   Food and service were outstanding! Our only possible distraction was the loud group at the table next to us discussing such topics as toilet paper in dorms and wisdom tooth surgery loud enough to be heard over our own private conversation.

   My friends and I went out for dinner during Howard County Restaurant Week. We chose this restaurant because the menu looked so creative and different. We liked almost all the dishes. The chestnut soup, goat cheese appetizer, and grilled endive/fennel/shrimp/blood orange salad were delicious. The steak and chicken cacciatore entrees were good. And we all loved the frangipane tart with pear and persimmon!

    This is a great place to eat for an intimate atmosphere, cozy surroundings, and family feeling. Our server, Parish was attentive and made us feel our wish was his command :o) We will return.

    This was one of the best dining experiences in the Baltimore area my wife have had in a long time. The staff could not have been nicer and more knowledgeable. The ambiance was perfect. The food was delicious.

    We found this restaurant on open table and new nothing about it. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. Very quaint with excellent food. Definitely recommend and will go back when I’m in the area.

    I asked for a taste of the Cream of Baltimore soup to see if I wanted to order a $12 bowl, as the waiter, nice guy, was unable to accurately articulate the flavors. I didn't want to waste a bowl of their soup and my $12. The waiter obliged and delivered a sample. There was no mention that I would be CHARGED $4 for it. That was completely uncalled for and ruined what was otherwise an ok meal. On a side note, the restaurant is in need of a major refresh. The 80's called and want their decor back.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our NYE dinner. There were plenty of options on their prix-fixe menu everything was executed well. The timing of the dishes from the kitchen was spot on. We enjoyed the charcuterie plate, wild game pate, cream of baltimore soup, smoked duck breast salad, bison filet mignon and the stuffed chicken breast. I thought the service was a bit pushy, but the food definitely made up for it. This is one of many great experiences we've had here over the years and I'm sure we'll keep coming back.

    Wonderful dinner for New Years Eve. There was a special menu with a choice of 3, 4, or 5 courses - lots of delicious options. We sat by the fireplace in a beautifully restored room. We always enjoy this restaurant but this dinner was especially nice. Loved it!

    Great experience as always with awesome service, amazing food and good company. The lobster and shrimp bisque was great, a little cayenne pepper made the spice pop just enough. The filet mignon was cooked just right and was very tender. The veggies were fresh and I believe from their garden on site. The cocktails were a little basic so I would suggest going with wine as they have a good wine list. As usual, great experience.

    The food was delicious, me & my date sat upstairs at a table for 2. Our server was very energetic, very comical as well great energy. I had the steak with au gratin potatoes. Which by the way was very delicious, The chef personally stopped by, & we exchanged a few words. My date ordered well done for her steak, but a part of the steak was too bloody wasn’t really cooked all the way. Everything else was wonderful overall. We also took pictures 🙏🏾.

    After a long work day, to take a leadership team to a local, high-end restaurant where we could enjoy cocktails, a wonderful dinner with attentive, engaging and expert service, where it was quiet enough to talk at a normal level, in a lovely setting-- what more could one possibly ask? Oh, the food was perfectly prepared, from the lamb shank to the duck gnocchi to the sauteed shrimp and beef potpie, complemented by the lobster bisque and french onion soup. The suggested wine pairings were perfect, and the desserts: blood-orange parfait, maple bourbon crème brulee and bread pudding wrapped up a remarkable business dinner that we all truly appreciated. The restaurant was very busy but everything was perfectly timed, the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff ensured we were well taken care of. Thank you!

    Impeccably attentive and friendly service. The best service in my opinion and I have traveled the world in my 51 yrs. Food just as delicious and properly proportioned -- drinks to pair and dessert that was succulent. Thank you for a wonderful evening for 7.

    Excellent experience, highlights were the service, ambiance and overall friendliness of the staff. The pork chops were quite good, loved the combination of the honey nut squash and the red cabbage. Crab cakes were also a hit, the only very minor non-plus was the wild rice, it could have used a bit more seasoning. It had been a while since we last visited, we won't wait so long before returning, definitely a Howard County gem.

    We've eaten at EFI many times for Thanksgiving dinner and they did a good job this year as well. There was nice selection of choices in each course. Our dinner was paced very nicely and we enjoyed everything. Jason did a nice job taking care of us. Thanks to everyone at EFI for giving us an enjoyable Thanksgiving experience.

    As we pulled up we saw the gorgeous historic manor. Our server was kind and very knowledgable. He made the meal an entire experience for the pallet and mind. We were informed of the farm to table style and local ingredients. The food was divine. Deep rich flavors and fresh ingredients. The wine pairing was done very well. We will be back for sure.

    This place is one of our favorite restaurants. The staff are amazing and attentive. The owner/chef is a great person who has great knowledge and history of the Inn and is always generous with his time to stop by the tables. The food is delicious and menu is different each time we have eaten here. Will be make many more trips here and look forward to another great meal and conversations with the owner and staff.
