Wasn’t expecting to much having looked a previous reviews. However we had a lovely meal everything we had was delicious and we’ll presented, the service was good and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Service was a bit slow but that was to be expected as the bar and restaurant were both very busy and there was a new waitress being trained so no complaints, it actually gave us time to talk between courses. Overall a great night we will be returning soon.

The food used to be very good but seems pretty ordinary these days. My chips were soggy and tasteless. My husband’s fried chicken was not fried, but the stuffing was tasty. Too bad there was only a teaspoon of it. Insufficient staff meant we had to keep asking for the bill and finally had to go to the bar to pay. And it used to be so good! There was also no record of our booking a table.

A bit disappointed this time with the small beef fillet salad. It was mainly onion!!! Other meals were up to usual standard

Nice lunch out - took my elderly father-in-law and they were very good with managing his mobility issues. Enjoyed the beer too.

Food is excellent, lively, good vibe. Service was a bit lapse, but still good. A good all round place to go out locally, better than the pubs in the area. Good place with a mix of people, well behaved and everyone enjoying themselves, staff are friendly too.

We booked for midday and were the only people in the restaurant. We were given the wrong menus to start with. The first bottle of wine we ordered they didn’t have so we chose another bottle which we had to wait 20 minutes for as the manager was trying to locate it in the cellar. The starters were fine. There were 3 of us and 2 of the mains were brought out while one was still eating his starter and all the used starter plates were on the table. I had to instruct the waiter to put the plates down on the next table while he removed our starter plates so he could then give us our mains. We were asked, after we finished our main course if we wanted to see the desert menu. We declined but ordered a glass of wine, a coffee and a cocktail. After 25 minutes wait we cancelled the drinks order as we had a train to catch. The last time we went there, about a year ago the service and lack of wine (they didn’t have 2 different bottles listed on their wine menu) was just as bad. I would not go there to eat again.
