1st time there because I had a Groupon. A wonderful gem in the heart of Sussex! Got chicken +chorizo fajitas that were plentiful, fresh and a good value. Very nice indoor/outdoor atmosphere. Go now because they're going to be crowded based on location, food and service.

The food and ambiance were great! Not sure if they were super short staffed or this is their normal service model, but we did not have a server. We had to order our food through an app on our phone and get our drinks from the bar. We wanted waters and had to go to a big, orange Gatorade jug in the corner and self serve ourselves. We also then got a $4 service charge added to our bill for using a credit card (only option to pay) and asked for a tip. Not sure for what? It just wasn’t the experience we were expecting for a large group birthday occasion.

Tekelia is a modern Mexican restaurant in Sussex with an industrial feel to it. Food is good and the service was outstanding. Outdoor dining with a firepit and live music on the weekends. Recommend you visit and we will be back!

The atmosphere is amazing, especially the outdoor patio. They also have a great selection of cocktails. Unfortunately, the food is average so I'm torn about going back. Maybe just a drink on the patio with chips and guac.

Was unaware that, if you wanted to sit outside, there either was a limited menu or your entrees came in to go containers. Food was good but difficult to eat with plastic utensils. Service seemed a little scattered. The items we ordered almost went to other tables until we flagged the server down.

This new Sussex hot spot was a treat except for the food. The ambiance with the 'Day of the Dead' theme was different and catchy. The huge outdoor chair included on the patio, the large area with tables, umbrellas, benches, swing, and Latinex music piped throughout was fun. The colors inside and out done perfectly, an attentive staff and overall great ambiance. Unfortunately the food was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Drinks were great, staff were frequent but not pushy. I love eating and enjoying talk and drink outside and thankful for that. They just need attention to the menu and make the food a little more true Mexican flavor. Recommend but I'd stick to drinks and apps outside so likely will not go until next summer.

We took clients here for lunch, and we couldn’t have made a better choice. One of our party has food allergies, and to be absolutely sure that there would be no cross contamination, the woman who greeted us at the door cooked her meal. Everything was delicious, and the service was above and beyond.

Sadly one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in many years. Waitress was rude. Food was both incorrect and way below expectations. They need to focus less on decor and more or quality and service. Plastic forks and knives?? Really. Food and two drinks for a party of 3 was close to $100.00! Not even close to any kind of value for the quality. We will not go back. I wanted to like it as I have liked this owner’s other restaurants, but just could not.

Very rude waitress. We walked up to the patio and wanted a table that people were just leaving from. We asked the waitress if we could sit there once it was cleaned off. She said "I really don't care where you sit." Then she watched some people walk up and sit at the table I had just asked for, she didn't tell them it was waiting to be cleaned. When I kindly told them we were waiting, they said they were sitting at a bench which the waitress had ignored so they moved closer to get service. Also, this is a Caucasian run "Mexican" place. The menu, the staff, nor the MUSIC were indicative of Latin culture. Pure fraud. We didn't eat. After the crappy waitress and whitewashed menu and experience, we decided to avoid further disappointment. Upside: very nice patio.

Awesome atmosphere. Great place to bring kids. My husband liked his nachos. My lime margarita was delicious. I wish their salsa was better, not so sweet. Didn't taste like salsa. Tasted like tomato sauce. Will go back to try something else on the menu. Tacos were small.

The restaurant has been open for a while and I understand the issues with staffing, The staff you have on hand should take care of the customers and not worry about their phones. I was their on a busy warm Saturday night and the host was more concerned about checking his phone then helping customers. The test of the staff which look short handed was busting their butts. I will continue to go their two support a local business.

We love this place. We keep coming back and love sitting at the bar - and Utah is the best bartender. Such good food and we just love the atmosphere. Cannot wait to sit outside soon.

Fish fry was decent although pricey at 15.99. It came with Mexican rice and corn which was ok. Fajitas were very very bland. Lime blended margarita was good. When we sat down, chips and salsa were placed at the table similar to other Mexican restaurants. However, we were surprised to see a 4.99 charge on our bill for them. They did not ask if we wanted them and assumed they were free like most restaurants. The price of their food is high so surprised they charged for the chips. Service was excellent

Aside from the fact that only chicken quesadillas were offered, though the online menu offered shrimp also. I had shrimp tacos instead that were covered in cilantro, but still good. Friends had to ask several times for katsup and refills. Someone had the fish fry and raved about it. We will be back.

The rice was not very good as it had way to many vegetables in it. Green peppers, onions, garlic and diced tomatoes would have been so much better. The Margaritas would have been better had they been made fresh when ordered not something from a machine, it tasted "tinny". For us older people the music was to loud. The rest of my dinner was delicious and the staff was very competent and nice. I did enjoy the decor but think the tables would look nicer had they been wood topped and not something out of a fifties dinner. Still I will probably come back for another try.

the waitress was a bit over worked due to staff call in, she did her best given the situation. the food took over 1/2 hr to come out after our order was placed way to long. you need to watch some Bar Rescue episodes for quicker order response times.
