Our meal was great; server was inattentive; when we first arrived, noise level was acceptable with few in the dining area, but as more people arrived it became very noisy. Situation was about to become worse as a band was setting up in the next room. We could not hear each other talk near the end of our meal.
Food was delicious as always however we had 5:45 PM reservations and it took more than an hour before we got our entrees. The area of the restaurant we sat in, by the fireplace, was extremely noisy and loud and hard to have a conversation.
Teca is a nice place for a quiet lunch with friends. Unfortunately this time the waiter a accidentally spilled to full glasses of soda on me. While I understand things happen, we were only compensated with the price of our 2 wines. The waiter continually apologized while I tried to wipe off the sticky soda.. which wasn't even ours.
The comp of at least my meal would have been expected. Other than this, the atmosphere is fine and the food good for the price.
Thank you Teca for providing a great Thanksgiving meal ! Very appreciative of the staff that worked.
3 hours for meal. Super slow service
We made reservations for the Thanksgiving day dinner, mainly because we had the choice of the special Thanksgiving day meal or the option to order off the regular menu. However, when we were presented with the dinner menu, we noticed several items of interest were not listed for the day. Since this left me with few options, I reluctantly ordered from the Thanksgiving menu. The server was helpful in pointing out some choices I could order without dairy, but I'm pretty sure the smashed potatoes were made with butter. I enjoyed my field greens salad. However, when my second course arrived, I was disappointed that the brussel sprouts were such a small portion and the turkey was not a good cut. Also, the turkey and vegetables were lukewarm at best, while the stuffing and potatoes were more than warm enough. Likewise, my adult son, who along with my husband ordered from the a la carte items, remarked how fatty his veal chop was compared to a well known steakhouse he frequents, and the temperature of his food was lukewarm as well. My husband had no complaints about his entree, and both he and my son were pleased with their appetizers. Unfortunately, the menu was too limited for my preference.
With beverages, our bill totaled more than $200.00. For that much money, we would have expected better quality food.
As always Teca was fabulous. I had the lobster ravioli which was delicious. The ambiance was great as alway. The staff are always wonderful.
I know many people stay home for thanksgiving, and I realize that’s more the norm. When the person you love who hosted the holiday passes away... it’s just not special to stay at home for the event anymore. For the last 4 years Teca has helped to make the holiday more than bearable, everyone is so kind and the ambiance makes it so cozy. Thank you for the hard working staff for all you do.
As always, food was excellent, and service outstanding. Nice quiet room with nice folks surrounding us.
Odd place. Extensive wine list with expensive wines ranging up to $500. But menus and tables look beat up. Food selections are somewhat limited. Not as good as I was hoping.
The food is great, the service was good and it is a very nice place. Very large. Big portions for brunch and bottomless mimoas (and I am sure other drinks). I found Teca when I was looking for places to hold corporate dinner events, which I will also be booking with Teca. My only criticism was that three large parties were sat right around us (a table of two) making it very hard to hear my brunch companion.
It was my fiancé’s surprise birthday party. The staff was very accommodating with a large group. They had seated us in an area with space so we wouldn’t feel too crammed. Everyone was able to walk around and talk and overall everyone had a good time. I will definitely be returning!
I went there with family, our meal was delicious. I would go back
Food fresh and good presentation. Service attentive. Very good vibe.
Our party of 12 had a wonderful time at Teca on a busy Saturday night for the restaurant. Our food was delicious; the cocktails amazing, especially the smoked Manhattan. And despite the fact the restaurant was crowded with parties and special events, we were not rushed through dinner. Two thumbs up from our perspective and will definitely go back again soon.
I had a reservation but they were very busy and served our entrees while we were still eating our appetizers. I don’t appreciate being rushed on a Saturday night when I’m catching up with a friend.
Beautiful restaurant; however, we waited 10 minutes for menus and 70 minutes for our food. Overall, I would not recommend Teca.
Great service and great food! I would recommend for family events or just a night out!
