my Mac and cheese in the morning and my husbands bbq biscuit was over cooked. I’ve had the mac and cheese many times and today it was very dry. My husbands bbq was very dry and tough. Drinks were great and so was the service. Miss on the food today everything else was perf.

    Our experience was disappointing. We are local and were surprised to find out that this Southern “Pub” did not have iced tea, had zero beers on tap, did not offer bottled beer and had a college frat party selection of canned beer. The coleslaw with the veggie tacos were inedible. We brought out of town guests and they were not impressed. We will not return.

    We were really excited to try the pub because of all of the great reviews. However, the entrees were a disappointment. The pork belly sliders were a nice start to the meal and we thought they had some nice flavor. For our mains we ordered a Savannah Burger, Brunch BBQ Biscuit and Chimichurri Crab Cake Benedict. The burger was tough and the bacon was extremely overcooked. Barely ate any of it. Also, the fries came loaded which we did not want. The biscuit for the BBQ was dry and just fell apart and the crab cakes had hardly any chimichurri flavor and were full of shells. We were visiting from out of town and this was our only disappointing meal of the trip out of the 10 we had.

    Got a reservation here for Mother’s Day brunch because the menu looked great, and we were not disappointed. The food was really good and the service was impeccable. I can also shout out to the hostess, manager and staff who all helped with my non-mobile mom. I was aware that this is a “basement” facility and she cannot do stairs, but they show it on their website as handicapped accessible, so I assumed there would be a lift and I confirmed by phone that they have a freight elevator that opens into the back alley. Anyway, they helped get my mom to and from the table and were very kind and cheerful while doing so, so that she never felt that she was an imposition. Thumbs up on all counts. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is the noise level- deafening.

    Overrated! So many people recommended the Ordinary Pub, but it was mediocre at best. I had a $25 crab cake eggs Benedict. The little bit of hollandaise sauce tasted like water with some tarragon. How do you screw that up…it usually can make anything taste good. The eggs weren’t poached, just sunny side up. The crab cakes tasted like the cheap deviled crab you used to buy in the grocery store. There was a limp, uninspired salad to go with it. Yawn. My friend’s avocado toast was meh as well, with what seemed to be not fresh avocados, but instead something packaged. Just why?

    Going down the steps, you get the feeling that The Ordinary Pub is a little extraordinary. Our reservation was honored immediately and we were seated in the corner near the bar, which was great for good service but the noise level was too high to allow normal conversation.

    We ordered the gumbo & grits and savannah burger entrees. The gumbo was not hot and the grits were dry. The shrimp were very salty. The burger was tasty and had a nice pink center despite our server not asking how we preferred the burger cooked. Prices were high given the quality of the entrees. I would not recommend the restaurant and we will not return. Review scores for this restaurant are definitely inflated.
