The Lobster Club
It's a great party whether you're three, six or eight. The servers are upbeat and helpful. The food is varied and delicious. The cocktails are excellent. The decor is fun. The whole vibe is one of fun. It's a great place to celebrate.
This was my first time at the lobster club, and I will definitely be back! So impressed by the quality, presentation and taste of the food, along with the stellar service. Thanks for a great evening.
Lovely restaurant! Food was amazing and the staff was wonderful.
Funny how karma works. 9 months ago this was the hottest place in town. Couldn’t get in without planning well in advance. I went and liked the food and service but haven’t been back until now. Went this week (Jan 2019) and it’s empty. It’s a Tuesday, but still. Food is good, service is good, space is cool. So why I wonder? Well, when I went previously we had a 7:30 (I think) reservation. They’re running a bit late. Half an hour later asked the hostess when we could expect to be seated and she pointed to a banquette and said “they’re cleaning your table right now should just be a few minutes”. Great. But. A big shot walks in, 60 year old alpha male, $4,000 suit and two twenty something girls in tow. They proceed to be seated immediately, at, wait for it, MY table. Asked the hostess what up and she said that she made a mistake that it was not in fact our table after all but we should be seated in a few minutes. Which we were. I understand treating big shots well and I understand sometimes you’re running a bit late. But it wasn’t right so I didn’t go back until now. And, a friend of mine had a similar experience. You have to treat people right, because the big shot’s money isn’t any better than mine and you actually never know who’s going to turn into the regular. Or not.
Fantastic restaurant with world class decor. Excellent service, incredible menu. Pricey, but a perfect date restaurant. And, you must try the dessert their dessert that is beyond description: it's a flavored shaved ice concoction with Mascarpone cheese and some other sweet ingredients that is perfect for sharing.
Incredible food, ambience, music and great service.
Fabulous restaurant. Beautiful decor. Great vibe- not stuffy but not too clubby. Food is delicious and beautifully presented. Amazing service with warmth and elegance. Super pricey but it’s a special place and not for every day. Highly recommend for a fabulous experience.
Everything was excellent but it is not good value. 225 for 2 for lunch is over the top when no drinks were included
Great ambiance. Great food.
It was great
The place was freezing inside.
Excellent food. All had Lobster Club lunch- delicious - and decent portion for lunch.
The lobster club is great, however the hostess at the front could be much more friendly.
I was celebrating my wife birthday, overall we had a great experience. The only let down was that the food was good and I was expecting great.
Yummy but pricey. Always enjoy coming here snd service is always excellent
Overall experience was good.
Food is pricey and the portion size on the smaller size for the cost, but the quality is top notch.
This was my first visit to The Lobster Club since the re-branding - well done by Major Food Group ("MFG")!
Stylishly designed, well-lit with ample room between tables - it was easy to hold a business conversation.
In the Seagram Building's basement ... Lobster Club is convenient for business breakfast and lunch.
The service was good and the food was delicious ... while it is not "cheap", you get a lot for your dollar.
The Lobster Club has none of the precious attitude that diminishes the experience at some MFG locations.
This is a good meal, with good service, in fun space, in a convenient location ... all at high but fair prices.
The service and food is impeccable!
We were recommended to this restaurant for the whole grilled lobster and we looked at the menu on Open Table and read that the lobster was $79. When we were at the restaurant the lobster was MP (market price) but we did not ask the price as we relied upon the menu on Open Table. When we got the bill we saw that the lobster was $135 and this was a shock. Everyone should be warned that they must ask the price of everything before ordering. Except for that item everything was delicious including the lobster dumplings and the terriyaki salmon. We will return to the restaurant as it is a beautiful environment but we will forego ordering the lobster.
Not many choices for rolls and hand rolls ,too spicy ,expensive ,mojito not the best.
The place is beautiful service amazing
Food was excellent as always and I love the lunch bento boxes. Service is always very attentive; however, each time i come for lunch, and we order an appetizer, all the food comes out at once which makes you feel like they are trying to rush you out. Otherwise, it’s a great experience and food.
Food, drink and music are great. Went for the A5 beef and it was good initially but served on a cold plate, After a few minutes the beef became cold and wasn't as flavorful in my opinion. Having a warm plate would have kept the meat warm and allowed us to truly enjoy the experience.
Delicious!! Very nice place
We really like lobster club, the reception team was very helpful and kind, food was ecxellant,we may think to go there again.
Great flavors. Beautifully presented. Need to return!
Really beautiful restaurant, with many authentic Japanese dishes. Great bar (and bartender). The sushi choices are somewhat limited (very few specialty roles), however, the sushi was fantastic. Very fresh and beautifully presented. Prices are little higher than some the other Japanese restaurants in the area but the restaurant ambience is great. Highly recommended.
Wonderful as always! Tuna and Chiles is beyond amazing and the Wagyu is a star. Thank you and look forward to making this a usual spot.
We came for dinner for the 3rd time and this time brought our grown children and the experience was just wonderful ! The food was delicious and the ambiance is very sophisticated and cool at the same time. Our server Andrew was the highlight of the evening! He was helpful and friendly and we all had a great time with him-hope he felt the same as our sake was flowing!
Thanks for a great time!
I took my wife for a pre-theater meal and it was simply fantastic. Great atmosphere, superb food, and excellent service.
Love the bento box presentation but wish the server was a bit more accommodating on the side cucumber salad. Doctor told me to avoid spicy food due to health condition but the kitchen couldn’t switch the spicy cucumber salad for a few slides of raw cucumber...
Outstanding food, service and staff as always. Love this place and absolutely the best steak anywhere. Back here every chance I get and never been disappointed. Great find and a hidden gem. Thanks for a great meal!
Nice place, good service, butThey didn't have what they offer in the menú, no tiger prawn, no scallops and no short rib. The wasabi lobster was delicious
Loved the surf and turf roll... Changed my life
Had the best time, but barely saw our waiter
We shared several small plates instead of a traditionally coursed dinner- the prices were high and the serving sizes all over the map- so be sure to ask server for some guidance in ordering, since it is hard to judge the quantity of food food you will actually be getting.
On the plus side, we were pleased with everything we ordered- the tuna appetizer, lobster dumplings, salmon roll, lemongrass short rib, coconut shrimp, daily specials of beef fried rice and chicken . On the down side- the restaurant was really noisy and tables along the long booth wall were extremely close together-in addition some prices, e.g. lamb chops priced at $25 per piece seemed a bit ridiculous even for Manhattan.
Absolutely outstanding food, service and staff. Everything I tried was delicious! Highly recommended and have my reservation set for next week already.
The food was very light and expensive
Love the restaurant just too noisy.
