Locally owned and operated for over thirty years, the Chart Room Restaurant offers an array of fresh seafood, steaks and more. Try the Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut while enjoying the expansive views of Frenchman's Bay in Hulls Cove. Nestled along the water's edge just two miles from the heart of Bar Harbor, the Chart Room is a classic Maine seafood dining experience that is a favorite of visitors and locals alike! With a full bar, plenty of outdoor seating, cozy tables for two as well as space for your large group gathering, the Chart Room has it all. Enjoy local oysters and cocktails while seated at our new pier, or dine inside on a 12oz prime rib while overlooking the changing tide. We take a limited amount of reservations so that way walk in guests are still able to join us.

The food was par for the course in a tourist destination. It wasn’t terrible but not what we expected. The server never made us feel welcomed, brought the entrees about 3 minutes after the appetizer and so on.

Location, staff and ambiance were great. Was not impressed with the food quality. We had the signature halibut dish and grilled scallops. Booked based on previous Maine travel site recommendations. Food quality vs price was not there for our visit.

Didn't really meet expectations. Staff was friendly (host & server). Food was the main problem: seriously under-cooked baked potato & butternut squash. Server took his time checking back after the food was delivered. Replacement potato was fine. Cioppino was served w/o side bowl for shells, so I stacked empty oyster/mussels on the table, with a nice puddle spreading from the pile. When our server finally checked back to see how we were doing, he bare-handed the pile instead of bringing a bowl. Gross!

We enjoyed our meal so much on Thursday night that we came again on Saturday. I had my heart set on lobster mac n cheese (and they ran out Thursday.) It turns out, the seafood linguine was even better (to me). Our server was amazing…he was helpful, friendly, and we never wanted for anything! It’s a wonderful place with delicious food and beautiful views.

The food was delicious with a variety of choices. Our waitress was very helpful, friendly and kind. It was a wonderful place that I’d revisit any time I had the opportunity!
