The Love never fails. Wonderful food, great service and a beautiful space.
Highly recommend!!! Everything we had was delicious.
Loved The Love. Been meaning to try this for a year now. Excellent dinner the night we were there. Wonderful and attentive server. Perfect pacing on the courses so that nothing came out too quickly . I don't like to feel rushed and I absolutely did not at The Love. I ordered the scallop dish which was a new addition, apparently , to the menu and it was just excellent. Would recommend that highly as well as the Kale Risotto and the Tuna Poke. The only shortcoming in my opinion were the cocktails. They were just OK. But the food was a wow!!
The food was to die for, the flavor combinations we're perfection, especially The Rapture. It was a perfect combination of sweet and salty that blew my mind. Loved the steak and fries and the duck salad was a perfect starter to a delicious meal.
Great place to go with a group or as a couple! All of the food is amazing so try a little of everything! Don't skip the exotic mushroom toast- you'll dream of it for days after.
Fantastic food! Also some really creative cocktails. Prices a bit high, but not unexpected in downtown Philly. Also a bit loud, but not to the extent that it detracted from the experience. Highly recommended!
Excellent food and service!
It's hard to beat great, creative food and cocktails with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly, efficient service. Our daughter recently moved to Philadelphia, and everything was so outstanding on our first visit for dinner that we decided to return on another visit for brunch, which also turned out to be outstanding in every way.
Great place, really cozy inside. This is a petty thing but I ordered an omelet and it came with 3 potatoes ...my friend got a frittata that was huge and came with more than twice that many potatoes
Everything was amazing, from the service and the complimentary birthday gifts - great way to spend a nice dinner with friends and family. The ambiance is cool, the vibe was elegant but relaxed. Loved the love, will be back soon!
Hands down one of the best meals of my life. Everything was delicious and the service was on point. So yourself a favor and be sure to get the brussel sprouts. Devine.
Yes. It was our first visit and we loved it soo much we made another reservation for the first Saturday night available We made it at the desk and nt thru Open Table because we were there..
We celebrated a wedding anniversary on a recent Saturday evening at The Love. The table was ready at the reserved time and the flowers were on the table. Not surprisingly, the restaurant was packed and the noise level was borderline unpleasant; definitely not conducive to a romantic meal. The food was excellent without exception, including the duck salad appetizer and the entrees, succulent branzino (a surprise, with head and tail) and a wonderful fish curry with layers of flavor. Service was friendly and mostly professional but timing was a bit off. After the all too common "what can I get you" before you had a chance to settle, let alone look at the menu, it took too long for the waiter to notice that we had put down the menus and were ready to order. Somewhat irritatingly, the wine by the glass didn't show up until about five minutes after the main course had been served, and this despite our alerting the waiter right away. Clearly, the coordination with the bar could be improved. All in all, the excellent food made up for the decibels and service issues. Avoid the high traffic times and you are likely going to have a delightful dining experience.
We had a great time at the Love. We shared several appetizers, and the entire table agreed that the mushroom toast was by far the best food that we had that night. Try it!
Delicious food and drinks, love the service and the ambiance.
Great food exceptional service
Its a good restaurant, nothing outstanding with slightly forced service and food that is strongly overpriced IMHO. Nothing bad about it in itself, but not worth the money.
Always an outstanding meal! Fig Caesar and Parker rolls to start. He had Branzino, I had salmon. Both cooked perfectly with great accompaniments. Attentive service, great location and vibe. Oh, and you can hear your friends and have a conversation! A perfect 10!
Absolutely amazing experience overall, the staff was remarkable and very knowledgeable of their menu .
the atmosphere was great. the food was amazing, my wife had the love bird and I had the Bohemian fish (order extra rolls you 'll want to get every drop of the sauce). My wife and I all ready planning our next visit.
I love The Love. Intimate, relevant atmosphere that is easy to have conversation even with a fully seated restaurant while enjoying a well curated dining menu! Truly delectable food choices! One of my favorite things about The Love is the knowledge and serving style of Kiara. She has a full understanding of the food and drink menu and has a listening to preferences so has always been spot on when making a food or drink recommendation. Food allergy?... No problem tweaking drinks or plates in a most delicious way to accommodate. Service is smooth and excellent! Always an enjoyable time!
Food and service was good, chairs for non-booth seating are uncomfortable.
At a recent biz lunch, we had carrot soup, arugula, apple & cheddar salad and the house turkey melt. Everything was delicious -- including the fresh brewed iced tea. The Love is always hopping and the food is consistently high quality in terms of taste and presentation. It's my go-to place!
Food was very good
Overall the experience was terrific. Some of the food came out less than hot, Which it should’ve been. But the flavors and textures were excellent. The noise level is high, making conversation difficult. The service was fairly attentive.
It was a perfect setting with varied meal selections to celebrate a family birthday. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and gracious which is most important. That welcome, unhurried introduction, together with the food presentation, special cocktails, and delicious meal, make it definitely worth coming back again. Intimate seating areas and bustling, but not overwhelming, ambient noise were also appreciated.
Everything was wonderful from the moment I sat down. Our server Julian was excellent as was the Fig Martini, Parker Rolls and Lobster Spaghetti.
This place was great all around. Food was excellent, service was top notch. I will definitely be back!
Chef Charles Parker and Aimee Olexy have done it again! Philly's foodie scene is lucky to have them.
The food and the service were terrific. The duck salad was excellent. However, the best thing about our dinner was the dessert. The madeleines are from heaven.
Amazing restaurant. GREAT menu. Outstanding service. Deserves to be on the top 50 restaurants in Phila!
Great birthday celebration !
We last dined a year ago for my birthday and went back again Saturday night. This was a fabulous dining experience again. The food was wonderful, from the crudite platter and rolls to the ribs and fried chicken. Drinks were excellent as well. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The manger mentioned there was a discount for parking and when she could not find the coupon for that, comped us a round of drinks. That was a very classy thing to do. I much appreciated that neither the servers nor managers had any attitude and were unpretentious, unlike some other Philly dining spots. The decor is really lovely as well. This is definitely a top restaurant for Philly and I highly recommend.
Good lunch place for lunch on a Saturday. Crowded and a little noisy, but not too much. Food was very good. Menu mostly comfort food, but presented nicely. Portions were generous. Would definitely return.
Came here for a friend’s birthday brunch. Good selection on the brunch menu and drinks were great. It was the first time for all three of us and we plan on coming for dinner soon.
Wonderfully creative range of American favorites elevated with flavor twists that create interest. Very rustic but sophisticated decor that delivers a warm dining experience. The second floor has booths that offer a nice view of the surrounding buildings on 18th.
All of the elements that make an excellent customer dining experience are working in harmony at the The Love... well trained staff, dining environment, engagement, and of course, Outstanding Food and Beverages!
We were seated at a very cozy and comfortable table, were able to enjoy our meal in a leisurely fashion, and thoroughly enjoyed the food; I would highly recommend The Love.
