   the food , the drinks and the atmosphere was really great and the prices were reasonable. my only critique would be the server who was over eager to clear away our dishes when we had not yet finished and on several occasions would pick up our plates and then have to put them back down.

   Amazing evening. We have eaten at the original Ivy but Asia Ivy was 100 times better. From the moment you walk in the first thing you notice is the amazing decor. Then we heard and saw the DJ that plays amazing music all evening to add to the experience. We had heard the service was poor, but on our visit we could not fault the service at all. From the waiter explaining the menu and making some suggestions. We would definitely recommend the duck, as not only did it taste amazing the way its presented is brilliant. Once we finished our meal we were enjoying the atmosphere so much we stayed for more drinks at the table. It felt like we were in a club, the music was so good. Excellent value for money. We had a bottle of wine, 2 cocktails, duck and 3 dishes and it was £159. Can't fault the staff. They were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely be going back and recommending to friends

   The decor is the most interesting thing in Asia Ivy... very lovely. The food is not better than the local Gars Chinese restaurant, which is also a lot cheaper. The Asia is therefore not good value. Cocktails seem to be good but vastly overpriced. The strange bass-driven music combined with loud voices and raucous laughter make it very difficult to have a conversation and more like a night club than a restaurant. Not very relaxing for one's digestion ! !

   Thoroughly enjoyable experience throughout. The only thing that would stop me returning is the music volume. We did discuss returning with several family member to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary but we decided that with the background volume it would be impossible to hear each other .

    We were celebrating my friend’s 60th birthday. The decor of the restaurant is amazing. The service was impeccable, however I was disappointed with the food. The way in which the food is served is lovely, again creating a very special ambiance. However I was expecting some different dishes on the menu. The quality of what we did eat was good, but once again, I had expected some different dishes & tastier not just “chilli added” to spice up the dish. The Tempura prawns were good prawns but the batter lacked taste. Your menu states the dishes are “sharing dishes” but are served with odd amounts, e.g. 5 prawns & 3 Satay chicken skewers? We did enjoy the experience & I would return but probably not specifically to eat. I would like to Thank the staff for their impeccable service. Sue Jennings

    The experience of the Ivy was again an excellent venue for a special occasion. The experience of having to book a table via OpenTable was one of the worst that I have ever experience and I sincerely hope that The Ivy see sense & dump OpenTable. Trying to book through the OpenTable app. was frustrating as the service seemed to be down for over 24 hours and when I phoned the Ivy they could not take a booking as they could not see the current availability through OpenTable. Even worse was the Scam that OpenTable now operates when they send an SMS the day before the booking asking you to confirm your intended attending of your booking . What they don’t tell you is that your response will be via a chargeable Premium message and your call will be charged to you at an unspecified rate. In effect to scam you for any sum they want to take from you. Under no circumstances will I ever trust or use OpenTable again as the have revealed themselves as an unethical company. I am not the only person to feel aggrieved about this underhand practice. As a visit to The Ivy can cost over £100 per head and as the cost benefit of using an application such as this is with the restaurant I don’t expect to pay anything for booking. OpenTable certainly took some shine of the experience and reflects badly on those restaurants using them.

    This dining experience was Amazing. Everything would have been 5/5 BUT I felt that £53 for a bottle of Prosecco was a bit steep and although we loved the Club Vibe you couldn’t really have a conversation which was OK as we were there for the experience and the food which was as I say First class.

    The staff were fabulous, very attentive but not intrusive. We were sat at the Sushi bar as we booked last minute but this didn’t matter, it was actually great watching the Sushi Chef’s! Thank you for a lovely evening.

    Had Champagne afternoon tea. Food interesting well presented. Liked it all except brownie encased in white chocolate, the brownie was far too rich even without the chocolate. Lovely setting Unfortunately service exceptionally slow. It was a quiet afternoon but we did not receive any food for half an hour. It was at least 15 mins before we received a drink. No clean plates for sweet items. Had to request spoons for cheesecake, not sure how we were expected to eat it otherwise . A great shame as we had been looking forward to this but poor service marred the experience.

    Lovely food & service but DJ was too loud. Most disappointing was being so rushed. We only had 2 hours 15 mins & felt rushed from the start, so wasn’t relaxing. When spending so much on a meal you want to be able to enjoy it. And friends had travelled from Dorset & Kent to be there. We would have stayed & spent more but got shoved out at 10pm. Really disappointing

    Food was really nice, but small portions. £10 for two tiny skewers. Food came out quickly. Decor and setting is lovely. Service we felt was poor. We were sat down at our table 25 minutes later than we had booked and immediately told what time we had to be finished and out by. We ordered a few dishes to start with and when they were cleared we were told the dessert menus would be brought over, even though we hadn’t had a main course yet. When questioned we were told that we should have ordered all the food we wanted in one go, which wasn’t explained when we said we hadn’t visited before or whilst ordering. We have eaten at other similar places and have never had to do that. We ordered the mains and overheard the staff telling each other that our table wouldn’t be back on time. The table next to us had the exact same and were told twice that they needed to decide what they want quicker because they need the table back at a certain time. It just comes across quite rude when you’re spending that sort of money on a nice meal out and are made to wait for your table in the first place. The whole experience was massively let down by feeling rushed and pressured to eat and get out so somebody else could have your table.

    My partner and I were very excited for this meal but was met with disappointment. The food was very mediocre, we have ate at similar priced/cuisine restaurants e.g Tattu and experienced a much higher quality of food. Everything tasted nice but nothing special. Our food also came out at different times meaning we weren’t eating together. I’d definitely return for cocktails but that is it

    It’s our second time to ivy Asia and again the food was unreal, absolutely delicious. Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. It was my husbands Birthday and they even brought out a little Birthday pudding, what a lovely kind touch to our evening. We will be back again. Thank you ❤️

    Dear Sirs Tried to find where to send a COMPLAINT on the IVY website but couldn't .. .. .. - we LEFT before sitting down as the MUSIC WAS SO VERY LOUD - LOUD, LIKE DISCO LOUD !! - we came to eat & were looking forward to enjoying wonderful Asian food and TO TALK TO EACH OTHER but we had to SHOUT, even when standing at the bar waiting to be seated On arriving, we questioned if there might be a quieter corner & we were worried about how loud the music was THEN we were given a table right next to the DJ !! On booking we had requested a quiet/corner table as two were deaf, which I again requested on confirming the table the day before IF YOUR POLICY IS TO HAVE SUCH LOUD MUSIC on a Friday night you should NOT have accepted my booking - after 3 requests for a quiet table On our previous lunch visits at your restaurant, the music was NOT loud ! I cannot tell you how disappointed we were, even with a few weeks notice you were only able to offer a table at 9.30pm fortunately it wasn't a "special" occasion - BUT all the local kitchens closed at ten - we walked to 5 or more than 6? other restaurants before Pizza Express finally accepted us Totally blaming our extremely unhappy situation on IVY ASIA - after a very much looked forward to evening with 3 friends from London & New York I will try again to find your IVY website to send my complaint to, as I am extremely unhappy after being a very contented customer for years (many many, meals at West Street, as far back as the 1980's) and having our wedding lunch at Ivy, Kings Road - we felt we were very badly let down by your restaurant - your staff didn't seem at all bothered & said it was a normal Friday night !!
