About this restaurant

Good for special occasions
Great for outdoor dining
Romantic

The Old Mill is in a great location beside the Grand Union Canal in Berkhamsted. Its old mill-race thunders (or trickles, according to the season) over a weir and through the secret courtyard off the bar and the building retains the character of its Georgian & Victorian origins.

The Old Mill remains a real pub, where you’re just as welcome to enjoy a decent pint of bitter at the bar or a deli board as a fine three course meal.

Served Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 9.30am to 11.30am. The old proverb demands that we should breakfast like kings. In our pubs, we serve up the favourites alongside new classics and always prioritise quality produce – our eggs and bacon are freerange and our sausages are from Jimmy Butler's farm. Lovely afternoon, superb waiter, very friendly and helpful staff. Food was amazing especially the cheesecake. One negative, food served on cold plates and serving dishes. I was very surprised at this and did not mention it at the time. Did not not want to hold up proceedings. Many thanks for a lovely visit.
