Located on the vibrant waterfront promenade at Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Taverna presents a chic Greek dining experience serving authentic dishes in a rustic yet elegant setting.

Headed by Greek Chef Theo Rouvas, the kitchen promises a traditional taste of Greece, with a focus on fresh, local seafood, hand selected and cooked to each diner’s preference.

A charcoal grill visible from the walkway prepares meat cuts the rustic way, creating dishes to savour from simple cooking with Greek flavor.

Overall good. Mousaka can be much more rich in taste, aubergines inside been a bit over burned. It’s overpriced for this quality and taste. But all other food was really good!

* Easter dinner at 18:30 and no kleftiko at all , I think we got the last piece of Tsoureki , please more traditional Easter menu . We got the roasted lamp which is 11/10 and grilled octopus , non alcoholic mastics it was super amazing !!!

Chicken Souvlaki was sent out really under cooked …. Waiter took it back and they just re-cooked the same one despite half of the first one being spat out where it was raw - didn’t replace it with a fresh one. Tried telling me it was supposed to be pink as it’s thigh meat - I’ve eaten a lot of chicken thighs and there’s a difference between cooked and raw. The waiter then brought the bill over with the dish still on it before finally the manager removed the dish from the bill. Lovely setting though.

All in all pretty good, was seated at a table which was on a walkway for public. Outside of the restaurants terras. Bit weird. Service was very good. Food was decent but a bit overpriced. 70 Dirham for an appetizer which had 2 little shrimps (from the freezer) cut into even smaller pieces, some seaweed and not even an entire strawberry was way out of proportion. Especially if the salad is massive and was only 45. Weird pricing. Oh well, good to know next time. Main courses where appropriate.

Good was ok but expected more to be honest the whitebait was tiny and just drop fried and oily the chicken that came out the bread was cold and we didn’t get any service except order and delivery oh food no one asked if it was ok or if we wanted more drinks

You should assign 2 waitresses to each area. Instead, we had to deal with four different, either our orders came late or not in order. The food is delicious and worth the money; however, I wouldn't go there at the weekends. Fish of the day, greek salad, roasted potatoes(side) amazing

It was a beautiful experience, the atmosphere was awesome, Jimmy the server was amazing, he went out of his way to provide us a great service. The food delicious and fresh. Definitely we are coming back. If yiu visit Madinat you must try this restaurant.
