   Such a nice place for lunch totally recommend sitting at the beautiful counter for lunch - we had the best time and you get to watch cocktail making. Just love the relaxed vibe this place has which most restaurants don't- decor to die for really would recommend it and great value for money.

   Needed a meal before a performance at the royal theatre. This very pleasant restaurant gave us a very nice meal at a reasonable price and service was nicely paced enabling us to get to the theatre in a reasonable time.

   I’ve been to The Ivy in Brighton on a few occasions and this was a real disappointment. The food, at best, was average, the service was surly and unfriendly. Certainly not like my experiences previously. For me they’ve taken their eye off the ball and I won’t be rushing back.

   Lovely setting but very noisy - tables too close together? We explained at the start that we wanted reasonably speedy service and, mostly, the service was good, but we did have to ask for attention a couple of times. Perhaps most people want to spin out their lunch and be left more than we did. Food was good, as always, especially the cheese souffle and the Negroni and the wines.

    Loved our first visit here. Beautiful decor and ambience. Lovely, friendly staff whose recommendations are brilliant. A beautiful meal and great value for money even with the service charge included.

    Visited for afternoon tea on mother's day. Busy as expected. Service wasn't great, we waited a fair while each time we asked for something or had to ask twice. Weren't able to swap bread due to how busy it was. Food was nice but nothing special. Good atmosphere though and accommodating of children

    Turned up on time but had to wait 15 minutes for my table. Had two tweenies with me. Hopefully that wasn't the reason people turning up for a later booking (of the same number of people) were seated first. Other customers got their coats taken and given tulips (it was mother's day), but not us. We were eventually taken to a drab back room. Think it was the room for people with kids. Very disappointing as I booked it in February. Food was mediocre.

    We were late due to traffic, and the restaurant were fantastic, even though it was Mother’s Day. We had great nibbles, great drinks and the mains were great. Everyone had different mains, and it was all agreed that the flavour, quality and portion sizes were great. Only one dessert on the table, but she loved it. Will definitely go back.

    We had a fabulous time. We were seated in the Tidal Room, so a lot quieter but you could still hear the music. Our waiter was very attentive and very polite. We had Champagne lunch, the food was exceptionally good, the ambience was perfect, the experience was wonderful. Couldn’t fault it at all. Thank you Ivy in the Lanes, an exceptional lunch experience. Will definitely recommend and revisit.

    I ordered the black cod , unfortunately it was very dry and chewy So didn’t enjoy and the Arancini was not as good as I’ve had in the pass it was tasteless 😔

    Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday lunch at The Ivy In the Lanes. The ambiance is excellent as is the service and food. None of this comes cheap though so be prepared to wince when you get the bill. All in all a special experience.

    Service was under par. We were not asked to store our coats in the cloakroom, despite this being an option for other guests. Asked for tap water for the table, it never arrived. The wrong sauces came out with our steaks - not a problem but it took some time for the correct sauces to arrive by which point our food was not particularly warm. In any case, the sauces were cold. Desserts were fine. Seating felt uncomfortable as they have cramed so many tables into a tiny space, the result of which being that you felt as though you were intruding on another table's meal or vice versa. Our waiter was pleasant enough although appeared a little judgemental and condescending at our decision to skip starters and go straight to mains (!) A nice enough experience but a little sub par. We won't be in a hurry to return

    Service was of a high standard and food was good. However the restaurant was incredibly noisy and loud making it impossible to talk to anyone other than your immediate neighbour. We had a small round table for 4 but conversation with the person opposite was impossible.

    My wife’s birthday and everything was great service was spot on food and drinks lovely. Then things went down hill. We were seated in the room right at the back which was fine , in fact it felt like we had a personal waiter, then as the evening went on the other dinners all left that area and we was left on our own. Our glasses became empty and not a waiter in sight to ask for a refill. We decided not to wait for another drink and instead get our bill and leave, yet still no sign of any staff, in the end my wife had to go into the main eating area to find a member of staff to get our bill. A very disappointing end to the evening.
