    excellent, excellent restaurant.......large menu, good happy hour offerings......and most importantly, very fresh fish [for the most part]. varied seating arrangements. reluctant to say more because i don't want to encourage crowds of sushi lovers to make it too difficult to book a table.

    I requested a specific table in the reservation and it was waiting for us. The restaurant was totally full on a Thursday night so do make reservations ahead. The server was good, the food came out without any extended wait. My husband ordered steak out of the blue and said it was perfectly done and well-flavored. My sushi rolls were both delicious and generously sized: Planet Earth and Las Vegas rolls. My only complaint was the noise level; with every table full made it had to have a conversation. The outside space looked nice.

    this was not our first time at Swan Sushi. The previous visits we thought every was very good. This time we had a real problem with service. Had a reservation and arrived on time to be seated at an outdoor table. 5 minutes later without being recognized by a server the table right next to us was seated. A couple of minutes later a server (female) came over walked past our table and started conversing with the table next to us. As her conversation with them continued our group decided that we would get up and move inside to sit at the bar where plenty of seats were available. it them took another 5-7 minutes to be recognized even though there were plenty of SWAN employees coming behind the bar for different reasons. Then finally we got drinks, bottle or wine, couple of cocktails and put in our appetizer order. It took forever to get to us. We had to ask after a long wait, "did our food get lost. Wow just not good. The reason for the 4 star rating was the food was very good, and I was gracious with giving the 2 star for service versus giving a 1 star for poor. Not sure we will be back with plenty of Sushi options in Scottsdale. Bummer
