The Cricketers Warfield
I'm sure these are challenging times, but all was well-organised, friendly and the food was great.
Fabulous T-bone steak.... excellent service from Irina.... courteous distancing.... an excellent way to break lockdown!!! We will definitely be going back soon!
Excellent Sunday roast dinner. Live music entertainment and prompt friendly service.
Lovely food, good service. Unfortunately due to COVID, atmosphere was lacking as there were far fewer tables inside and it felt half empty. Not the fault of the pub/staff though.
Quality food and service as per usual. Never fault it.
We just went for drinks and reserved a table outside. The staff were really helpful, gave us excellent guidance on how to social distance, how to order drinks, find our way around etc. Overall a very re-assuring first night out! Well done The Cricketers.
Excellent food as always & excellent value What more could you ask for !!!
Very well organised, felt clean and safe and 5 of us enjoyed sitting outside a great deal.
Nice ambience, great service, I feel the Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes require some fine tuning, however overall a pleasurable experience.
Amazing food great service price fair to high but for what we had I'd of paid more ... n8ce sw8nf from a tree for kids to ..... singer in the garden which was nice touch and so added to the relaxing mood of the pub if your down that way it's a must ...
Could it fault the waitress who was so so lovely our only fault was the drinks
When ordered the prosecco the glass was only just over half way.
Then the pimms with two of those that was ordered both in same style glass however two different sizes.
Last was a beer the gentleman brought it to the table where he tipped a fair bit of it all over the table did not even apologies or clean it up.
This has put us of with returning for the time being due to the circumstances of the CV 19 as we felt we could not complain also being very busy.
Good menu, excellent service, very Covid aware. The food was excellent quality and well presented, and would recommend. Only negative was that a glass of white wine (£10.95!)was not what I ordered, but in these difficult times for restaurants, not the most important issue.
First visit to a pub for several months. Felt safe, staff friendly and the one way system worked well. Will visit again
All safety measures put in place, felt very safe and relaxed.
I was disappointed to find that despite lovely service, a simple burger and fries cost £15 per person at this pub. With one drink each and a pud, the bill came to £55.00 for two people which for an average pub, midweek, seems way too much to me. Sadly, this costly experience has not encouraged us to eat out going forward!
Lovely Sunday lunch after few months being stuck at home . Food was good and tables well spaced out . We enjoyed our lunch.
Really welcoming and lots of effort made for making us feel safe during Covid ... Food was a let down though.. was looking forward to a succulent Sunday roast and I was disappointed.. potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were overdone/ possibly reheated.. will probably not visit again to eat maybe just a drink in the garden.
Very well organised post lockdown to keep customers safe. Food And beer great. Excellent And courteous service.
Didn't have what I wanted to order so had to have different meal ,which came with fries with skins on I got chunky chips, ordered drink for my nephew didn't have it ,didn't come with enough cutlery so had to wait for them to bring more so food got colder as was only luke warm in first place . Should have an area where people can smoke as was allowed to smoke everywhere. As I have two of my party with Asthma wasnt great getting a waff of smoke when trying to eat. But food was out quickly didn't take for ever and pudding were nice .
Loved everything about our visit apart from drinkers in the restaurant area with dirty work clothes but they have taken out so many tables to keep us safe I guess that’s fair
Fabulous service and very friendly staff - quite expensive but hey, I live in the Midlands 🤣
Had one of the best club sandwiches ever. It was so filling and tasty.
First time I’ve been back to The Cricketers for a while. Nicely laid out and table ready as booked. Service was good but slow..... we had two 7 year old with us and waiting more than 40 minutes for food was a tad too long. Have to say once it did arrive the food was very good! Service was polite and no problems with our lunch aside from slowness. The rugby was showing at the bar so a bit noisier than normal but wasn’t a problem at all.
Prompt service, ambience and great food, what more could you ask for?
What food we had was very nice, although we only had an open sandwich
We had intermittent service. We had to catch people’s attention to order things. Our starters were great but then we had to wait ages for our mains and 2 weren’t very good. The venison Pasta seemed like it had been under a heat lamp for a while as all dried out. The roast chicken wasn’t very flavoursome, the veg was very hard. Garvey watery and roast potatoes not that crispy.
We have been to The Cricketers many times and always had good service and good food that's fairly priced. Recommend to anyone....
Lovely location and great food we eat regularly here
Very friendly and helpful service, excellent food. Lovely setting. Our friends were very impressed
The only thing we didn't like were 3 males having a punch up in the car park at we walked in.
Otherwise a lovely happy and tasty experience!
Service was bad considering there were only a few tables dining when we arrived. I had to go and ask one of the waiters for service. No drinks menu at the table and the food was average. Camembert starter is hugely overpriced (£14), only £1 cheaper than the burger (with chips) on the menu! Also sourdough is advertised but it was served with French stick. Blue cheese croquettes were very small and were more like balls of deep fried cheese. Nice ambience but very disappointing otherwise.
Good food, client enjoyed it as did we. Would recommend.
We waited 1 and half hours for our food. We were squished a small table so much so my granddaughter was in her car seat on the floor with people walking past with hot food, we asked to be moved and no help was offered. One of our party asked for extra roast potatoes with his meal and received 1 extra and was charged £1 for this. A £15 service charge was added to the bill, which in hindsight I wish we had not paid as we did not receive good service. We had a table of 15 near us who were very noisy, we couldn’t hear ourselves speak. All in all it was not a pleasurable lunch.
Enjoyed an excellent Sunday Lunch with good service. It’s our first time, but we will be back
We were disappointed in waiting 1 hour 15mins for our main course. I’d told them it was my birthday lunch and we had two children with us but the waitress put one starter through and we waited and waited until we were fed up. We had to ask 3 times when when our food would arrive to be told as we’d ordered one garlic bread for my son, the kitchen then delayed everyone’s main. Who takes an hour and 15 mins to eat half a sliced baguette? This is not acceptable as the waitress should have informed the kitchen OR us to advise this would happen, especially as we’d initially asked to have the starter alongside the mains at the same time. Poor service and attention to customer.
However, they were very attentive to the table next to us who they clearly knew and served them a good 40mins before us despite the fact they’d arrived 15mins after us.
Charming establishment. On a wild winters day it was welcoming. Good service and an excellent roast lunch.
Excellent Sunday Roast with generous portions. You’ll need to order a side of parsnips though, which aren’t included. Great food and excellent service 😃
Poor service , took 40 minutes for order to arrive even though the restaurant was not busy. Ordered the pork Sunday lunch which comprised of a small piece of fat, appreciate that it's pork belly but hardly any meat . Shame because we like this place and visit quite regularly.
Brilliant as per norm x
Good as always
