The service and the food was very good. I did not like my entree and they immediately offered to get me something else but I was pretty full with my side dish. They took it off my bill and were very pleasant the entire time. I love all of Stephen Starr’s restaurants and this one is no exception.
Lovely place for a special celebratory lunch.
Food was excellent and atmosphere is warm and comfortable.
Perfect place for an out-of-town business guest. Wonderful representation of Philly!
The service was great, and the food was delicious! Glad I spent my birthday dinner here.
The reason I would not recommend The Love is it is way too expensive for food that is equal in taste and quality to lesser expensive restaurants in the City. The food was fine but truly nothing to get excited about so, $80 for brunch for two people (with no appetizer, no dessert and only 1 alcohol based drink) is really excessive.
Great for brunch. Loved the pancakes. Hush puppies and olive cheese ball were the best. Impeccable service. Highly recommend. Hope to go again for dinner.
Serice fine, food adequate, previous dinner far superior. would return for dinner
Beautiful space. Wonderful menu. Educated and happy servers. Food that was some of finest we have very had.
Food and drinks were fantastic! I loved out seat by the window on the second floor and ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint was service was a little slow.
Overall a really fun experience. The food was fantastic - very tasty and interesting. Menu is broken down into 3 parts: basically starters, pastas (which are large-appetizer sized), and mains. Everything was definitely shareable. The service was excellent: friendly and very accommodating, particularly with some dietary restrictions in our group. A great place to go with friends or family.
Great food and great drink selection. We had a food allergy in our party, and after explaining the allergy, the first course came out with the allergen on the plate. When we alerted our server, she was annoyed with us, which made for an awkward dining experience with our interactions with her for the rest of the night. Other than that, it was a great experience.
Took my husband for his birthday. Had a wonderful meal...shared the cheese plate, asparagus, whole branzino and the halibut. Everything was delicious! Our server was very attentive and personable. A little pricey, but would definitely go back for a special occasion.
This place was lovely, with great service and delicious, unique dishes. My family enjoyed dinner here, we ate at 7pm on a Friday night. We had to get a reservation in advance, the place fills up!
Restaurant had great layout very cozy feel. Food was great and place was buzzing for a thursday night. Will definitely go back
Love The Love!
Excellent food and loved the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to others.
The service was good and attentive however the price of the food compared to the quality was certainly unreasonable. I was expecting better from a downtown Rittenhouse restaurant.
The restaurant was so noisy we could not carry on a conversation. It is too bad to not want to recommend or return to what could be a lovely spot because of excessive noise.
First time atThe Love and it exceeded our expectations. Great staff, excellent food and the ambiance was perfect. We will be back.
The food and drinks were great...the food was cooked to perfection....drinks were solid good pours
Each course AND the cocktails were amazing. Beautiful atmosphere and perfect service!
I loved it!!! The cheese ball at brunch was my favorite.
The Love has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine at in the City. The food and service are consistently good.
The best brunch I ever had. I ordered the fajita that was like nothing I have ever had before. My wife loved the ginger carrot soup and the butter bun coffee cake was perfect. Very strong and delicious coffee. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend.
Great food and service in the best part of the city .
Great place; the food is inventive yet still accessible. Our server really knew the menu (and wine list), had a talent for description and for hitting the right balance between letting us decide our own order and guiding us. Indeed the risotto was "bright" and did not get monotonous, the curry was light and interesting, the cucumber salad refreshing. Our only regrets are that we did not have room for dessert. By the way, the Parker rolls are much better for breakfast than for dinner (maybe due to them being served with orange honey butter melted over the top rather than a chive butter on the side?)
It feels like a special occasion place, but eating there is its own special occasion.
We felt "The Love."
Great menu. Had a salad and scallops entree. Both were superior including presentations. Excellent attentive staff who even knew that plates should not be removed until everyone at the table has finished eating.
It’s ok. Nothing fancy or unbelievable. Too expensive for such simple dinner.
My daughter and I dine here frequently. We always receive exceptional service and they are very accommodating! My daughter is 7 years old and they do not put us in the corner like some of the other restaurants in the city. Everything I have tried on their menu has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend.
We went for brunch. Our party had the prime rib sandwich, the posh brunch, the omelet, and the shrimp and grits. Everyone loved their meals. The portions were generous, although I thought they were a little pricey. The service was outstanding. I would definitely go back.
Great meal. Cozy dining. The cheese plate is a must!
We loved it! The food was unique and creative. Had a 9pm reservation and the place was still quite noisy, but we didn't have to yell across the table.
One of the top restaurants in philly, from someone that has eaten at all the best. The service was impeccable, food phenomenal, and overall just a great evening! Start with the Parker house rolls, and move onto the steak with potato wedges. You will not be disappointed
Orlando was a really nice guy and a great waiter!
Way too loud though
The branzino is a must!!! We get it every time we go!!!
A very lively place. The food is good but not great. The service was really god.
The noise level is very high.
All in all a nice dining experience.
Took my husband there on his birthday. Was wonderful. Food was great as was the service.
I had the clam chowder and radish salad and it was delicious. The service was good and it was a bright space with low noise level. I'd definitely go back!
