   A big fan and regular to the ivy in the lanes. Yesterday I was disappointed with the usually exceptional service. Asked 3 times for more cream and jam and had to get up to ask myself in the end. I had taken my friend for her birthday and where you usually would get a special treat, not given. Food was delicious tho just the service let it down.

   Good food. Filet was perfectly cooked, ribeye was also pretty good (could have been better.) Broccoli was way overcooked. Service was good, friendly.

    Came to visit on Saturday night and had an amazing waiter called Finn. We asked to change table and he was so accommodating. He also recommended a delicious dessert….. Rum Baba which was delicious. Very charismatic young man. He deserves a special recognition.

    The food and service were very good but we were kept waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes as our table wasn’t ready at the time we had booked it for. No free drink was offered and staff seemed blasé about it, suggesting that this is a regular occurrence.

    The staff and service were excellent and friendly. The food was lovely and very nicely presented. It was my wedding anniversary and a lovely touch was the eclairs with chocolate saying Happy Anniversary. We will go again, but spoiled for choice, afternoon tea, dinner?     We booked afternoon tea for our Anniversary for Sat 3rd June... I had booked for outside but when we got there we were told we couldn't sit outside if we were just having afternoon tea. The staff behind reception seemed quite confused and we then had to wait for our table to be set up. I am also gluten and dairy free and I have to say I was disappointed with my food. My partner said his was good but we have both had better. The decor and the ambience is lovely I have to say. I think the reputation proceeds itself and I wouldn't rush back.

    Fabulous birthday surprise lunch in a wonderful environment with extremely lovely and helpfull staff. We all loved it It was however very very noisy a lot of loud ladies celebrating same as us but their volume was at maximum level we couldn't hear ourselves talk which was a shame.

    All staff were really friendly. Our waiter was amazing, we took our 7 and 2.5yr old and he made it so much easier for us. Was very accommodating even took the drinks order for the kids first and then ours, helped with splitting a meal between the two kids as well. Our 2.5yr old decided to have a tantrum mid meal, tired and hungry, no one made us feel out of place or un welcome because of this.

    The Ivy is special from the first minute you arrive until the time you leave. Everything is so professional and the service is fantastic. It feels special and it is. The food is lovely and top class.

    First time for afternoon tea ( have visited for lunch and dinner on numerous occasions) Beautifully presented but 2 problems. The cucumber and basil finger sandwich was soggy and lacked any flavour other than cucumber. The raspberry cupcake and chocolate mousse were way too sweet. Scones, jam and cream yummy. Patisserie would be better than desserts.

    The toilets were beautiful, the cleaners must be amazing too! Waiting and bar staff are great! But don't say "water for the table" and expect tap water, this place is fancy so explicitly say tap water. The cocktail makers are very talented. Most cocktails are disappointing in other bars, they taste decent here. Food was varied and high quality.

    On the whole very good. Sandwiches were ok but not great. One small pot of cream for 4 scones in not enough. A separate pot of hot water should be served with the pot of tea. Staff were very attentive.

    We are huge fans of The Ivy and have visited many. This one is gorgeous, however the tables are too tightly packed and it’s difficult to move around some sections in the restaurant. The waitress we had, whilst very good, she had too big a section and we had to keep reminding her to top our wine up and waited a long time to order. We had a great night and my partner got a lovely celebratory profiterole, so I’d recommend this place but with just the comments above noted.

    Poor customer service from waitresses and bar service. Food arrived quickly but waited ages for drinks. Had wine delivered after our meal had been eaten. It didn’t exceed in expectations I’m afraid

    Table late, drinks and food took time and we had a young child so overall expensive for the overall experience. OK without the children as we could sit back and drink a bottle of wine, unfortunately not this time

    Arrived 10 mins early so asked to wait at the bar ! as table not " ready"so spent £50 on drinks , not cheap ,I think this is a ploy to get customers to spend more as when shown to table there was NO evidence of the table having been used .Food very good , service very good, staff knowledgable , waitress even knowing what a gueridon was, french trained .Food cost on high side but very good and drinks very costly, £12 for gin and tonic.Total cost for five people £360 without " predinner drink" Would I return ? yes

    The hostess that greeted us was lovely and very friendly. The server who was assigned to us for the afternoon tea made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I had booked this as part of a birthday gift for my partner so it was a real shame to be treated like this. I have been going to various Ivy restaurants for about 20 years now (London, Winchester, Guildford and Brighton) and this experience has really put me off. The bread on the sandwiches and the cakes tasted stale, it's just not what I would expect from an Ivy restaurant at all. The interior is really beautiful and the drinks were good.

    Visited for afternoon tea with champagne it was beautiful. Enjoyed the food but particularly liked the champagne it was delicious. Tea was hot and plentiful in a stunning silver teapot with cup. The seating area was comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommend for a treat, it was expensive but you get what you pay for excellent service. Thank you
