   We dined here tonight for our wedding anniversary and we’re very disappointed. The menu is limited and two items on the menu were not available. My husband ordered the rib eye steak and said it was the worst steak he had ever had. It was tough and not eatable. I had the grouper which was very good. Waiter was not very personable. There were only a couple of other tables occupied. It seemed that the bar was very busy so maybe that is their focus. We do not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an upscale restaurant with good food.

   Sadly the quality and value for the cost has declined. $15.00 for a Bloody Mary at Brunch outrageous and cold lemon pancakes that were like cardboard unacceptable Great cheesecake Lovely Art Deco decor but overall disappointing

   Our first visit. The dining room with the high ceilings and tall windows made an impression when first entering. We were promptly greeted and as we had reservations, immediately seated. Our server, Kaitlin (sp?), was attentive without hovering. From the drink menu, I had the Black Swan, which was surprisingly not sweet. Very flavorful. We shared the season charcuterie board which was just right for 2 people. The meats were varied and so were the cheeses. I had the Terrace salad in a half serving which was very flavorful. The strawberries were large and plentiful. The white balsamic vinaigrette was not sweet and didn't drown the salad. There was just enough to bring out the flavor of the fresh vegetables. We both had the Pork Duo. The highlight of the dish was the Bourbon Sweet Potato Mash. For dessert, we both had the Sugar Biscuit Strawberry Shortcake. Plenty of fresh strawberries and the flavor and not overpoweringly sweet. The Grill has happy hour daily Monday through Friday and we plan to return to try the small bar plates and other craft cocktails. No dress code. We went business casual but there were people there who had everything from shorts and jeans to dresses.

   Severely limited menu for Saturday lunch. We had a choice of 10ish breakfast dishes, some appetizers, or 4 lunch options. We chose a $19 charcuterie item that was served on a plate with the absolute smallest portions imaginable. 4 finger-sized slices of bread, half a teaspoon of honeycomb, no advertised homeade jam, some Save-a-Lot-looking triangles of cheese, and half a handful of mixed nuts straight out of a Great Value can! Very disappointing that I took my wife there for a special birthday meal. There are many other finer dining choices in downtown Lakeland, thankfully, and we won't be returning.

    I love Terrace Grill. The place is beautiful and situated across a lake. However, the restaurant was out of chicken on a Saturday. Really? We did have Salmon and it was delicious.

    Great historic site Met most expectations but the food manager did not have a grip on the situation Ran out of tomatoes, prime rib was not refreshed and we were served from the butt well done end. Ran out of dessert choices The only dessert left when we finished dinner were chocolate pastries 😢

    Beautiful experience again at The Terrace Grill at The Terrace Hotel. Tony sister and I took our mother to the brunch and had an awesome time. The food was great (as usual) and each mother received a rose and Mimosa. We had an experience to remember forever and love this venue. If you have not been here it is a prize of Polk County. The hotel is beautiful and the food on par with over top level dining in Orlando and Tampa…Ambiance is hard to beat and then take a walk along Lake Mirror.

    Sever was good, food was priced well but cocktails weren’t superb. We had a party of 5 and we’re seated in what seemed to be a meeting/rehearsal room. Banquet style chairs and tables, not the prestige environment like the rest of the restaurant. Had a very noisy table next to us with kids running around but that’s not the restaurants fault. Overall, a little disappointed for the cost. Maybe parties of 4 or less is the way to go so you’re in a nice environment.

    Updated restaurant and bar area. Unfortunately, this place has lost its good service and special meal vibe. It is just another hotel restaurant now. Slow to cook meals, hostess forgets our menus, server forget who had what meal and drinks. Bottom line nothing special here anymore.

    Server was absent for an hour. The food was over cooked. My mushroom ravioli was crunchy it was so poorly cooked. My dates potatoes were crunchy and over cooked as well. All dishes were overly salted. Very sad about how bad this dinner was.

    Our anniversary Dinner was even better than we expected. The food was amazing. The service and atmosphere was fantastic. Truly was a night to remember. To top it off we rented a suite for the night as well. I can easily see this may become an anniversary tradition.

    Sadly it was horrible. The waitresses and management tried their best to make up for a bad situation. It took just short of an hour to get our food and other patrons were equally upset and dismayed. After all that the food was terrible...some cold and some overcooked! Party of 5! Not going back unless I read some miraculously good reviews.

    Took my sister and her parents to dinner for my sisters birthday and the meal was off the charts. Jasmin our server was excellent and the food exceptional. We had the grilled grouper (magnificent), Boursin and prosciutto stuffed chicken (fantastic), the wedge and house salad and complemented the meal with great vino. We do see with (2 each) crème brûlée with fresh berries and sugar biscuit strawberry shortcake and what a way to finish both were superb. I told two friends driving home tonight I have dined in Orlando at 3-4 5 star restaurants over the last month and they would choke if they compared their food to this amazing experience. It should be noted that I used to dine her a few times per month for perk but have not been here in three years. So glad that I decided to make the trip back to this top notch establishment.

    The Terrace Grille is no longer the hidden gem it once was, mainly because it isn't hidden anymore. The refurbishment included adding a sort of lounge area right in the restaurant, so instead of diners quietly enjoying friends and good food and wine, you may be placed near families just hanging out with their children. This makes it less calm and less romantic. Other than that and the gum-chewing hostess, the restaurant still serves very good food and the service was excellent.

    The menu has good variety, including 1/2 sized salads which was plenty with a protein added. I had the blackened shrimp on a wedge salad and it was delicious.

    I had not been aware of the Terrace Grill until I read a review. I had a special lunch to plan so I chose them. From the minute I entered the dining room I felt this was going to be a special experience. The staff was great. The food was great. Everything was above expectations.     The food is completely overpriced for what you get. This is Lakeland, not LA not New York. It’s just not worth the price and the amount of food that you get. You’re trying to make it a five star restaurant !?!? The service was good and it’s very nice ambience but you can’t eat that. If you’re going to have those prices, you should at least be able to get a salad with your entrée or sides.

    Very nice restaurant, excellent service. Normally the food is very good but maybe because this was a busy Easter brunch, the lobster bisque and egg frittata were too salty. Also, the $50 Open Table reservation fee we paid was not deducted from our bill.
