Unhappy about the discrepancy service charge as felt it wasnt made clear enough. We were charged for 2 items we never ordered so got these removed. Despite slow service left our waiter a good cash tip as didn't know about a service charge. Feel it's expensive enough without that

Had a lovely lunch- great choice from the Social Menu and the À la Carte. We had the duck salad, cheese souflee followed by blackened cod and herb crusted hake with sides. Everything was perfect. Staff were attentative and friendly. The lovely dessert gesture for the birthday celebration added to the occasion. It was our fisrt time dining here and we would definitely return.

Lovely venue and the restaurant looks great; we were shoe horned into a corner section with 4 tables where 3 would have been better. The food was ok, but for the prices I don’t think it compares to other places. Certainly not what I’d call fine dining. I think you are really just paying for the name and the venue. The food had a feel and quality of something you’d expect from a chain restaurant. Service was good though.

Food great, service was great, tables for 2 too close together ruined the atmosphere and there was no toilet roll in the ladies toilet

I've been a few times and always had a lovely experience. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the food was very disappointing. I ordered the fish and chips. The batter was soggy and the chips tasted as if they had been fried one time too many or perhaps they were coated in something. Either way, they were not palatable.

The Ivy Belfast is an experience. Great location looking out at City Hall, and the decor is beautiful, complemented by well-presented and friendly helpful staff. The set Taste of Ireland menu is good value, with the option of a glass of wine for £5. It’s worth the climb up three sets of stairs to see the private dining room and the ladies toilets. It was appreciated that the member of staff recognised the occasion and marked it with a complimentary chocolate cake