Always an enjoyable evening at Teca. The Bronzino was beautifully prepared and simply delicious. The veal chop was grilled perfectly, lots of juicy flavors. The staff is attentive and welcoming. Teca is a great spot.
Always enjoy Teca. This was a bday lunch for my friend. Food was great but service was not what I am used to there.
Waiter(Nick?) was robotic, stiff, unfriendly, and even rude at times. He brought check and said “No hurry.” But stood a few feet from me waiting. That was rude.
He is not the type of wait staff I am used to at Teca.
We sent on the porch with a group of 9 to celebrate a birthday. Our server Nick was amazing!!! We will be back. Food was delicious.
Consistently the best Italian cuisine in Delaware county. Service is friendly and attentive. Extensive cocktail and wine list. Thank you
Food and service were very good - we always have a great experience at Teca
Thank you your for sharing your experience with us. We're thrilled to hear everything enjoyed their experience! We look forward to serving you in the future. Jake Criscuolo | General Manager
Nick is our usual waiter. Hes is the best in his business and very personable.
Horrible service and they gave half of us the wrong food.
Appetizers of meatball al forno , and baked clams were very good - although beware of plenty of garlic on baked clams . My scallops were delicious as an entree - cooked perfectly. My sons ziti was good , and the ceasar salads were very good . Dessert of homemade apple pie with vanilla gelato was definitely something I’d order again . The waitress was very sweet , but a bit inconsistent . Slow service at times . In her defense - it was a busy Saturday evening . Over all a good meal - we have been before since it has been redone , and I’m sure we will be back . In Newtown Square it’s decent Italian - you know what the quality will be , and always good for pizzas and appetizers at the bar ( if you aren’t with the kids)
Our service was VERY good, from start to finish. The only drawback to the evening was the noise level, as it was difficult to carry a conversation.
The food’s presentation and flavors were phenomenal!
We read online about this restaurant. Our son was engaged the prior weekend and this was a celebration dinner for he and his fiancee`. Initially all was great. The restaurant was kind of noisy, but tolerable. Service and drinks were lovely. The host and wait staff greeted us and provided a complimentary champagne for the four of us. How cool. We then ordered a bottle of wine and a few other drinks. The coffee martini was great. We placed our order for dinner. It took a VERY LONG time to get our meal. We all began to wonder what was going on. On one occasion the server asked if we wanted another bottle of wine. We said not. After that, not one time did the server come and give us an update on our meal. We wondered and wondered what was going on. Finally dinner arrived. The risotto was very under cooked, the Chicken Parmesan was rubbery, the other two meals were adequate. When we completed the dinner, the server, after a prolonged wait offered desert. We decided that we did not want to do desert as we did not want to be there for another hour.
All in all we were there from 630 to 930 for a few drinks, a salad and main dish. The food was poor, the service was worse. It is a shame that what was an awesome start turned out so bad. We all agreed that we would not return again because of this experience. While we had a wonderful time with the kids, the restaurant let us down badly on food and service.
We have come here quite a few times and never had the issues we had tonight. It took 2.5hrs to be served and eat 2.5 courses.
The service was so incredibly slow. We waited 30 minutes from the time we ordered to get dessert. The food was okay . One meal had to be returned as the meat was subpar. The replacement meal was flavorless and chewy.
A major disappointment.
Zachery, waiter, was amazing. He recommended just the right dinner selection and cook preparation for my guest's steak. I had the salmon and it was delicious. Kudos to Zachery and Teca for a great night.
Good food, solid service, great pizza, in a loud and open space. Nothing great about the ambiance, but a friendly place to get a solid meal.
very good food and the service was very professional and pleasant.
As always, a wonderful dinner with friends. The veal parmigiana was excellent.
Food was excellent.! Really enjoyed our time there. Service and ambiance just perfect for our girlfriend get together .!
Loud. Some food was delicious, other food was okay.
Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow to clear plates.
Fantastic as usual! Delaware county's best Italian Restarant
I took my mother to lunch she is 92! She hasn’t stop talking about her lunch at Teca and how wonderful it was to be there
