   It was my wife, and I's 27th Wedding Anniversary, and I wanted to take my wife to someone where never been to before. To my surprise, she was blown away by the ambiance in this hidden jewel. She couldn't figure out how I found such a beautiful place. It was laborious; however, it was well worth it. The Boathouse at Sunday Park is the most beautiful place my wife and I frequent. We will tell all of our friends and family about this gorgeous retreat. The Boathouse at Sunday Park will be my wife and my new favorite place for fantastic dining, great staff, and the most breathe taking views. By the way, my wife and I want to praise to Xaveria, who provided excellent customer service, a beautiful smile, and a friendly conversation. Xaveria made my wife, and I's anniversary one to remember.

   Don't understand how we were 5 minutes early but could not be seated until the 2 remaining out of 5 arrived. Was the first to order a drink and the last to receive it after having to ask where it was. Food was ok, way over priced in my opinion. Don't like the automatic 20%. Have only had a sit down dinner here once before and not my first choice.

   My fiancée and I were celebrating her birthday and just wanted some drinks and good food. Our server was named, Savannah. She was great. Very attentive and checked on us often. It was a beautiful day and wonderful time all around. Will be back!

   Two hairs in food, inedible fried asparagus that was spit out by three out of four of us, two cocktails weren’t available (3rd order was finally available), the service was so slow…it was 15 minutes till we got our water, they ran out of glasses for water, we had waited another 20 minutes after our water came for our cocktails, they tried to take our menus away and we hadn’t even ordered food after being there for an hour. All in all it’s very obvious that the Boathouse has fully fallen on its former glory and has stopped trying to be in the business of serving clean and efficient food. It was a $287 mistake. We arrived at 6:15 and couldn’t leave till close to 9…the service was that slow. The floor of the deck was covered in filth and litter through the night and NO ONE was cleaning it up, we had to step over wads of trash when we finally were able to leave. Our waitress kept disappearing and we saw multiple tables and parties around us come and go as we sat there waiting. I just wanted to have a special Mother’s Day meal for my mom that we almost lost to a stroke 5 months ago. It was supposed to be a special night and it was horrible. Do better.

   Very disappointing as one in our party received a cold omelette. We could not get our server’s attention so we told the hostess. Nobody came to the table to even ask us how things were. The other 5 people at our table were finished eating by the time the server came to check on us. They told him it would be 30 minutes for a hot omlettte. He declined. The shrimp and grits was good but very little grits in the soupy dish. Overall very disappointing for such a lovely location.

    I’ve booked a dinner reservation outside for our anniversary dinner. Food was delicious and played it beautifully. It was a lovely evening by the water. I also loved that the attire was casual, although the meal was the quality of a fancier restaurant. The service was good, but not exceptional. Everyone was very nice, but it seemed as though a lot of college students were working they’re just out of school, so it was a tad disorganized. Overall, very enjoyable!

    Service was horrible, our waitress stopped by once to check while manager had to come out to apologize because our waitress had too many tables. The restaurant automatically charges 20% gratuity which is why the service is so poor: If you already know you’re getting 20% tip what is the incentive to hustle and be a good server?

    Disappointing beer selection. Food was very mediocre. Still hard to see what’s on bill at end on handheld machines. Ridiculous you can’t have happy hour specials from table reservations.

    Glad you asked. We were 6. The table to the back of us (6 as well) was tight seating. No aisle space for any of us. 2 of our guests couldn’t exit our table to go to the restroom without the rest of us getting up or sliding closer to the table which was close to impossible. I told the staff about that situation when we left. They seem to understand the problem and yet proceed to seat the same way. Why you seat people like that is beyond me. There was ample seating for them or us on the same ground level. The artichoke/crab app is not worth the price. That small portion is a joke. Hush puppies very good and quite shareable. Our meals were fine.

    My wife had a bug in her drink (mixed drink). When we spoke with the Maneger about it she had a very poor attitude and kept trying to tel us, it’s an out door restaurant. And we were lucky it wasn’t a hair. We told her we no longer wanted the meal ( which we had not even touched, and she threatened us with the police. My wife told her go ahead and call and gave our license plate number to her. We have had issues there the past 2 times and won’t ever be going back

    I was rather disappointed at the selection of food for the price associated with their buffet. Because it was Mother’s Day they were only serving a buffet which was $68/person plus a 20% gratuity. Being that I had eaten at one of the other restaurants before I was expecting a better quality meal. What they served I could have gotten at any low budget buffet and it would not have cost me $300 for 3 people. I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!

    Dined on Mother’s Day Sunday, which will be the last time. Were taken to our lovely table and ordered drinks, which took way too long to arrive, waitress Asya returned to our table and told us we could go get our food… confused we asked if we could order, she replied and said it is a buffet only. Not being told this prior to our reservation was bad enough, then not being told the price or process while waiting at the table was just disappointing. Once I asked for the price, we were SHOCKED that the mediocre buffet food cost $65+ per person. Absolutely dreadful experience.

    We attended Mother’s Day brunch. I reserved a table three weeks in advance. I specified that I would like a window table upstairs and needed a high chair. They took none of those notes into consideration and seated us in the back, dark corner booth next to an office and stairs with no view of anything. When asked if they look at the notes made when a reservation is made the hostess replied “only when it says person in party cannot use stairs”. I did not spend $200 to feel infant shamed in a dark corner. Once we complained they did move us to a better seat. The food was mediocre at best.

    If i could give 0 stars i would. The service was absolutely terrible. We received our meals at completely different times (2 meals and then the other 4 meals 40 min later, when they were all ordered at the same time). We received meals before salads and warm beers 20 min after receiving appetizers (ordered at the same time). The manager blamed the server for mistakes, didn’t apologize, and was rude and disrespectful. It was an absolutely terrible experience. We have not been in about a year because of terrible service, and now we will not be back again. What a shame such a beautiful establishment has been run into the ground. The management needs a completely new staff.

    We arrived at 4 pm. Went to bar area had drinks and appetizer until 4:45 happy hour was 4-6pm. At 4:45 we went to table 15 feet from bar. We proceeded to order more drinks and appetizers but we were told the happy hour price was not good at our table. We should have walked to bar and ordered drink and brought them back to table. Happy hour is 4 to 6. If you are in the restaurant you should get that price period. I be paid an extra $50 sitting a few feet from bar. Definitely not right

    The setting is great! The food is OK. The service - needs improvement. I asks our server twice for some extra salad dressing - he didn't bring it. I finally asked a different server - he did bring some. Also, there is a 20% tip added to the bill. It's called a service charge. This is the second visit that our server, when asked, would not say it was a TIP, and explained - not very well- how it was good to give extra money. Let people tip on the quality of service!!

    Disappointed about the sensitivity to people with food allergies: I was told by the waitress that anything can be made gluten free, when really what was meant is that a biscuit could be removed from the plate and not an option for gluten free biscuits. Staff was very friendly. Just assume if you have a chef he can accommodate allergies a lot better. This was our tasting for our wedding in October as well. Now I’m nervous what my options will be for my big day

    Now that Boathouse have printed menus back and attentive servers, we are very happy overall and will keep it in our future plans for frequent special meals with family and friends. The waterfront location is excellent.

    The service was pretty bad. I don't know if they are having a problem hiring wait staff or not but my waitress would disappear for long periods of time or just flat out ignore our table. The food was very average but pretty pricey. I had to send my plate of fish and chips back because I felt like it was undercooked. The environment was very nice but I wish the service and food was as good of the ambiance.
