A great historic pub to visit with fabulous traditional pub food and good ales. It was very busy and crowded so may explain why service was a little slow.

We had a lovely meal at the Fleece, we will be back sometime. Small niggle, we sat in a back room by the window and it was cold.

We had 3 meals, 2 were very nice indeed however our 3rd meal which was a lamb chop was very tough and not edible. However saying this the staff were very apologetic and this meal was taken off our bill.

I know the Fleece well as I originate from Bretforton but I must say I was disappointed at the table we were given. Crammed into the corner of the pewter room. Luckily the window was open for fresh air. But felt a bit clostrphobic also felt the room so small that everyone could hear your conversation ,and as this was a social thing it was a bit awkward. Also my lamb pie had hardly any lamb or flavour but the beef pie my partner had was lovely.

Booked lunch for 4 on a Monday and was surprised to see how busy it was. We were in no particular hurry which was just as well as service was not particularly fast. When you consider the number of customers and the quality of the food coming out of the kitchen I think the chef must have been working his socks off! Great atmosphere, fantastic building, friendly staff and great food in this small village makes this a great venue.

I had the pork on Sunday. It was very good but for the potatoes which tasted a little old and stale I'm sorry to say. There is an option to add more meat but I do feel a little more with the standard choice would've been good especially considering the beef roast comes with a lot more. Asparagus excellent if a little overpriced. First round was amazing, second round we had a lot of small thin pieces that got crowded a little too much by the salt. But thoroughly recommend!

Fantastic place, good atmosphere, lovely location. The food is very good but the service can be hit and miss. Sometimes absolutely fine, other times staff simply wander past and seemingly never seem aware you are there. Just need to use those quieter moments for everyone to work on being a bit more aware and attentive as it's things like this that put people off wanting to come back. And that's such a shame to risk as it otherwise ticking all the boxes brilliantly. Just a bit more consistency. Nigel, again, don't leave your customers wondering why they are not being seen and served.

Parking can be a problem but we always find somewhere. The menu currently has lots of asparagus dishes to celebrate the season and these shouldn’t be missed

This is not a fast food joint, so don't expect to be in and out in a short time. This is a place to take your time and enjoy the surroundings. The welcome and service from the young ladies was first class. Our drinks were served promptly and the food came after a reasonable time. The starters were great with fresh local ingredients. The landlord came to chat between courses and was extremely friendly. The main courses were excellent examples of honest home cooking with extremely generous portions. All in all, a very good experience. The folk gig afterwards was the icing on the cake!
